Arvika Fjärrvärme AB, a district heating company from Arvika, today cover 74 % of their total energy production with biofuel wich runs a 16 MW bioler giving process water at saturated liquid state.In recent years Vaporel AB has introduced a new tecnique that gives an external generation of steam after boilers. The concept is built on an adiabatic pressure drop of the saturated liquid in a so called Flashbox which makes a small part of the liquid to evaporate. The generated steam is lead into a turbine where electricity is in a conventional manner.The purpose with this rapport was to do a basic study for the specific system at Arvika where it?s possible to see the potential production of electricity that follows an installation of a flasbox.The final goal was to introduce an economic analysis of a flashox installation at given conditions.To reach our goals we have created a model in Excel where we used the given conditions at Arvika Fjärrvärme to do our calculations. The model has been tested at three different states, of process water returning to potboiler, to be able to decide the optimal operation for the system at present.The studies have resulted in a pressure of the processwater at 14,5 bar (at) and a pressuredrop to 9,5 bar (at) in the flashbox.

This is a study of how emotional engagement can be measured and be taken into account in the development of websites. We believe that emotions become relevant only when viewed in correlation to how users experiencing a webpage. In this study, we developed a tool for use together with user tests where the information about the user's emotional engagement can add new value to the evaluation. The tool allows the user to mark, on the website, his/her emotions and level of engagement represented by colored circles, generating quantiative data on how users feel about the website. The tool is part of a method for evaluating the emotional engagement that we have developed which consists of user testing supported by the tool and accompanied by interviews..

Jag har valt att placera operan i Frihamnen för jag tror att det är bra för stadens utveckling att flytta ut viktiga byggnader så att innerstaden får växa ochde nya bostadsområderna får en egen, attraktiv karaktär. Operan skulle bli en samlingplats och knutpunkt för den nya värtastaden och skapa ett flöde fråninnerstan till Frihamnen, vilket skulle gynna verksamheter i området och leda till en blandning av bostäder och olika verksamheter..

Någonting händer i Stockholm, någonting strävar uppåt. Staden som tidigare utvidgat sig genom nya förorter och nya kollektivtrafiknät har bytt riktning. Det är inte längre de horisontella spåren som sträcker sig ut från stadskärnan som visar vägen för expanderingen. Det är en ny längtan efter vertikala riktningar där staden förtätas på höjden. För att studera detta använder denna studie forskningsbaserad design och designbaserad forskning som metodik, detta genom att designa en prototyp grundat i teori om hur spelifiering kan användas i en hållbarhetskontext och hur människor motiveras. En prototyp på en applikation utvecklades och baserades på ett antal energispartips som användaren kunde bocka av när de var utförda. This master?s degree project concerns the combination of a multi dwelling passive house with solar energy for the generation of electricity and domestic hot water (DHW). Different alternatives with either solar thermal systems or photovoltaic (PV) systems are compared with two reference alternatives producing DHW from electricity or district heating. The economical comparison uses a life cycle cost (LCC) perspective based on the present value of expenditures for investment, energy and annual operating and maintenance.The energy yields from the solar energy systems were calculated by hand and with simulation software. Calculation and dimensioning of PV systems were carried out with a software called PVSYST.

The purpose of this master thesis has been to find different solutions to the design of a headlamp with a cluster of three or possibly four high power LEDs (Light Emitting Diodes). During the work, two different problems have been considered; how to design a lens in order to shape the light beam in a desirable way, and how to design a cooling system which will lower the temperature of the LEDs as efficiently as possible, still taking into account the geometry set by the optical solution as well as other given geometries. This paper reports a study in how interaction design and graphic design is affected in the process of developing an mobile application to complement the use of an existing webbsite. The paper also ask how developers are affected in this process by the use of designpatterns. The purpous of the report was to see how designpatterns affects the development of mobile applications and how the interaction and graphic design differs between various company webbsites and their related application. A study was conducted by comparing three diffrent webbsites with three related applications to find material for our thesis. Interviews were conducted on three diffrent companys that work professionaly with creating mobile applications.

When different type of programs are developed one wants to make these adjustable to future changes and requirements. It must be done a good design of the program from the beginning to make it possible to continue development of it without having to redo big parts of it to high costs. In the area of object orientation there are design pattern, which can be used to design systems that can be adjusted to new changes in an easier way. I have in this thesis chosen to take a closer look at how to design a program that sends SMS to cell phones through a system of an operator. One requirement on the program is that it has to be possible to change what operator to send though in an easy way.

This study has been carried out in the spring of 2014 on behalf of PQR Consult AB in Stockholm. The aim of the study has been to analyse the energy usage of the building Skarpövägen 1 in order to explore the possibilites of saving energy by using appropriate equipment. These possible solutions have been simulated by using the programe IDA Indoor Climate and Energy, combined with a life cycle cost analysis. The laundry building, Skarövägen 23, has also been analysed due to its high amount of energy usage. The result of the energy analysis showed that the energy usage was much higher than the energy declaration.

Syftet med denna c-uppsats är att få ökad kunskap och förståelse för hur biståndshandläggare i Stockholm praktiskt tillämpar biståndslagarna i handläggningen gällande personer med psykiska funktionshinder. Studien är genomförd i Stockholm Stads arton stadsdelar och i åtta av Stockholms nordvästkommuner med hjälp av en mixad design som består av en enkät med uppföljande frågor. Frågeställningarna är: -Vilken lagstiftning tillämpas i Stockholms Stads stadsdelar samt i Stockholms nordvästkommuner när insatser ges till personer med psykiska funktionshinder, LSS eller SoL, och i vilken omfattning? -Hur motiverar handläggarna valet av lagstiftning då de beslutar om bistånd till personer med psykiska funktionshinder? -Vilka kan konsekvenserna bli för personer med psykiska funktionshinder avseende hur handläggningen genomförs, hur nordvästkommunerna och stadsdelarna organiserar sig samt samarbetar med relevanta parter?Studiens resultat bekräftar mycket av den tidigare forskningen på området. Denna c-uppsats visar att LSS används i mycket mindre utsträckning än SoL för personer med psykiska funktionshinder.
