The purpose of this examination was to se how exercise affects the learning capacity. In this work I have chosen to integrate natural science with sport and the target group was a primary department. The two areas I integrate with sports were: the digestive system and knowledge of deciduous trees. I split the class in two different groups. One group got to have a theoretical lesson and the other one got to have an exercise lesson.

During my education I have frequently noticed that pupils do not like science or find it hard and dull. The purpose with this investigation is to find out how pupils experience their science education and if they can understand the arguments for studying the subject at school.I have made a questionnaire study among pupils in grade 8 and 9. After analyzing their answers I have interviewed some of the pupils to get answers on further questions.The investigation resulted in conclusion that pupils have hard to connect their science-education to their everyday lives. The most important element in forming the pupil?s opinions about science is their relation to the teacher and how the lessons are set-up.The following questions will be answered in this paper:Do pupils understand why they have science at school?Can the pupils see the use of scientific knowledge in their everyday life?How do pupils look upon their science education?.

Floorball is currently the second largest sport in Sweden, yet there is a low ethnic diversity. This study aims to describe, explain and understand how the leaders in Swedish floorball perceive the work with ethnic diversity from the Swedish Floorball Federation and within the associations they seem. The questions of the study are: How do leaders perceive that the Swedish Floorball Federation works to promote ethical diversity in the within the federation? How do the leaders describe their own efforts to promote ethnic diversity within their team / association? How do the leaders perceive their role in increasing ethnic diversity? How do the leaders perceive the sport as an integration arena? The study was based on a qualitative method with semi-structured interviews. The respondents were eight leaders from four different associations, two leaders from each association.

Detta projekt är resultatet av ett examensarbete från en Civilingenjör i Teknisk Design med inriktningen Produktutveckling vid Luleå Tekniska Universitet. Projektet har utförts i samarbete med Nordic Sport AB och handlar om att utveckla nya vagnar för kastgrenarna inom friidrotten; spjut, kula, diskus och slägga.De tänkta kundernas behov av funktion och estetiska krav undersöktes genom informationsinsamlig i form av marknadsundersökningar, konkurrentanalyser, enkäter och intervjuer med företaget. Med hjälp av den insamlade informationen sammanställdes en kravspecifikation som stöd under projektets gång.Genom ett systematiskt arbete med problemlösningsmetoder som bland annat brainstorming och en workshop så togs en stor mängd dellösningar fram som kunde uppfylla de krav och önskemål som ställdes på de nya vagnarna. Utifrån dessa dellösningar konstruerades en helhetslösning utifrån viktningar som sedan låg till grund för konceptgenereringen.Designen på vagnarna togs fram genom diskussioner med Nordic Sport och en 3D-modell skapades, denna modell utvecklades sedan vidare i samspråk med Nordic Sport för att få fram ett slutgiltigt koncept.Resultatet blev en materialvagn, uppbyggt i ett modulsystem, som med små förändringar passar till alla fyra materialen som ska transporteras. Färgen och formen följer Nordic Sports nuvarande sortiment och deras varumärke nordicsport.com.Då vagnen har ett mycket modernare utseende och stora förbättringar kring användbarhet och ergonomi jämte konkurrenterna så kan Nordic Sport behålla sitt anseende som leverantör av kvalitetsprodukter och ta ännu fler marknadsandelar..

This essay describes the philosophy of science that Thomas Kuhn puts forth in his work The Structure of Scientific Revolutions. När man som TV-tittare ser på sportprogram, kan man lätt förledas att tro att ?alla människor? tycker sport är viktigt, men så är det naturligtvis inte. Man kan dock anta att framställningar av medierad TV-sporten som fenomen, finns i de flesta människors föreställningsvärld. Utgångspunkten för den här uppsatsen är att placera in TV-sport i ett större sammanhang, där TV-sport kan ingå som en del av det som människor tar del av och som i viss mån inverkar på hur individer formar och skapar sin identitet. Den här uppsatsen handlar om hur kön (re-) presenteras genom TV-sport och hur detta kan ingå i vad som konstruerar en könsidentitet för en yngre generation av den kvinnliga TV-publiken.

Total amount of words: 15 269.In this essay, the purpose is to examine the personalization of Swedish national coaches during international championships in the Swedish tabloids. Research shows that a leader nowadays is representative for her organization. Therefore it could be assumed that the way the national coach is portrayed can have some kind of effect on the public opinion about the team as a unit and their sport federation in total. This essay is a quantitative study of the sport tabloids Sportbladet och SPORT-Expressen during three international championships: Euro 2012 in football, WC 2013 in ice hockey and Euro 2014 in handball. We have studied the coverage of the national coaches Erik Hamrén, Pär Mårts and Ola Lindgren/Staffan Olsson in contrast to the coverage of their teams in total.The main results are that the national coaches are mentioned in every second article that is written about the national teams during the championships. They are mainly portrayed in a neutral way, even though the coverage of them is affected by the results in the matches.

The primary aim of this essay is to analyse, contextualise and problematise the scientific and technological goals of android science. The starting point of this investigation is the history of automata and man?s attempts to recreate himself by technological means. Drawing on the no-tion of boundary work this essay also analyses the efforts of the proponents of android science to establish and demarcate a new interdisciplinary field. A secondary aim of the essay is to evaluate the scientific support for the uncanny valley hypothesis and to investigate how this hypothesis contributes to android science.

Doping and manipulation of medical preparations in order to maximise performance is one of modern sport?s major problems, according to Blom and Lindroth (1995).I thought it would be interesting to see what the next generation of athletes thinks of doping.

In the society there is different kind of people that belongs to different groups. The different groups that people belong to are depending on where you live, grow up, ethnic group, level of education and which economic standard you have. The subject of our composition is about children and teenager growth environment and about what society they belong to and how it affects their possibility to exercise. Our composition is built from the question: Are there any differences connected to exercise in an association compared to spontaneous exercise based on economic standard and what district of the city you live? To be able to find an answer to our question we have chosen to concentrate on three districts in the city of Helsingborg.

I uppsatsen koncentrerar jag mig på kravallerna i matchen mellan Hammarby och Djurgården, som spelades på Söderstadion, den 28 augusti 2006. Syftet med den valda avgränsningen är att utföra en mer fördjupad studie om pressens bemötande av fotbollsrelaterat våld. The aim of this study was to investigate how preschool teachers think about preschoolscience, what they consider science to be and how they deal with specific curricular objectivesrelated to science.Science is a part of our everyday life, it is a prerequisite for understanding everydayphenomena and how the world is working. Nevertheless it is often dropped in favour of othersubjects in Swedish preschools.The eight preschool teachers participating in this study are all working in the samemunicipality in the western part of Sweden with children aged 1- 5 years. The method used inthis study was interviews. The interviews were recorded to facilitate the transcriptions.The results show that preschool teachers find that science is an important subject that shouldbe introduced to the children early on in life. They also show that preschool teachers considerscience to have a preventive effect on the learning to the children, and it is needed for them tounderstand everyday processes and phenomena.

AbstractPurpose/Aim: The aim of this essay is to paint a picture of science news reporting in the Swedish Public Service science programme, vetenskaps-radion. Key issues to be adressed are: What areas in science are prioritised? How much of the total broadcast time are devoted to each area? Are there any differences in reporting between weeks? How well does the swedish science radio match common interets? Are the news in the form of short ?soundbites? or are they more lengthy in-depth?Material/Method: Quantitative analysis of radio programmes. The variables used are based on the different major areas in natural sciences.Main results: This study shows that most broadcast time is devoted to news regarding biology and medicine and that the news rather are in the form of short snippets of news than more lengty in-depth stories. This is put in light of how journalistes tend to present news and that the subjects involved has to relate to peoples everyday lives.

Denna litteraturstudie behandlar användandet av sport som medel för att bekämpa ungdomsbrottsligheten. Fyra centrala frågeställningar eller teman diskuteras. Studien försöker (1) ta reda på om det verkligen är brottsförebyggande för ungdomar att sporta och (2) ge exempel på hur det i så fall kan verka preventivt att utöva idrotterna. Därutöver strävar studien efter att (3) identifiera sportens möjliga roll i brottspreventionen, i samhällets generella prevention men även rollen för enskilda ungdomsgrupper. Till sist undersöks (4) om det går att hitta några sporttyper som är särskilt intressanta ur brottspreventionens synvinkel eftersom begreppet sport innehåller många olikartade grenar.
