Har graden av rörlighet någon betydelse för spänst och explosivitet vid hoppförmågan?

AbstraktDet finns blandade åsikter om att en grad av rörlighet över det normala skulle vara främjande eller hämmande för prestationen och därför var syftet i denna studie att mäta rörlighet och den maximala hoppförmågan hos gymnaster, cheerleaders och individer som utövar parkour för att undersöka om rörligheten har någon betydelse för spänst/ explosivitet. Undersökningsgruppen bestod av 15 friska deltagare varav 8 män och 7 kvinnor i åldrarna 18-32 år. Deltagarna genomförde tre Countermovement jump hopp (CMJ) och static jump där markering gjordes på en vägg för att mäta hopphöjd. Enbens längdhopp mättes också. Aktiv rörlighet mättes i fotled vid både dorsalflexion, plantarflexion och sit and reach (bakre rörelsekedjan).

Utvärdering av kalkstens egenskaper med laboratorie- och fältmetoder.

A pavement construction designed to cope with the different type of traffic loads; it is exposed to and at the same time it can resist the effect of the climate. A road structure consists of sub- and superstructure which is divided by a boundary known as terrace. During the construction of unbound layers (base course and sub-base course) in the superstructure, it is always ensured that the material meet the requirements for bearing capacity and the degree of compaction. These parameters are controlled by various laboratory tests and control methods. To obtain increased knowledge of the material and improve the quality of the compaction in the field, it is necessary to perform laboratory tests in order to determine material properties.A base course material 0/ 32 mm limestone from Gotland (Hejdeby) was investigated in this study.

Statisk detektering av minneshanteringsfel i C/C++

Det här examensarbetet är baserat på idéer ur ett uppdrag från företaget Saab Aerotech men är ett eget arbete.Målet var att undersöka om det finns behov av ett verktyg som statiskt kan detektera dynamiska minneshanteringsproblem, som till exempel minnesläckage, i applikationer skrivna i C/C++. På grund av att minneshanteringsfel i C/C++ länge har varit ett känt problem undersökte vi detta och de befintliga lösningarna till det.Vi fann två metoder till lösningar som de flesta verktyg använde sig av; statisk och dynamisk detektering. De flesta verktyg löste problemet genom att dynamiskt detektera minnesläckor och andra brister som till exempel buffer overflows. Ett verktyg löste dock problemet genom att statisk detektera minneshanteringsfel i källkoden för applikationerna. Eftersom alla befintliga lösningar har någon form av ineffektivitet så har vi undersökt möjligheten att utveckla ett mer effektivt verktyg.

Elasticitetsmodulen i en kalkstabiliserad vägterrass : en fältstudie

Stabilization of subgrade is an internationally common technique to improve the characteristics of a soft soil. Improving the stiffness and bearing capacity of the subgrade enables the pavement to be designed with reduced depths of subbase and basecourse aggregates. This makes the stabilization technique both economically and environmentally interesting. Both natural and stabilized soils have high inherent property variability that should be considered when the characteristic value is derived. By analyzing the spatial variability in stabilized and natural subgrades it is possible get the parameters needed for reliability?based modeling of soil properties.

Konstruktionstudie av en ångexpander

This thesis applies to a novel steam expander, one part of a steam engine system, a wobble plateengine. The piston in the expander moves axially with the outgoing rotating shaft and is locatedon a plate, why the engine type is called axial engine. When steam is applied to the plungers theplate wobbles creating a rotation on the shaft going thru the wobble plate. The steam expander issupposed to be used in exhaust gas recovery (bottoming cycle) applications and small scaleenergy production. The commissioner is Ranotor Utveckling AB.

Simulation driven design : An iterative approach for mechanical engineers with focus on static analysis

This thesis of 15 hp has been implemented at Halmstad University, in collaboration with Saab Dynamics in Linköping. Saab Dynamics is a company operating in the defence industry where competition is tough. This necessitates new ways to increase efficiency in the company, which is the basis for this thesis. Saab Dynamics wants to introduce simulation driven design. Since Saab Dynamics engineers have little experience of simulation, required a user methodology with clear guidelines.

However, after analyzing the criticism received by the BSC, it seems as if its internal focus, rigidity, static-ism and mechanical mindset limits the company?s ability to create a strategy that takes important external factors into account. Optisk undersökning av dieselsprayer från en höghastighetsroterande insprutare

There have been changes in Earth?s climate system on both global and regional scale since the pre-industrial era and some of these changes are due to human activities such as the combustion of fossil fuels. This calls for the development of engines with a higher efficiency and less harmful emissions. One interesting concept is the Homogeneous Charge Compression Ignition (HCCI) engine, which has the advantages of potentially low emissions combined with high efficiency. However, HCCI with diesel fuel requires a relatively long fuel/air mixing time to ensure a "homogenous" charge.

Mean value modelling of a poppet valve EGR-system

Because of new emission and on board diagnostics legislations, heavy truck manufacturers are facing new challenges when it comes to improving the engines and the control software. Accurate and real time executable engine models are essential in this work. One successful way of lowering the NOx emissions is to use Exhaust Gas Recirculation (EGR). The objective of this thesis is to create a mean value model for Scania's next generation EGR system consisting of a poppet valve and a two stage cooler. The model will be used to extend an existing mean value engine model.

Kinetisk Keramik

Do ceramics have to be static? This was the question that spurred me into this work, and what kept me working on to achieve the possibility of motion in my ceramic objects. By combining the knowledge gained through my former education as an avionics technician with my interest in the ancient ceramic craft, I strive to create kinetic ceramic handicraft suitable for interaction with an audience.By a series of different phases I slowly go from understanding what kind of motion I want my objects to have, to actually realizing this motion in three-dimensional objects. Through the use of simple models made from corrugated fiberboard followed by more advanced plaster models, combined with different complementary materials such as bicycle inner-tubing and recycled aluminium cans among many others, I, through a vast series of testing, slowly build up a knowledge base later applied to the ceramic objects.The result is for me a success; I have found a way for me to combine ceramics with mechanics. Through this I have created kinetic ceramic handicraft intended for interaction with an audience..

En precisionsstudie av förstärkt verklighet som positioneringsverktyg

This study investigates augmented reality using third person perspective and what precision can be achieved by using this method. There have been prior studies in regards to precision using augmented reality, however studies using third person perspective is scarce. This study presents a solution using a static camera capturing the user as well as the plane to augment from behind. This augmented image is then transferred to a handheld device that is held by the user. Using this method the user will be free to manipulate and work with the plane without removing the device that captures the scene, a common problem when using visual reference markers in augmented reality.

Informationsdesign i utställningen

Detta examensarbete omfattar ett förslag på utformning av en utställning med Interactive Institute som uppdragsgivare.Syftet med examensarbetet har varit att utforma en utställning till ett antal prototyper som utvecklats i projektet ?Static!?. Prototyperna visualiserar energi på olika sätt där tanken är att uppmärksamma användandet av energi. Vi har arbetat med att skapa ett utställningsförslag med god informationsdesign som ger medvetenhet om energianvändning hos målgruppen.Vi har undersökt hur man skapar uppmärksamhet hos besökare, hur man kan göra utställningen informativ utan att någon står och berättar om den samt hur man undviker att besökare vidrör prototyperna i utställningen. För att skaffa oss de kunskaper som behövts för att genomföra examensarbetet har vi gjort litteraturstudier, genomfört flera intervjuer, gjort en enkätundersökning samt gjort fältstudier.Examensarbetet har resulterat i ett idéförslag som visualiseras med hjälp av datorskisser.

Link QualityControl (LQC) i GPRS/EGPRS

This master thesis has been done at Enea Epact AB. The purpose of this thesis is to develop and implement a Link Quality Control algorithm for GPRS/EPGRS in the current testing tool. A Link Quality Control (LQC) shall take quality values from mobile stations and base stations and decide a codingsscheme that opimizes the throughput of data. The Advantage with LQC is that it adapts the used coding scheme to the channel quality. If the channel quality is too bad for the used coding scheme, a slower coding scheme with more redundancy should be selected.
