This essay investigates how teacher sees and uses mainstream movies as a teaching method. The main question approached is: How does teachers use feature films as a teaching method? Which movies are used and how does their working methods surrounding the movies look like? The purpose of the essay is to make the reader reflect over what influence mainstream media has over the historic knowledge of the students and how teachers use that for educational purposes. The business around historical film has grown over the years and is now a million dollar industry. The conclusion is that teachers mostly use feature films to provoke emotional reactions from the students.

Adoptive parents need to be able to reflect on the interaction with the child, both from the perspective of their own relational experience with the child and from the perspective of the previous experience of the child. This essay explores five adoptive parent´s thoughts and feelings about their children?s background. It also looks into how they think that the children?s background influences their way of expressing their needs and how this makes the parents feel.

Syftet med studien var att undersöka om en flygolycka påverkar passagerarnas flygrädsla på längre sikt och eventuella konsekvenser som det kan innebära. Hur och på vilka sätt påverkar i så fall ett trauma som en flygolycka passagerarnas rädsla att flyga utifrån ett längre tidsperspektiv. 27 män och kvinnor, som alla var med i flygolyckan i Gottröra den 27 december 1991, har varit målgrupp för studien. Metoden som användes var en enkätundersökning distribuerad till 44 personer, med 27 medverkade till en svarsprocent på 61 %.  Resultatet av undersökningen visar att samtliga respondenter hävdar att de inte var flygrädda innan flygolyckan, medan över 70 % är flygrädda efter händelsen och 81 % av dem anser att flygolyckan var den bidragande orsaken till deras flygrädsla.

But in what extent do loanwords from the English vocabulary occur in texts written by Swedish sportjournalists, in what types of texts they can be found. And also why the usage of loanwords occur.The purpose of our study is to find out how frequent English loanwords are in Swedish sports journalism.

Ten years ago the public computers with Internet access were introduced in the public libraries. The purpose of the public computers was to give the possibility of searching information. Along with the Internet came also communication media like chat and e-mail. This type of communication was a new function for the libraries and the reactions among the librarians were mixed. It has been a source of big frustration and attempts to block it has not succeeded.

The purpose of this essay is to examine how same-sex couples experience the second-parent adoption process. To assist us, we have used our questions: how do the couples describe their experiences of the adoption process? Which are the couples? stories about the experience of contact with the involved professionals? What are the opportunities and barriers for same-sex couples to start a family? How do the couples describe their experience of reactions from the community and society, and how do they think the future will look like for same-sex couples? This study has been achieved through a qualitative approach. The empirical data is based on seven semi-structured interviews with same-sex couples or pair members that want to or have had a second-parent adoption. The theory we have used for analyzing the results is phenomenology with focus on queer theory, heteronormativity, and power.

Tester av CAPM och Beta av bland andra Eugene Fama och Kenneth French (1992) har visat att det inte existerar något samband mellan systematisk risk (beta) och avkastning för aktier på den amerikanska aktiemarknaden. Andra forskare hävdar att det kan finnas ett samband mellan beta och avkastning om den studerade tiden fokuserar på isolerade perioder med antingen positiva eller negativa marknader. Kritik har även riktats av bland annat Richard Roll för att olika index som approximation för aktiemarknaden vid beräkningen av beta kan generera helt skilda värden och således betyda att investerare kan ha olika förväntade avkastningar för samma aktie.I denna studie försöker författarna besvara frågan om det existerar ett signifikant samband mellan beta och avkastning på den svenska aktiemarknaden. I studien undersöks sambandet på en aggregerad nivå under den totala studieperioden mellan 2003-2011 och även under isolerade positiva samt negativa marknader under samma period. Författarna använder sig av två olika index som approximation för den svenska aktiemarknaden, OMX Stockholm PI och OMX Stockholm 30, vid beräkningen av beta. För att kunna undersöka sambandet delas aktierna in i portföljer där snittvärden på beta och avkastning beräknas och studeras sedan i regressionsberäkningar.Resultatet av studien visar att det existerar ett signifikant samband mellan risk, symboliserat av beta, och avkastning på den svenska aktiemarknaden vid positiva marknader under den studerade tidsperioden.

Mergers between companies has become more and more common in Sweden and in the rest of the world with the motive to increase the competitive strength in the current markets and has an important role within organisational development of companies. When organisations merger there is not only buildings and objects that are put together but also their individual organisational structures, people, values and cultures. This can be a difficult process and can affect many people in how they think conscious as well as unconscious, feel and react.The purpose of this thesis is to gain a deeper understanding of how employees are affected following a merger when changes in the organisational culture come up, and how these changes are expressed.This thesis is delimited to investigate only one company, Skruf Snus AB and only focus on their business and employees in the region of Stockholm. The thesis contains a qualitative investigation with semi structured interviews that has been carried out with eight employees at Skruf Snus AB. The thesis is partly based on a model of Schein which describes the different levels in organisational culture and partly on some theories about reactions to change in relation to the integration between the employees following a merger.The results of the investigation indicate that with a merger the whole organisational culture is affected and therefore also the employees.

Studien undersöker reaktioner gentemot förändringar i det samhällsvetenskapliga programmet gällande ämnena religionskunskap, filosofi och psykologi. Skolverkets förslag att slå samman filosofi med psykologi kritiserades utifrån administrativa problem. Ämnena ansågs dessutom vara alltför olikartade för att slås ihop med hänsyn till deras vetenskapliga metoder, innehåll och historik. Resultatet är i linje med Lindes begrepp ämnesprofessionell kod och Hargreaves begrepp påtvingad kollegialitet.

Pyometra, chronic purulent metritis in metoestrus, is a common disease in intact bitches. About 25% of all bitches in Sweden have contracted the disease before ten years of age. Syftet med våruppsats är att ur ett konsumentperspektiv undersöka medvetenheten kring hurföretag marknadsför produkter och tjänster genom att stimulera de mänskligasinnena samt undersöka reaktioner och åsikter om detta. För att svara vårt syfte haren kvalitativ undersökning gjorts och metoden vi valt är fokusgrupp samtkvalitativa intervjuer. Resultatet visar att det råder en medvetenhet hoskonsumenter kring företags arbetssätt samt över lag en positivitet gentemotexperimentella metoder. Konsumenter har en högre acceptansnivå till att blimanipulerade via subtil sinnesmarknadsföring än via traditionell sådan, så länge defår ett utbyte i form av en upplevelse eller känsla.

PurposeThe purpose with this C-essay is to give a description of disordered eating in sports. Further, I also wanted to make a survey of the knowledge of the trainers and their attitudes to eating disorders within sports. I will bring a good view of the problem. I hope that it will give a wider knowledge, acceptance and understanding for the problem. Hopeful can that making the problem smaller and also making it easier for those who are afflicted, the trainer and other peoples.MethodI have used two methods; a study of previous studies and other information and also a questionnaire.

Människan står inför en rad olika miljöproblem och skogen spelar en central roll som ett hållbart alternativ. Detta ställer i sin tur krav på skogsindustrin att leverera produkter till konkurrenskraftiga priser. För att göra skogsindustrins produkter attraktiva krävs ett starkt skogsbruk som kan tillgodose industrin med de råvaror den behöver i form av timmer och massaved. Sågverken är idag utsatta av hård global konkurrens och har därigenom behövt anpassa och effektivisera sin produktion vilket således ställt nya krav på skogsbruket. Skogsbruket klarar i dagsläget inte av att fullt nå sågverkens längdkrav på grund av en alltför stor längdvariation på kapade stockar.
