In this thesis I have criticized traditional nationalism theories formulated by Eric Hobsbawm, Ernest Gellner, Benedict Anderson and Anthony D. Smith. The critique has been based on my belief that nationalism theories do not explain nations whose foundation is built on forward-looking, dynamic aspects such as economy, human and civil rights, and democracy. Traditional nationalism theories have been focused on historicizing perspectives whereas I want to draw attention to non-historicizing perspectives within the field of research. So far nationalism theories has had a shared past or a shared ethnicity as its focal point.

Studiens syfte är att med hjälp av denna systematiska litteraturstudie undersöka om förändringar inom teknikämnet i årskurs 1-6 kan öka flickors teknikintresse. Frågeställningen som det sökts svar på i aktuell internationell forskning, är följande:Anser aktuell forskning att skolan bör förändras för att öka teknikintresset hos flickor i årskurs 1-6, och i så fall, varför och på vilket sätt?För att få svar på frågeställningarna har systematiska sökningar i databaserna Eric (Proquest), Summon och www.avhandlingar.se gjorts. Engelska sökord som är aktuella för ämnet har valts ut för att ge en bred men ändå riktad sökning. Resultatet till studien är baserad på två avhandlingar och fem artiklar, varav en artikel är en metaanalys och fyra är forskningsstudier.

The purpose of this master?s thesis is to investigate the reading habits of six men who do not read fiction. The reason for my interest is the fact that men statistically read less fiction than women, and that there are few existing studies of this subject. The study investigates why these men do not read fiction, their attitudes towards literature, their reading habits, their leisure-time interests and if they experience fiction from other activities. Furthermore the study includes a discussion of whether or not there might be a connection between the men?s reading habits and their identity as men, as well as a discussion of all of the above in relation to their social background.

This paper deals with village history around millstone quarry Eastern Utsjö in Malung, Sweden, in the hope of finding deposits that could date the quarry, in that the quarry in the current situation is dated only by the millstone fragments outside the resort. My purpose was to conduct a discussion on the quarry alone can be dated by deposits outside the resort. I have used FMIS RAÄ:s fornsök and a lot of literature to identify village history. The results showed that it is not possible to date the millstone quarry from village history, but through deposits outside the resort of Malung, which have been found around Mälardalen, Sweden through archaeological excavations, and derived from the millstone quarry Eastern Utsjö, can put an age on the quarry..

Arbetet innehåller en översikt av kartläggningsmaterial som är speciellt anpassade till elever på tidig utvecklingsnivå med flera funktionsnedsättningar. Med hjälp av intervjuer undersöks vilka kartläggningsmaterial som används i verksamheterna. The purpose of this Masters Thesis is to explore the impact of spare time reading fiction on the identity of teenage boys, and what it really means to them. To investigate this, we have focused our investigation on how teenage boys relate to and what they search for in their reading. The data collection is based on 8 interviews with boys in the age between 14 and 15 and on literature on the subject. The theoretical framework focuses on the reading theories of Joseph A. Appleyard, the transactional theory of Louise M.

Det här dokumentet är en litteraturstudie över några av de vanligaste missuppfattningarna inom arbetsområdet taluppfattning och tals användning inom matematiken. Fokus på missuppfattningarna ligger inom området för decimaltal. Studien behandlar också hur lärare kan arbeta för att minska antalet missuppfattningar i sitt arbete med decimaltal. I studien har litteratur från tidskrifterna Nämnaren och Nordisk Matematik Didaktik från Nationellt Centrum för Matematikutbildning läst. Artiklar från databasen ERIC har använts som komplement för att ge en bredare syn på missuppfattningar och lärares arbete.

Det här examensarbetet är skrivet på C-nivå, inom ämnet skogshushållning på institutionen för Sydsvensk skogsvetenskap. Omfattningen är 10 poäng (15 hp), vilket motsvarar 10 veckors heltidsstudier. Handledare för arbetet har varit Ulf Johansson och Per Magnus Ekö, examinator var Eric Agestam. Studien handlar om skogliga försöksytor på Omberg i Östergötland. Bakgrunden till att jag valde att skriva det här arbetet är att skogarna på Omberg sedan låg tid tillbaka har varit föremål för skoglig forskning och försöksverksamhet. Redan i början av 1900-talet anlade dåvarande Statens Skogsförsöksanstalt de första skogliga försöksytorna där.

The aim of this bachelor thesis is to find out how a number ofhospital librarians look at child and youth patients' reading and itspossible role in a mental and physical healing process. We alsoinvestigate the knowledge, strategies and thoughts the librarianshave on bibliotherapy.Qualitative interviews have been used and seven librarians, at twodifferent hospital libraries with children's and youth activities, wereinterviewed during November and December 2011. The analysis isbased on one theory; we use Sten Furhammar?s model whichincludes four different categories of reading.We can see, according to the librarians? answers, that the mostcommon function of the patients? reading can be explained throughtwo of Furhammar?s categories. Our respondents believe that thepatients mostly read to relax from heavy thoughts and situationswhich can be connected to the category impersonal experiencereading.
