This Master Thesis documents the development of an On Board Diagnosis (OBD-II) interface for remote diagnosis of vehicles. The Master Thesis is part of a project at the company Wayfinder Systems in Lund. The purpose of this thesis was to design a scantool that communicates with a vehicle through its OBD-II port using relevant standards. In order to make the OBD-II interface development easier, a car simulator was first built. Both the car simulator and the OBD-II interface were implemented using a linux computer running a C-program with serial communication with an external electrical interface.

In today?s society, it becomes more common with tablets, that makes us interact with computers in a whole new way. For example these are used to read and write e-mails, surf the web and playing games. Another manner of use of these tablets is to read and edit PDF documents. PDF handling is often meant to be used in books and inregular text documents, but it could also be used in the management of drawings.An industry that would benefit greatly from the use of tablets for this purpose is the con- struction industry.

ERP system is divided in several applications with a modular software design that allow people in every department in a company to store and retrieve information accurately and in real-time. This is accomplished through a comparison between the platforms and by considering the possible areas of use for the mobile platforms based on experiences from companies and research in the area.For a company with the intent to deliver services that use mobile platforms, it is important to be able to combine expertise and resources to effectively attract customers. The mobile platforms will, if applied right, give great possibilities in industrial applications as a cost-effective alternative for both hardware and software solutions for businesses, which provides an opportunity to sell services to both established and new clients.

Syftet med undersökning är att studera på vilket sätt tillämpningen av ISO 9001 påverkar kundnöjdheten samt om det innebär, eller om det krävs mer, för att erhålla nöjda samt lojala kunder.Denna studie är utav kvalitativ karaktär och består av intervjuer. Intervjuobjekten var servicemarknadschefer samt kunder hos sex bilverkstäder i Stockholms län. Studien utgörs av en deduktiv ansats.Studiens empiri består av intervjuer med servicemarknadschefen samt fem kunder på respektive verkstad.Slutsatser som kan härledas ur undersökningen är att för att nå hög kundnöjdhet samt erhålla lojala kunder, bör ISO 9001 ses som en standard, vilken kräver utveckling samt anpassning utifrån företagets egen verklighet. Utöver detta är personlighet i form av ett genuint engagemang för den individuella kunden av stor betydelse..

The processes in an IT-project requires technical competence to be present among the project participants to ensure the achievement of business goals and to make organisations competitive. The success of an IT-project largely depends on the project manager which makes it interesting to further investigate what impact the project manager?s technical competence has on the project. Previous research shows differing opinions whether technical competence is considered important for the project manager to be successful or not.

Förutom de ekonomiska strategimålen finns ett värde att identifiera sina ogripbara,tysta värden ? humankapital, kundrelationer, varumärken, inno-vationskapital och företagskultur.Utbudet av mjukvara för IT-stöd för balanserat styrkort är idag stort men vilka faktorer bör finnas med i ett IT-stött balanserat styrkort för att ge organisationer den helhetssyn och flexibilitet som krävs?Syfte:Att identifiera de faktorer som bör finnas med i ett användbart IT-stöd för balanserat styrkort efter de förutsättningar och önskemål som finns i vårdbolag.Metod:Utifrån systemsynsättets tankesätt att helheter alltid avviker från summan av dess delar har en explorativ fallstudie genomförts ge-nom att studera befintligt system och genom intervjuer med användare.Slutsats:De viktigaste funktionerna i ett IT-stöd för balanserat styrkort bör fokusera på att tydliggöra strategier och samband i organisationen, det bör innehålla verktyg för kommunikation, dokumentation av gemensamma synsätt och mål och mätningar och det bör stödja ut-veckling av styrkort. Micronic Laser Systems AB produces and develops machines for the photo mask production market. One of their products is the Omega machine which exposes photo masks using 5 laser beams simultaneously. It is important that the distance between the each laser beam, the x-separation, is the same. The x-separation is today measured by exposing a photo mask with a certain pattern and thereafter measured with a metrology system. This takes to much time and it is desired to find a faster method to measure the x-separation without loosing precision.The task for this master thesis is to improve an existing measurement method which uses a calibration mask.

The thesis objective was to study the partnership between the municipality of Gothenburg and three nonprofit organizations concerning the mobile EU-citizens. The study examines how the EU-enlargement affected Sweden and eventually the municipality of Gothenburg, and how Gothenburg responded to the new situation regarding the target group. The thesis contains one case study and the empirical data are based on semi structured interviews with politicians and officials from both the public- and the nonprofit sector. The results were screened with New Institutional Theory, Resource Dependence Theory and Decision Making Theory: Rule Following. The theories were used to locate any type of isomorphism, resource dependence and rule following in the partnership.

Rapporten är sammanställda studier av hur prefabricerade betongstommar av pelare och balkar montagestagas idag. Stommarna används främst till industri, offentliga samt kommersiella byggnader. Fokus är lagt på de två vanligaste balktyperna raka balkar med I-tvärsnitt samt sadelformade balkar med I-tvärsnitt.Vid montering av pelare- balksystem uppstår lastfall som man inte vill dimensionera elementen för. Stagning av konstruktionerna sker därför med hjälp av kolvning som kompletteras med wirekryss vid behov.  Resultatet har sammanställts i en enhetlig standard gällande utformning och dimensionering av montagestagning för prefabricerade betongstommar av pelare och balkar. Nyckelord: Montagestagning, Prefabricerade system, Raka och sadelformade balkar, kolvning, wirekryss.

I takt med att fler och fler informationskanaler flyttas från traditionella, människa-till-människa interaktioner till digitala kanaler ändras också de erfarenheter, färdigheter, kompetenser och tekniska utrustningar som krävs för att ta del av, och deltaga i, informationsflöden. Detta skapar grupper i samhället i form av de som har dessa erfarenhter, färdigheter, kompetenser och utrustningar, och de som inte har något av dessa, detta kallas för den digitala klyftan. Som visas i den här uppsatsen kan den digitala klyftan bestå av en eller flera mindre klyftor. En av den största gruppen människor som står på fel sida av klyftorna är äldre. Det finns olika sätt, metoder och teorier som har postulerats för hur den digitala klyftan kan överbryggas, i den här uppsatsen undersöks hur två olika standarder (WCAG 2.0 och E-delegationens riktlinjer) för tillgängliga webbplatser, och en standard med kompetenser för webbanvändning (The Web Literacy Standard, från The Mozilla Foundation) förhåller sig till gruppen äldre människor.

In today?s society computers are getting a much more important role. To get a computer to work as intended it has to be programmed. A computer program is written with programming languages. There is an abundance of programming languages available today and there are many differences and similarities between them.

This report describes the construction of a climate-cabinet for testing of HV-cards (High Voltage) produced at VG Scienta. The main part of the report describes all the different components of the cabinet. The most important parts are a PID regulator from Eurotherm model 2408, a solid state contactor (SSC), a thermocouple, a finned resistor from DBK and different fans. The report even includes the connection between components by cable wiring, isolation, grounding, fuses and shaping of metal goods.As the cabinet also communicates with a computer, the report includes the solution of the data communication using the software iTools from Eurotherm. The communication part includes information about a converter that converts EIA422 to USB.The cabinet was produced at a company, called VG Scienta, in Uppsala during the spring 2010.
