Varumärken i idrottsgymnasiers marknadsföring - Vilka passar din idrott bäst?

The upper secondary school 2011 (Gy 2011) was a reform which created large changes in the Swedish educational system. One of the major changes was the requirement of certification for sport schools. Schools in Sweden have historically used sports in their marketing, this opportunity was impaired by the reform. This thesis aims to investigate how brands are applied on webpages of sport schools that are certified in football and/or cross-country skiing. Content analysis was used as method of data collection.

 There is an ongoing reorganization within media industries today as they adapt to new and changing demands - the environment is changing fast and the organizations with it. The development of new technology is contributing to new forms of media distribution in the present media industry. The structure of media organizations is getting flatter and the co-workers are getting a new and bigger role. All this is bringing new challenges for the leaders of the organization. Caught in the middle of these new structures is the middle manager who now is facing different demands from all sides.

Idrottsprofilerad utbildning i gymnasieskolan : Lag- och individuella idrottares syn på idrott och utbildning i förhållande till social position och idrottshabitus

The purpose of the study is to illustrate the choices of sports profiled education amongst pupils in the upper secondary school. Special attention is brought to whether there exist any differences between team- and individual competitors in their view on sport and education. One hypothesis that constitutes the base of the study is that pupils from lower social class, in a higher extent, tend to be team competitors and choose sport activities prior education. The result has been interpreted against Bourdieu's cultural sociology, in which the central concepts are habitus and cultural- and economic capital. The method that has been used is quantitative in the form of a questionnaire study which 277 pupils have answered.                   The result shows that the sportsmen, regardless type of sport, are not influenced by social position regarding choice of education and in their view on education and studies.

Resetrender inom sport- och träningsturism

Syftet med uppsatsen är att beskriva trender inom sport- och träningsturism, samt att undersöka nya potentiella segment för researrangörer som i sin tur kan leda till nya erbjudanden som researrangörerna kan utveckla. Vi har för att studera det aktuella ämnet utgått från ett teoretiskt problem och sedan bearbetat det med hjälp av en teoretisk referensram.Studien bygger på en kvantitativ innehållsanalys samt kvalitativa intervjuer. För att få en ökad förståelse inom området har vi studerat 30 stycken olika sport- och träningsresor från fem olika researrangörer. Samt intervjuat tre personer som är insatta i området.Vi har funnit att promenader, vandringar och Power Walks är något som är väldigt efterfrågat på sport- och träningsresor, det är också något som många tycker att sport- och träningsresor bör innehålla. Funktionell träning kommer alltmer hamna i centrum i framtiden, fokus kommer också ligga på individuell och personlig utveckling.

Avfall på byggarbetsplatsen : statistik som hjälper platschefen

The purpose of this report is to find a model of statistics for construction and demolition waste, which makes it useful for the local manager at the building site. The intention with the model is that it will be used as a support of the local manager, to direct his project towards reduced strain of the environment. The model will also be used to make it easier to control that the claims from authority and aims for the environment are achieved. To familiarise with the subject waste handling within the building and construction sectorI have done a literature search. I have also been studying rules and regulations regarding the waste handling.

Language Manager Version 2.0

This report describes an examination project made for the IT consultingcompany Sogeti. The purpose of the project was to develop and modify the translation tool Language Manager (LM) built by Sogeti to be used for translating applications. Employees at Sogeti considered some disadvantages with Language Manager, version 1.0 which among others was that language files for projects were saved at two locations. Partly in resource maps among with the source code of the applications and partly in a database. This was dual work for employees at Sogeti and it also caused redundancy inthe system.

Gruesome Gaming: En studie i marknadsföring på sociala medier

Vi har valt att titta på hur E-sportmarknaden använder sig av sociala medier för att sprida sig ut bland medierna och nå befintliga och framtida användare. E-sport är ett begrepp som innefattar all typ av elektronisk sport. Dota2 och Starcraft 2 är två exempel på spel där E-sport är ett vinnande koncept. Vi har valt att skapa föreningen, Gruesome Gaming som ligger till grund för uppgiften för att kunna ta reda på hur de sociala medierna fungerar i marknadsföringssyfte. Människors beteende på Internet samt hur människor hanterar marknadsföring på Internet kommer upplysas närmare i arbetets resultatkapitel.

Interim Management ? The way to capture a manager´s true value

The thesis has two aims to first describe the phenomena by explaining how interim management works and what the charachteristics of an interim manger are. The second aim is to look at the value issue of interim management; What value does an interim manager provide to a company and how do interim managers try to capture and cultivate this?The qualitative method has been used. The interim management market analysed in this thesis can be stated to consist of three parts; the interim manager as a provider of knowledge, a client firm in need of a temporary manager, and an interim agency in between working as an intermediary/supplier. The characteristics of interim managers are; they are in general self-employers and rather generalists than specialists, meaning they are experienced and have great knowledge skills.

Levande Skogsbruk : om problem i ett naturvårdsärende

In this study, some aspects of communication that are creating problems in a chosen forest conservation case are explored. Focus is on how the manager of a forest experience how he is treated during a formal decision of conservation. The paper also gives introduction to communication theory as well as to present forest policies in Sweden. Explanations of the most common concepts and terms in forest conservation is presented and such a understanding is necessary if the reader is to acquire enlightment from the material and the following discussion. This paper focus on a conflict between the county administrative board, a Swedish regional authority, and a private forest-manager. This is a case where the manager feels that the authority is forcing a sale of land, because the forest is being turned into a conservation area. The problems are not just economical, the manager feels mistreated and left out of the discussion, and the negotiation is long and problematic as shown in the interview and the case study. In the study, an in-depth interview is made with the manager of the forest, and a case study has been made based on the documents in the case attained from the county administrative board.

Tacklingar, svett och rullskridskor - om den feministiska potentialen i sex kvinnors upplevelser av sitt utövande av roller derby

In this thesis the fullcontact sport roller derby is examined and it´s potential to work as a feminist strategy. Through interviews with six women who are active in the Gothenburgbased team Gothenburg Roller Derby the performative aspect of the sport is examined. Focus in the study is toinvestigate how, according to the informants, roller derby can challenge conventional norms about sex and gender. The result of the study shows how the informants through their participation in roller derby are able to perform a different type of femininity and in this process also are empowered as women. The study also shows how the women-only-aspect of the sport is of greatimportance in their experience of roller derby..

The Scientific Coach - Idrottsforskning i tränares vardag

Previous research has established coaches' important role in developing elite athletes (Durand, Bush, Thomson & Salmela 1996). Athlete enhancement and assisting athletes achieve ?peak performance? has been a major objective for elite coaches as well as sports scientists (Williams & Kendall, 2007) Despite this common goal, research also question whether sports scientists and the research they pursue really effects coaches knowledge and constitute a foundation for today and tomorrows athletic performances (Bishop 2008).  This study examined elite coaches? needs and use of sport science research as well as the interaction between elite coaches and sport scientists. Following interviews of ten elite coaches, content analysis revealed that sport science is both a formal and informal resource of knowledge for coaches. Development of athletes is seen as the main objective of research retrieval and personal and/or direct contact with the sport scientist is considered to be the best way to assemble.

Den svenska e-sportscenen

Den svenska e-sportscenen har på kort tid gått från en klubb för intern beundran till en massrörelse som visas på bästa sändningstid i flera TV-kanaler. Samtidigt finns det få som gått på djupet med svensk e-sport och dess utövare. Nästan allt som skrivs i media är personporträtt av engagerade personer, rubriker om miljonvinster och referat av spelade matcher. Vi har valt att försöka ta oss bakom kulisserna och se hur e-sporten i Sverige är uppbyggd.I en serie samtalsintervjuer med nyckelpersoner, storstjärnor och spelare på väg upp har vi undersökt vilka de svenska proffsspelarna är, vad de har för förutsättningar i dag och hur de ser på sin framtid.Vi har mött en ung och oorganiserad bransch som själva ser stor potential att växa, men samtidigt efterlyser mer struktur. Mycket av den infrastruktur som traditionell sport har saknas helt eller delvis i e-sport, och det är ett stort och spretigt fält där varje spel har sina egna spelare och sina egna förutsättningar.Arbetet har utmynnat i radiodokumentären Den svenska e-sportscenen där ett tiotal personer får ge sin bild av svensk e-sport..

Chefskontrakt : ger det en tydligare anställningsform för chefer i Landstinget Västmanland?

The purpose of this work is to find out how present manager contracts are set up in Landstinget Västmanland (the county council of Västmanland), explore managers? perception of these contracts and why managers have chosen leadership. The work has also reviewed the question if managers need to have a relationship or expertise to the activities they lead and which qualifications are needed in such case. The survey was conducted in two divisions in which nine interviews were held with managers at all levels. In addition to this a questionnaire including the 87 managers in the divisions were held.
