The intention of this thesis in political science is to understand how the European Union fights and prevents discrimination against the Roma minorities in Sweden and Romania, and how the implementation works in reality. The study consists of defining what it means to be objectively discriminated, what ethnicity really means and how the implementation process consist of a comparison and statement has been made by the national governments and comparing how two socioeconomically different member states handle EU directives and implement them in Sweden and Romania. The main findings of this study was that EU policies lack the capital and explicitness that is needed for great results to be accomplished and that the governments in both countries have different issues with implementing the protection of the human rights and Roma culture, and that EU needs to be more practical and develop in a faster pace. .

Under senare tid har trycket på företag från statliga organ, media och vanliga medborgare vad gäller socialt ansvar ökat. Detta har medfört ett ökat intresse från företag världen över vad gäller sociala frågor och företagens egna ansvar gentemot dessa. Vår undersökning var en dokumentanalys av Sveriges tjugo största börsnoterade företag och dess retorik kring corporate social responsibility (CSR). Genom att använda Porter och Kramers teori om strategisk CSR har vi därefter undersökt hur retoriken kring företagens CSR arbete har förts kring frågor som behandlar strategisk alternativt kosmetisk CSR. Genom att kontrollera hur dessa företag valt att föra fram sitt CSR arbete i årsredovisningar och CSR rapporter har vi dragit slutsatsen att det finns mycket arbete kvar att göra för majoriteten av företagen.

Syftet med studien ?r att unders?ka tio kommuners broschyrer och tre kampanjfilmer som handlar om utsortering av matavfall. Med hj?lp av van Leeuwens (2007) legitimeringsmodell unders?ks vilka legitimeringsstrategier kommuner anv?nder sig av f?r att f? inv?nare att sortera sitt matavfall. Resultatet visar att de vanligaste legitimeringsstrategierna ?r moralisk v?rdering och rationalisering.

Research shows that the implementation of the curriculum have failed in the subjects investigated (Skolinspektionen, 2013:22). The intention is to focus on the implementation of the tablet in preschools and how the intentions around the introduction of the tablet take shape in different preschools. The method is semi structured interviews where the respondents consist of 3 preschool directors and 6 teachers where the preschool directors work. This is a relevant subject to illustrate, as the tablet has become a tool in preschool where it seems to be different opinions about how it should be used. This study aims to understand how the implementation can take form in different preschools, what kind of similarities and differences we can see with the intentions of the tablet and if there is need of clarification on the workings of the tablets in preschools. The results show that the intentions around the introduction of the tablet in preschool look different in the preschools, and the implementation of this new technology starts in a small scale with help of photographing and videotaping.

The Purpose of the study was to highlight the primary care managers' perception of the barriers and opportunities in the implementation of the national guidelines for harmful drinking and alcohol abuse in KalmarCounty. The data was collected by questionnaires which were directed to all primary care managers in the county. The response rate was low, 40%. Denna uppsats har sin utgångspunkt i den tekniska evolution som har skett i affärssystemens värld. Syftet var att undersöka och beskriva implementat-ionsfasen av ett Enterprise Resource Planning System som tillhandahålls som en tjänst via internet. Fokus var att identifiera framgångsfaktorer för implementationen med hjälp av ett fallstudiebaserat tillvägagångssätt där tonvikt legat på intervjuer och andrahandsmaterial. This thesis compares the impact on disk performance in a GNU/Linux  environmentwith three encryption algorithms: AES,  Serpent and Twofish in three different implementations: DM-crypt, Loop-AES and Truecrypt. For all three algorithms a key length of 256 bits is used.The thesis shows that the least performance impact during data encryption, and thus file writing, is reached by using AES or Twofish encryption implemented in DM-crypt or TrueCrypt. The thesis shows that some data operations with a sufficiently low processor utilization barely affects disk performance at all if encrypted using the optimal implementation and algorithm.It is also discovered that the performance impact during data decryption, or file reading, can be minimized by using the most efficient implementation and algorithm. The best results are met with the AES or Twofish cipher, regardless of implementation.An important conclusion that  is  drawn is that it is hard to determine a superior encryption solution for all purposes. However, by reviewing and examining the collected data from all aspects of disk performance the AES implementation in TrueCrypt is, with small marginals, determined to be the most optimal..

Ämnet för detta examensarbete är kommunikation, och som uppdragsgivare står Swepart Verktyg AB. Företaget upplever det som svårt att nå ut till nyutexaminerade ingenjörer, och få dessa att söka jobb inom företaget. Mitt uppdrag har således varit att ta fram en strategisk kommunikationsplan för hur de kan gå tillväga i det arbetet. Målgruppen är studenter vid Maskinteknik på Lunds tekniska högskola, ett program som under vårterminen 2008 har 549 inskrivna studenter. Med kvalitativ forsknings-metod, närmare bestämt fem fokusgrupper, har jag undersökt frågeställningar som hur maskinteknolog-studerande upplever marknadsföring, hur de ser på sin framtida karriär och vilka normer och värderingar som råder inom deras akademiska fält.
