This report describes the construction work of a radar antenna for the radar systemCARABAS. CARABAS is a long wave airborne ground radar that has been developed bySAAB Microwave Systems and will now be mounted on a small helicopter, Schweizer 300.The antenna should be able to fold up and down. When the radar is in use the antenna islowered and under transport, start and landing the antenna is folded up. An emergency dropfunction should also be included in the design of CARABAS III.The extent of this report includes construction of the antenna, frame structure attached to thehelicopter, mechanism for folding the antenna up and down and mechanism for emergencydrop function. The mechanical design of the antenna and frame structure is based on modaland stress analysis, vibration measurement of Schweizer 300 and frequency analysis, andcalculations regarding aerodynamic drag and mechanics.The exciting frequencies of the helicopter and accelerations at those frequencies weredetermined by vibration measurement and frequency analysis.

När etablering eller övergripande förändringar ska göras är det viktigt med bra förarbete för att få bästa möjliga utgångspunkt när dörrarna ska slås upp i den nya butiken. Många nyöppnade butiker går idag i konkurs bara några månader efter att de etablerats. De flesta butiker som går i konkurs är främst enskilda firmor med få anställda. Det sker också ett generationsskifte på marknaden då alla 40-talister går i pension mellan 2005 ? 2015.

Abstract This essay is written to answer the questions of why, how and against who employees in the service sector use humour, charm and flirt in the interaction with their customers. The service management research is quite extensive, but despite this the research partly misses studies around why employees tend to act in certain ways while interacting with their customers. To understand the reasons of why they act in these particular ways, we need to know which factors that can be crucial when it comes to the employees? behaviour in these situations. By knowing the underlying reasons of using a special way to communicate with customers, it is much easier to achieve a clearer overview of the subject.

AbstractAim of the study: Aim of the study was to investigate whether there were any connections in time between different parts of care in patients with cardiac arrest and hypothermia treatment and cognitive and physical function six months after cardiac arrest and to investigate neurological outcome related to primary registered cardiac arrest rhythm after six months and if there were any changes in cognitive and physical functions as well as self-related health between discharge from hospital and six months after cardiac arrest.Method: The study included 39 patients admitted to three Swedish hospitals between 2008-2011. Cognitive and physical function was evaluated with Cerebral Performance Cathegory, CPC completed with Mini Mental State Examination, MMSE for cognitive function and Bartels Index, BI for physical function and Euroqol-VAS for evaluating the self-related health.Result:  A significant connection was shown between time to start hypothermia treatment and BI, patients with longer time showed improved physical function after six months.Majority of the participants (66,7 %) had Ventricular fibrillation/Ventricular tachycardia, VF /VT, as primary registered cardiac arrest rhythm and in this group CPC and BI was significant better compared with the asystole /Pulsless Electrical Aktivity, PEA group.CPC, MMSE, BI and Euroqol-VAS were all improved over time.Conclusion: Participants with VF /VT as primary registered cardias arrest rhythm had significant better cognitive and physical function 6 months after hypothermia-treated cardiac arrest compared with participants with asystole/PEA as primary registered rhythm. This shows the importance of access to defibrillators in public places in the society and in hospitals and optimal education of lay people and medical staff. Cognitive and physical function and self-rated health improves over time, which might be a very important reason to convey patients, relatives and medical staff to continue cognitive and physical rehabilitation. Keywords: Cardiac arrest, hypothermia, cognitive and physical function, wellbeeing.

Chemicals are everywhere in todays society, in humans, animals as well as nature, and they are difficult to avoid. The chemical industry is regarded to be the fastest growing industrial sector, accounting for ten percent of the global economy. A large amount of chemicals are used to produce hygiene products and cosmetics, products that in Sweden only are consumed in quantities of 110 tons per day. Researchers find it increasingly difficult to determine which chemicals that are dangerous and which that are safe, and how they might affect us in the long run. Correlations have been found between chemicals, diseases and other health effects such as cancer, allergies, reproductive and endocrine disorders.

BakgrundDenna studie behandlar pedagogers sätt att bemöta och skapa kontakt med barn, äldre än tre år, vid inskolning/överinskolning. Litteratur och forskning kring äldre barns start i förskolan är väldigt sparsamt förekommande vilket ökade vårt intresse allt eftersom mer information hittades. Vi utgår från Sterns teori om barns utveckling och de fem domäner som relaterar till barnets upplevelse av sig själv; samvaro, samspel, samförstånd, samtal och sammanhang.SyfteVårt syfte är att undersöka pedagogers tankar kring sitt sätt att samspela och knyta kontakt till barn mellan tre och sex år vid inskolning/överinskolning.MetodStudien utgår från en kvalitativ fenomenografisk ansats där verktyget self report använts för att undersöka respondenternas upplevelser kring ett fenomen. Tretton pedagoger deltog i studien.ResultatResultatet i studien visar vikten av engagerade pedagoger i samband med inskolning/ överinskolning av barn äldre än tre år och att hela arbetslaget behöver vara involverade. Vidare visar resultatet skillnader på hur man skolar in ett yngre och ett äldre barn.

To achieve a sustainable development, three aspects have to take equal place in the society; environmental, economical and social. To reduce the impact on the environment and the amount of greenhouse gases supplied to the atmosphere, industrialized countries and less developed countries must start cooperating. Also the use of renewable energy sources, like solar, hydro and wind power, have to increase.Wind power has great potential as a future energy supply. It is cost efficient, quickly developed and the resource is abundant and available worldwide.Examinations made in Sweden, indicates that there are difficulties establishing wind power at the same pace as the environmental goals, set by the Swedish government, requires. Mainly because people living nearby potential areas for wind power farms, appeal against the decision.This study aims to investigate differences between how people in Sweden and Brazil look at wind power as a future energy source and at the establishing process.

The thesis presented in this report has been made on behalf of Scania and their basic frame design department with the subject to solve an implementation of a weight sensing system in the chassis. The system is supposed to be implemented in the seat springs, and the reason for this is that all the force will have to go through the weight sensing transducers. With all the force going through the transducers the weight sensing system will not be sensitive for the differences in tolerances from manufacturing. The transducers could be pre-calibrated to avoid a calibration of the whole vehicle after it?s completed from the manufacturing line.Weight sensing systems is today a reality in trucks with air springs.

In the year of 2011, the new CEO of AB Volvo announced a major reorganization. This reorganization was a contributing factor to the Start-up of this thesis.Volvo Group Logistics Services (VGLS) is Volvo Group?s global logistics partner, which designs, manages and optimizes all of the group's incoming and outgoing logistics flows. With the reorganization, VGLS started a project regarding responsibilities around railway flows. Within the project a demand to collect logistics requirements occurred.

Malmö Högskola Vårterminen 2009 Lärarutbildningen Säl III:2 Sammanfattning Vikten av uppvärmning före fysiskt arbete Målet med mitt examensarbete var bland annat att göra en undersökning hur det rent praktisk fungerar på byggarbetsplatser med morgonuppvärmning före fysiskt arbete. Jag ville ta reda på om morgonuppvärmning är ett bra verktyg för byggfolket som kan bidra till att klarar ett längre arbetsliv i byggbranschen än tidigare. De kunskaper jag inhämtat under mitt arbete hoppas jag ska motivera byggeleverna att tillägna sig morgonuppvärmning i sitt arbetsliv i byggbranschen. För att nå mitt mål med undersökningen så gjorde jag sammanlagt sex stycken intervjuer på byggarbetsplatser, sedan hade jag även gruppsamtal med byggnadsarbetarna om morgonuppvärmning på deras arbetsplats. Jag gjorde också fyra telefonintervjuer med personer från olika byggföretag som delvis var insatt i ämnet morgonuppvärmning. Hämtade in information från skrifter och publikationer där man uttalar sig om hälsosamt levnadssätt i allmänhet samt rörelsesätt som gör kroppen gott.

Vid start av amning är det viktigt att modern känner att hon kan få stöd från anhöriga och från experter. Om amningen inte fungerar kan mamman få svårt att knyta an till sitt lilla barn och mamman kan börja tvivla på sitt moderskap. Barnavårdcentralsjuksköterskan (BVC-sköterskan) har en framträdande roll som amningsstödjare. BVC-sköterskan behöver därför ha mycket kunskap kring barnets behov och ha en förmåga att kunna samtala med föräldrarna. Det ligger på BVC-sköterskans ansvar att mötet med mamman blir vårdande.

Detta är ett examensarbete som är en del utav min utbildning, bygg och anläggning vid Luleå Tekniska Universitet. Jag gjorde mitt arbete hos Sandahls ÅVT, ett dotterbolag till Sandahls AB koncernen med inriktning på mark/asfalt området. Vid min första kontakt med företaget informerade platschefen, Thomas Pallin om deras vältar som används för markjusteringar och dess teknik som nyligen hade kommit till Sverige. Det kändes spännande och intressant att bara Sandahls i hela Sverige hade denna teknik i sina vältar på markdelen. I mitten utav augusti presenterades utrustningen under ett ?stormöte? som ägde rum i Enköping där alla entreprenörer i Sverige skulle delta.

The purpose of this study is to hightlight experiences of living in a relationship where BDSM is being exercised. The acronym is an umbrella term for bondage/discipline, dominance/submission and sadomasochism. The study is based on qualitative interviews with five persons who define themselves as BDSM practitioners. The overall questions of this study are: How does the BDSM practice appear in everyday life? How did the practice start and how has it developed over time? What's included in the sexual BDSM practice? The empirical material has been analyzed with interactionism as the theoritical framework. The picture that emerges is complex.

This report is the result of a thesis carried out at the Department of Innovation, Design and Technology (IDT), at Mälardalen University on behalf of ABB AB Machines.The year was 1988 when ASEA and Brown Boveri formed a joint venture under the name ABB (Asea Brown Boveri).We perform our thesis at the division Discrete Automation and Motion where they primarily develops, manufactures and sells synchronous and asynchronous AC motors and generators.The main purpose of this thesis was initially to write a general packaging instruction, but the priority changed to develop more specific packaging instructions for Rotors, Stator gables, Bearing support and Outer Cover (plates) instead.The work started off to deal with a problem about that the staff had to start its work to grind away rust on the stator gables due to those stored outdoors. The result was mainly an investment in a new gable rack so that the material can be stored inside, as well as a packing instruction as it was originally intended.The problem on the bearing supports were that the staff thought it was demanding and difficult to clean them from the rustproofing they were greased in. If it is not possible to remove all rust protection it can cause the paint to not attach properly. After having compared with similar articles a test were done to order a pair of bearing supports without corrosion inhibitor, which gave good results. This initiative also set in motion a process to do the same for more different items.For special pallet, a survey were made of the process with two different VSM and a calculation of how much ABB would earn at ordering more special pallets than getting the material delivered on the A-pallets.

Byggsektorn är en av de äldsta projektbaserade industrierna i vår tid. I byggprojekt skapas och delas en stor mängd information, ofta i form av bygghandlingar som är juridiskt bindande dokument vilka ligger till grund för utförandet av byggnadsverk. Det kan vara oklart vem som ska läsa vilka handlingar, vem som ansvarar för att handlingarna blir lästa, att handlingarna blivit förstådda, efterföljda och hur informationen vidarebefordras på arbetsplatsen. Det är många parametrar som spelar roll för att hanteringen av bygghandlingarna skall fungera bra, så som ansvarsfördelning, kommunikation etc. Målet med studien var att kartlägga och besvara frågan om hur STRABAG Sveriges hantering av bygghandlingar fungerar.
