The purpose of this thesis is to evaluate and update load curves for Fortum Distribution AB. Theload curve method is a tool used to forecast the strain of an electric grid. The method is based oncustomer annual energy consumption, outdoors temperature as well as customer category. Theload curve method was established by Svenska Elverksföreningen at the start of the nineties andfocus was put on standardizing annual energyconsumption, in order to make the method usableacross the nation. Present consumption patterns have changed since the original load curves wereproduced, which leads to a need to update the load curves.The work began with an update of present load curves according to recommendation taken fromanother earlier thesis.

The main purpose of this study was to determine the impact of bedding material on the faecal microflora of horses. Another objective was to investigate the hygienic and physical qualities of the bedding materials used and how these may change in the course of the trial period. The bedding materials used were sphagnum peat and wood shavings. Six horses had each material as bedding for a three week period in a change?over experiment.

This thesis considers the development of the software for an, newly developed, embedded real-time control system, based on a Periferal Interface Controller (PIC). The control system is developed to be used for several different applications. In this thesis work, software for two different applications are developed. The first task is a time controlled system, while the other task is implementation of aPI-/PID-controller. A user interface is also developed and implemented.The time controlled system is an automatic horse feeder, which is used for feeding horses at certain predefined points in time.

The purpose of this paper is to follow Swedbank project "cash smart" and have it as a basis when we examine if we are heading for a cash-free society and what obstacles and opportunities there is for a cash-free society.Method:We have used a qualitative method to conduct interviews with two individuals involved in the project "cash smart" at Swedbank in Gävle.

I samband med andra världskrigets start 1939, utvecklades kemiska ämnen för ogräs- och bekämpningsmedel. Numera påträffas de i de flesta floder, grundvatten och i majoriteten av alla mänskliga varelser. Detta har medfört att allt fler krav ställts på omgivningen. Miljöredovisningen föddes i slutet av 1960-talet och själva startskottet för miljöredovisning skedde i samband med Brundtlandrapporten 1987. Inom kaffebranschen har det länge stått stilla när det gäller arbets- och miljöfrågor. Det tog fart när stora aktörer på marknaden, däribland Löfbergs Lila, startade Common Code for the Coffee Community 2006.

E-handelskunder vill ha möjlighet att handla snabbt och direkt oavsett tidpunkt eller plats. Därför är integration mellan e-handel och affärssystem viktigt för en lyckad e-handelslösning. Detta känner de flesta företag till och idag är inte tekniken något större problem. Att företag trots detta inte integrerar systemen beror på verksamhetsbaserade orsaker. De stora kostnader som integrationen i initialskedet medför anges också som ett skäl till att systemen inte integreras, kunskap saknas om de långsiktiga vinster som integrationen ger.

För att förhindra eller kontrollera parodontit är det viktigt med en god och effektiv egenvård och då är speciellt approximal rengöring viktigt. En modell som beskriver olika förändringsstadier för hälsobeteenden är den transteoretiska modellen. Syftet med studien var att testa ett instrument för att fastställa olika förändringsstadier för approximal rengöring och att studera hur värdering av fördelar och nackdelar till att använda approximalt hjälpmedel samt självtillit är associerade med olika förändringsstadier. Etthundratretton individer (60 kvinnor och 53 män) med diagnosen moderat till grav parodontit som remitterats till specialistkliniken för parodontologi utgjorde urvalet. Studien var en beskrivande och jämförande studie med kvantitativ ansats.

During the 90?s, several reforms took place in order to change the educational system. The reforms intended to increase the freedom of choice and to facilitate the Start-up process for driving independent schools. A broad alliance of political parties from left to right supported these reforms. Twenty years later, the independent schools constitute a substantial part of schools in Sweden.

For centuries inbreeding has been used to refine traits in dogs, making desired traits more hereditary and thereby, different breeds have been invented. Breed standards have been written for each of these breeds, describing in detail the different characteristics of each breed. When humans start to choose which animal to breed from, so called artificial selection, taste is put before function and the laws of nature, the natural selection, cease to apply. During this development, pedigree dogs have gone towards more and more extreme exterior characteristics and the dogs may have inherited various, more or less, severe problems for example compromised vision, impaired ability to move and difficulties to breathe. However they can still survive and reproduce because humans provide them with the conditions to do so.

This is a study on the electronic reference work of some Swedish university and university college libraries. The purpose of the study has been to find out how the service works at the different libraries, to study the electronic reference interview and to find what is important when you start a new electronic reference service in the light of Brenda Dervin's sense-making theory study. Furthermore, we examine the aims of the electronic services offered and the differences between electronic and traditional reference interviews. In the background to the study we place electronic reference services in a context by describing the role of information technology and electronic mail in the libraries. The electronic reference interview is studied with the help of literature on the traditional reference interview.

Under de senaste två decennierna har flertalet tidningar bytt format. Det stora broadsheetformatet byts ut mot det mindre tabloidformatet. Ett steg många valt att ta då upplagesiffrorna under flera år dalat. Formatförändringen är tänkt att ge rum för ett nytänkande, ändra förutsättningarna för tidningsmakarna och förhoppningsvis locka nya läsare.I denna uppsats har Svenska Dagbladets och Dagens Nyheters inrikessidor studerats för att finna eventuella likheter eller skillnader av tabloidiseringens effekter för dessa två tidningar.Det som studerats är andelen redaktionellt material av totala satsytan i respektive tidning fyra dagar före och efter formatbytet. Även antalet nyheter på inrikessidorna under perioden har räknats.

This study includes a life cycle assessment, LCA, on an ecological produced cotton shirt for the company Reflective Circle, which designs ethical and ecological clothes.Initially were cotton farming and textile production studied to gather basic knowledge about the processes. Since this shirt is being ecological produced in the whole production chain, we studied what an ecological production means, but also how a conventional production works. When this was done we could start to discuss the differences and similarities between the production of the shirt and general conventional production.When the LCA was first initiated, the main focus was on the green house gas emissions from the manure at the cultivation. Thereafter the process steps such as picking, ginning, carding, spinning, weaving and sewing were being studied. The picking is done by hand, but the rest of the processes are handed by machines which consumes energy.

The lack of housing in the Swedish metropolitan areas is today a well-known fact. This isespecially true for the region in and around Stockholm. Due to the large amount ofmunicipality-owned land within Stockholm municipality the area for many new housingprojects are acquired through land allocation. How much time this process of land allocationconsumes for a typical project is today not really known. Equally unknown is the exactoutcome of the process, i.e.

Enligt bokföringslagen (1999:1078) är samtliga svenska företag skyldiga att föra bokföring. Vid start av ett företag är därför en av de första frågorna vem som ska sköta den löpande bokföringen. Valet står mellan att sköta bokföringen internt eller att vända sig till en bokföringsbyrå. Vi ämnar kartlägga hur små handelsbolag organiserar sin redovisningsfunktion och utreda motiven till bolagsägarnas val. Studien berör icke-revisionspliktiga handelsbolag inom Stockholms län.

I want to look at the possibilities to start selling hot water from a small district heating plant with bioenergy. My reason for doing this project is to look at a new business opportunity for our farm. Our company have less work during the winter time compared to the spring and this project will give us more work during the winter. I also want to take as much material as possible for heating from our farm in order to increase the value of the products from the farm. The project is in a village near us, where we should support a school, a churh, a home for the aged, a kindergarten and a parish hall with heat. In my work I have compared two different alternatives with each other. The first alternative is to put a central heater in one of the buildings, the home for the aged, in which we will burn oat.
