This is the final documentation of the basis that can be the foundation of how to solve theproblem with leaking hydraulic oil in a shoe press at the company Albany InternationalAB in Halmstad, Sweden.The project has been performed at Halmstad University as a degree project commissionedby Albany International AB. The purpose of the degree project was to find a way ofdetecting the hydraulic leak of a shoe press. The reason is that the shoe press runsunattended during nights and weekends, this can cause an extensive decontaminationwork and production Stop if leak. The hydraulic oil could be leaking in large amounts orslowly as a fine mist. The development of a working system that can detect a hydraulicoil leak and Stop the machine before a large amount of hydraulic oil leaks out wouldconsiderably reduce the cost of the decontamination work.

This thesis is an evaluation of a new design concept for statorfeets in Gallejaur hydro power plant. Founder of the work is Vattenfall AB Vattenkraft. During the 70- and 80´s nuclear power began to be phased in to the Swedish grid, which meant that hydropower became an important source of rules. The generators began running in so called intermittent operations instead of basic operations, which meant 300-600 start/Stop per year instead of one-ten numbers start/Stop per year. In order to deal with the thermal forces that arise at every start and Stop suppliers began to mount so called sliding joints, which is to take advantage of these forces and maintain the stator shape.

Sågverksindustrins logistikkostnader är idag höga och utgör närmare en fjärdedel avslutpriset på produkten. Branschen möter nu konkurrens från andra delar av Europa ochkunderna ställer samtidigt högre krav på snabbare och mer flexibla leveranser. I Varberggörs sedan hösten 2009 en stor satsning för att effektivisera logistikflödet inom branschenför sågade trävaror vilket har resulterat i ett koncept som sedan 2011 går under namnetTimberbridge.Med utgångspunkt i de höga logistikkostnaderna inom sågverksindustrin är studiens syfteatt studera om samarbete mellan företag kan effektivisera sågverkens transport-ochlogistikupplägg från sågverk till kund. För att utreda detta genomfördes inledningsvis endjupintervju med en representant från Port of Varberg för att få relevantbakgrundsinformation. Dessutom har tidigare forskning inom olika teoretiska områdenstuderats och har sedan kombinerats med empirisk data från en undersökning i form avtelefonintervjuer med 29 svenska sågverk.Det insamlade datamaterialet har sedan analyserats och resultatet visar att Timberbridgehar goda förutsättningar för att bli en etablerad leverantör för svenska sågverk.

I denna rapport redogörs för en implementering av fusion mellan kortdistanssensorer. Syftet med denna implementering är att erhålla Stop & Go-funktionalitet till den adaptiva farthållaren som idag finns som tillval i Scanias lastbilar. Adaptiv farthållning, ACC, är en funktion som automatiskt anpassar fordonets hastighet ifall detta kommer ikapp ett annat fordon som färdas långsammare än den inställda hastigheten. Scanias system använder sig idag av en långdistanssensor som ser långt men har smalt synfält. Genom att komplettera denna med kortdistanssensorer, som ser kort men brett, kan önskvärt synfält i närområdet för att säkert kunna implementera Stop & Go-funktionen uppnås.

The living library started in Denmark at the festival of Roskilde in 2000. It was initiated by the youth organisation ?Stop volden? (?Stop the violence?). Since 2005 the idea of lending a human being who represents a prejudice has also become a practice in a few public libraries in Sweden. I found it interesting to analyse the living library in relation to the mission of diversity in the public library.

During September 2010, Google decided to change their trade mark policy to allow keywords which is equal to an already own trademark to be offered to all who intend to link the word to their ad. They offered a service for this called Adwords. The update followed since The Court Of Justice (CoJ) stated that Google does not commit trade mark infringement by doing this. The question to answer is whether the proprietors of trademarks can do something to Stop them from being used by competitors as keywords in Adwords. CoJ has stated that the advertisers are infringing the exclusive right of a trademark if the used keyword is identical to the trademark, the commercial focuses on products that is identical to the products which are registered on the trademark and if the commercial makes it difficult or impossible to an average internet user to decide whether the products originate from the proprietor, a company which has a financial connection to the proprietor or a third party.

We have conducted ethnographical studies concerning the one-Stop-shops frontdesk and telephone exchange. During these studies we became aware of some differences under which the daily work was to be carried out. When operating the switchboard the staff usually work alone and perform the tasks individually.

This project is part of the course MF10YX, introductory mechatronics. The purpose of theproject is to integrate modules from the group members previous specializations into amechatronic system in the form of a self-balancing robot. The prototype ?Charlie? should be ableto race along a 10 - 30 m line. It should be able to start manually and autonomously detect andStop after the finishing line.

This report discusses the development of an autonomous system that can travel a distance of atleast 30 meters on two wheels. The system, the robot, detects black lines and Stops if one isdetected. A remote control can be used to start and Stop the robot. The robot is constructed ofmainly steel with smaller, more detailed, parts in plastic. A significant amout of time has beenused to enable the robot to balance on its own.

This thesis is developed by Posten Åland AB in order to simplify the work of agency staff when distributing mail in rural areas. In my thesis I have developed an application to help automotive mail dispensers. The need for such an application exists, especially during the summer but at other times when ordinary dividend cannot run his route. With the help of a PDA and a GPS the mail dispenser should see where the next Stop is and what is to be delivered thereThere already was a directory of mailboxes and the addressees and the coordinates of the mailboxes. Using this, I will implement functionality to retrieve a specific route and plot those coordinates on the map..
