The public libraries in Sweden has an obligation to serve all of its citizens, but despite of this they often fail to include their LGBTQ-patrons. Since the year of 2008 RFSL (the Swedish Federation for Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual and Transgender Rights) have arranged a specially designed certification-process based on normcritical criterias that a chosen institution should fulfill to make their work more inclusive for LGBTQ-people. Sollentuna is the first municipal in Sweden to certificate all of their libraries. This study aims to examine what the certification have meant for the public library in Sollentuna and how a normcritical view can contribute to include LGBTQ-patrons at the library. As a method we used a qualitative interview-study to get a full picture of the certification-process and its influence on the public library of Sollentuna.

Consumers demand more transparency from businesses and want to know more about how they work with these issues. An important part of how internal communication can be used to reach organisational success involves organisation?s employees.

Compulsive gambling has lately become a more common and serious issue in our society. The number of compulsive gamblers is constantly increasing alongside the growth of the gambling industry and the consequences of compulsive gambling include both economical and social disasters. Every addiction has a start, and so does compulsive gambling, which is why we chose to perform a survey in order to determine the possible causes to why individuals are drawn to gambling and what leads them into compulsive gambling, and also during which circumstances do they find the strength and will to come out of their addiction to gambling. The theories that are used in this paper include globalization, socialization, Bauman´s consumption society and empowerment, alongside the six phases of gambling by Custer and Milts, describing the way in and the way out of compulsive gambling. This survey is one of the qualitative kind, which means that the chosen theories are connected to the ten interviews that were done with gamblers of various kinds.

Att vara nyexaminerad sjuksköterska är förenat med hög stressnivå och känsla av kunskapsbrist. Sjuksköterskor upplever även att den nya situationen är överväldigande och att bristen på stöd är påtaglig. Samtidigt har den nyexaminerade sjuksköterskan med sig en teoretisk grund att stå på, men saknar erfarenhet att handla efter i olika situationer. Detta kan komma att få konsekvenser för patientsäkerheten, om rätt stöd och vägledning inte finns. Stöd och vägledning kan komma att hjälpa nyexaminerade sjuksköterskor i början av yrkeslivet.

The scarcity of qualified forest machine operators as well as the increased competition for competent machine operators among others from the mining industry in Norrland, were the reasons to investigate what attracts and what deters active and potential forest machine operators to the occupation. An interview study was conducted among four groups with four persons in each group. The groups were students in year 1 and 3 respectively at a forestry school at upper secondary school level as well as employees of a forest company and employees of contractors. The majority of all respondents were of the opinion that their interests in machines had been important for the choice of occupation. But for the active machine operators both the interest in the forest and their interest for machines have had importance for choosing this occupation.

The physical inactivity and other diseases related to ways of living in Sweden, affects a big part of Swedes, simultaneously as the society is more defined and marked by health promoting and by views that affects many people to actively make a difference in their lives. Physical activity on prescription is such an example of health promoting, which enlarges the conditions for a healthy life. Physical activity on prescription is also about that the individual should take the decision by herself to increase her physical activity or to get motivated to start a healthy life style alternative reduce the risk of getting sicker. The purpose of our study was to illustrate what the participants of ?fysioteket? thought about the work of fysioteket and if the physical activity on prescription has affected their motivation towards physical activity and their experienced health.

Introduction: How to implement and integrate cultural aspects in strategy making and planning in order for cities and regions to reap both social and economic benefits has been widely discussed in recent years. This method of working with culture, both as an economic, as well as an identity strengthening tool has come to be labeled as cultural planning. But in order for these ideas about cultural projects and institutions to become a reality, something has to be done. This is where the entrepreneur enters.The Glass Factory, a newly opened cultural establishment in the heart of the Glass Kingdom in Småland, Sweden, became the subject of empirical investigation for this paper. As this originally was an initiative from Emmaboda municipality the planning and Start-up procedure could be viewed as a cultural planning process.

Background and problemThe Student union and Länsförsäkringar in Jönköping has an agreement that provides students at Jönköping university with subsidized insurances. The fact that none of the mentioned parties knows what the insurance market at Jönköping university actually looks like makes this an interesting field to study. This thesis will aim to provide the parties with a map of this insurance market and increased knowledge about how students think and behave regarding insurences.PurposeThe overall purpose of this thesis is to increase the knowlegde about students? buying behavior regarding insurences. We will also investigate if there are uninsured students at Jönköping university and quantify that amount.

En del länder väljer att investera och utveckla vindkraftmarknaden mycket, medan en del länder väljer att inte göra det. I Europa startade vindkraftutvecklingen under 1970-talet. Efter en trög start är den europeiska vindkraftutvecklingen nu marknadsledande och fortsätter att expandera i hög takt. Tyskland har den högsta installerade kapaciteten av vindkraft i världen, och Danmark har den högsta installerade kapaciteten per capita. Dessa länder, samt Spanien, Sverige och Storbritannien har alla satt nationella mål för utvecklingen av vindkraften.

Syftet med litteraturstudien var att undersöka hur sjuksköterskan kan använda empowerment i vård av unga. Det finns ett stöd i de vetenskapliga artiklar som granskats att använda sig utav empowerment i vård av ungdomar. Litteraturstudien visar att empowerment stärker ungdomar. Sjuksköterskan kan genom empowermentåtgärder understödja så att ungdomar får en bra start i livet. De empowermentåtgärder denna litteraturstudie resulterar i visar att sjuksköterskan genom undervisning direkt till ungdomar men också till vuxna i ungdomars omgivning, stödjer ungdomar i den förändring de går igenom, samt guidar dem till ett sunt hälsobeteende med hjälp av prevention.

This is a thesis based on a study about organizational socialization and concerns a company?s intentions as well as new employees? experiences during introduction. The study had four different purposes. First, it was to examine what Mölnlycke Health Care wished to achieve with its introduction as well as what they wished new employees should incorporate during introduction. Second, the purpose was to understand how new employees at the same company have perceived how the introduction has changed them.

Bakgrund: Arbetsbelastningen inom hälso-och sjukvården har ökat och efterfrågan på grundutbildade sjuksköterskor är större än antalet som utexamineras varje år. Den höga arbetsbelastningen bidrar till att nyutexaminerade sjuksköterskor inte får den hjälp och stöd de behöver. Var tionde sjuksköterska vill avsluta sin yrkesbana efter första året. Syfte: Syftet var att belysa nyutexaminerade sjuksköterskors upplevelser av att vara ny inom professionen. Metod: Examensarbetet är en litteraturöversikt som innehåller fjorton kvalitativa vetenskapliga artiklar.

Syfte och frågeställningarSyftet med studien var att undersöka om en individs tro och självtillit på sin egen förmåga att genomföra uppgifter (så kallad self-efficiacy) vid start av en träningsperiod påverkar kommande träningsfrekvens. Ett sekundärt syfte var att studera om deras intentioner av hur ofta de skulle vilja träna och den faktiska träningsfrekvensen påverkas av self-efficacy. Frågeställningarna var dels ? Påverkar self-efficacy träningsfrekvens?? och dels ?Påverkar self-efficacy förmågan att uppnå uppsatta intentioner av träningsfrekvens??.MetodEn kvantitativ metod har valts med enkäter. Urvalet gjordes till de individer som tecknat ett medlemskap på minst sex månader på en specifik träningsanläggning under en viss tid och som dessutom behärskade svenska i tal och skrift.

The objective of the essay was to identify the nursing care required by a dog suffering from heat stroke and how to educate and advice the owners how to start treating their dog and prevent the condition from occurring in the first place. The essay is based on a literature study. Several databases were searched for scientific research to try find answers to the issues. Keywords concerning the subject were used and mixed in different combinations to sort out the suitable studies. The results of the study indicate that the dog should be cooled by the owner directly after detection. The most crucial issue is to reduce the body temperature as quickly as possible or the morbidity will worsen.

The purpose of this study is to examin the depiction of culturalmeetings in history books in relatioon to the schoolguidelines, and how and why the description may have changed over time. To achieve this, a qualitative method was used to analyze the content of cultural meetings in Swedish schoolbooks after the World War II. The material used in the study was taken from eight editions of Alla tiders historia published between 1985-2011. The material was then put together and analyzed from the theoretical perspectives, which try to explain the factors that influenced the depiction of the texts.The results of this study shows, that over time, the school guidelines have incresed their focus on human value and the need for students to interact with people from other cultures. The depictions in the history books lives upp to the demands of the school guidelines, but this study shows that the main influence of the content of the book is the social context.
