The aim of this essay was to describe how school social workers can help and support students with parents who abuse alcohol or other drugs. We wanted to see how school social workers room for action is presented and how it affects their work with students living with parents who are abusing. We used a qualitative method to elucidate how school social workers handle this issue in a more profound way. By conducting semistructured interviews with six school social workers in one province in southern Sweden we gained exhaustive and detailed answers. In the analysis we used Street level bureaucracy and theory of recognition.

I dagens värld har länder ett tätt sammanlänkat ekonomiskt samarbete. Detta innebär att ifall ett land drabbas av en finanskris, kommer även andra länder att falla likt dominobrickor, in i en väntande finanskris. Just detta skedde år 2008 och 2011, då ett flertal av världens länder drabbades av en stor finansiell kris. I skuggan av dessa kriser växte en social rörelse fram vars syfte var att uppmärksamma människor om vad som, enligt rörelsen, egentligen hade hänt. Rörelsen som växte fram är känd som Occupy-rörelsen.

The purpose of this thesis is to inquire how a small town can be affected by some planned changes in the physical structure of the town, and how its inhabitants can benefit from those major changes. The town in question is Ulricehamn, and of the four projects considered, two concerns infrastructure. A new railway and a new locality for the major road, today passing through Ulricehamn. The other two projects are run by the local authorities, that is the planning of a modern town park by the lake, and a new public building for cultural purposes. There are no guarantees that any of the four projects will ever be realized, but in the process with this work, they have been considered as already a fact.

SFEHA project about a clothing brand and a new kind of showroom that looses it´s structure during the process.But managed to find the core and produced a personal mirror of prints for a greater cause.Sfeh is the brand with quality and humor in focus and the will to push the boundries. With prints based on free drawing and smart thinking as it´s essential base.The project resulted with a various collection with mostly T-shirts but also textile gloves and bed sheets..

Det här är ett kandidatarbete på 15Hp som beskriver arbetsprocessen bakom mitt bidrag till tävlingen Street furniture light. Arbetet beskriver litteraturstudie, inventering, analys, skissprocess samt mitt vidareutvecklade förslag.I det här arbetet använder jag mig av funktionsanalys för att finna vilka funktioner som en gatumöbel kan ha i olika sammanhang. Det är till stor del resultatet av funktionsanalysen som ligger till grund för de idéskisser som presenteras i arbetet.Den idé som jag har vidareutvecklat och sammanställt som ett tävlingsbidrag är ett cykelställssystem där belysningen framhäver cykelställets rumsskapande kvalitéer. I diskussionsavsnittet reflekterar jag över min egen designprocess och hur det här projektet skiljer sig från den typen av gestaltning som jag är van vid under utbildningen.

The Streetscape is a complex environment with a lot of different parts and users. If you look at the Streetscapes main parts you have floor, walls, roof and furniture. The floor in the Streetscape, the Street, consists of the ground and the paving. It can be made of a lot of different materials with both architectonic and practical functions. The walls usually consist of the houses. They have a big influence on the Streetscape depending on architecture, heights and widths.

 Our study aims at investigating the unit manager?s, within LSS, perceiveddiscretion, when people with Down´s syndrome develop Alzheimer?s disease. We wanted to know what they perceive as limiting factors or facilitators in order to meet changing and/or emerging needs, as well as how they interpret their discretion in relation to this. We have conducted semi-structured qualitative interviews with five unit mangers within LSS.When analyzing the interview material, we have used a theoretical approach from a Street-level bureaucracy and from the unit managers? perceiveddiscretion point of view.Our study?s result demonstrate that the unit managers are experiencing a wide discretion and do not feel a need to widen their identifieddiscretion..

Children shoes today is designed with the idea that there feet need a lot of support.Due to this the shoes are stiff all over and children are not recommend to wereshoes when they learn how to walk1. It is also quite difficult to squeeze there feet into these shoes.My project is about minimizing the gap between learning how to walk bare footindoors to take the first steps outside. And while doing that create a collection ofshoes and create a new brand; My First Sneakr.My First Sneakrs is inspired by retro sneakers, hiphop- and Street culture. Theshoes are colored with attitude and the models are unisex. The outsoles are soft tomimic the bare foot feeling.The shoe has an opening feature in the back, making it easy to put on.

The title of this project: "Istället för träd" translates as "Instead of trees" or "Replacing trees". By looking at different ways of replacing trees in the urban environment through functionality analysis, I study the creative process. To achieve this, I present eleven different ideas, and follow and analyse the process of sketching. One conclusion about the creative process is that it is a non-linear chain of events influenced by factors like method, external impressions and chance. A complete design, "Trasmattan" ("The rag") is presented. It consists of a colourful striped carpet made from rubber surfacing covering part of the sidewalks of the central Street "Dragarbrunnsgatan" in Uppsala, Sweden. .

Accessibility is today a topic of high current interest. It is a requirement for equality and a democracy question. By the year 2010, easy measured hindrances in all of Sweden's municipalities should be cleared away; this is stated in Swedish law. The physical accessibility to our public places is particularly important for functionally disabled people since it affects their possibilities to be outdoors and also their participation in society. When designing these places, it is difficult to find solutions that fit everybody, especially since good accessibility not only should fulfill all physical requirements of accessibility but also values of experience.

The aim in this project was to spread play in the city and acrossgenerations. My way of approaching this challenge was to explore theborderland between playground equipment and Street furniture. Thisopened up many possibilities to afford play in places where playgroundequipment often is excluded.The goal was to create one, or more, furniture with play value. The targetgroup was all vivasious people spending time in the public outdoorspace. Through user studies, a lot of serious playing and a lot of testing,the project resulted in a bench called Rollin´.

How can former military area I5 in Östersund, Sweden, evolve into Stadsdel Norr ("The Northern Quarter") ? an attractive part of the town center? In a theoretical part of the essay the significants of well functioning towns and Streets are investigated. The history of Östersund and I5 is shortly reviewed. Present recommendations concerning city design are presented along with guidelines from Vägverket (National Road Administration) for urban Streets. The conclusion reached is that a fundamental structure of Streets and roads, public and private spaces, is crucial for the possible future development of an area.

Socialtjänstlagen (2001:453) är en ramlag i vilken socialsekreterare med ett särskilt handlingsutrymme fattar beslut. I uppsatsen undersöks, genom vinjettmetoden, hur nio socialsekreterare i tre kommuner fattar beslut som rör barn. Socialsekreterarna arbetar med försörjningsstöd. Syftet med uppsatsen är att belysa beslutsmotiveringar. I beslutsmotiveringarna undersöks särskilt hur barnperspektivet beaktas. I uppsatsen har Lipskys teori genom "Street Level Bureaucracy ? Dilemmas of the Individual in Public Services" använts. Resultatet av uppsatsen är bl a att beslut varierar beroende på var klienten bor samt vilken socialsekreterare denne tilldelas..
