Syftet med denna uppsats är att jämföra tre olika svenska kommuners hantering av extern handel i den fysiska planeringen med fokus på eventuella intressekonflikter mellan kommunens fysiska planerare, kommunens näringslivskontor och beslutsfattande politiker. Kommunerna som granskas i uppsatsen är Ronneby, Kalmar och Alingsås kommun. Uppsatsen ska belysa problematiken med extern handeln och bidra till medvetenhet om marknadskrafternas roll i den fysiska planeringen. Syftet uppnås genom en kvalitativ metod där kommunala dokument har granskats och intervjuer ägt rum med politiker, fysiska planerare och näringslivsrepresentanter från varje kommun. Externhandel har under de senaste decennierna ökat över hela landet och detaljhandeln i externa lägen har varit extremt framgångsrik under den senaste tioårsperioden.

This report is about how accessibility in Eskilstuna's central trade street Kungsgatan can be improved, based on my background as spatial configuration designer, and by Eskilstuna's residents' opinions. In this report I explain what methods I have used, and how I attained my results. The goal of this project was to create ideal accessibility in the central part of Kungsgatan in Eskilstuna. Since Fristadstorget was rebuilt, and since the city is growing in terms of housing and residents, accessibility will in the near future be even more limited for visitors than it is today. Competition in the market of interior design during the last several years has drastically increased. The consumers of today are very conscious about what the market can offer and therefore they have high demands on the products. It is not only the function of the product that matters but also the design that makes a difference. Companies are becoming more aware of this and as a result they have to find a way to set themselves apart in order to attract customers. This realization has led designers and economists to cooperate in a different way than before.

Mind the gap encourages you to beware of the interspaces. The project seeks to defend the gaps that occur in time and space and encourages the reader to care about the interruptions of the routine-like and planned, whilst also opening up a discussion about interaction and participation. Mind the gap is a project about the many opportunities the public space has in the contemporary city. What you have in front of you is the result of this project. As society constantly changes, new and different needs arise in the city and it is necessary that architects and planners understand and adapt to these changes. They have to be able to develop new ways of thinking and to challenge established perceptions of what the public space is and should be. This means being able to see that the public space could be different and to recognize the potentials for it to change. This project examines the underlying ideals of urbanism and investigates the potentials of the City when shaped by these ideals.

Examensarbetet Skärva - historiska spår och framtida möjligheter, inleds med en diskussion om vad ett hållbart stadsbyggande är och vad det kan innebära för landskapet som ligger strax utanför staden. Skärva är en sådan plats som ligger nära både Karlskrona och Nättraby. Det går att se en trend i att många flyttar utanför staden och bygger hus. I Karlskrona finns det i dagsläget områden som Verkö, Bastasjö, Skillingenäs och Skärva by där det byggs nytt. Människor vill ha närheten till naturen, men ändå jobbar få av dem som bor på landsbygden med traditionellt jordbruk.

We?re all aware that technology progresses forward with giant leaps on a daily basis. In one-way or another this affects us in our everyday life. It can affect us in the way we?re shopping, communicating, researching, planning future events or how we choose to be entertained. That the web is an increasingly stronger tool for communicating in more or less every type of business is becoming more evident for people.

Medborgardeltagande är enligt lag en del i processen när en detaljplan tas fram. Syftet är att medborgarnas åsikter ska vägas in vid beslutsfattandet och på så vis bidra till mer demokratiska beslut. Men medborgarna är inte de enda som gör anspråk på att påverka besluten. Andra aktörer, så som exploatörer eller andra företag, försöker anpassa planen till sin fördel. Alla dessa parter samt andra faktorer ska i slutänden vägas in i det politiska beslutet.

This thesis studies whether private equity owned firms within the Swedish welfare sector distinguish themselves in terms of tax planning and short-termism from a control group consisting of other privately owned welfare firms. For the first time, the comparison is made on the entire welfare sector, between 14 matched pairs within education, health care and elderly care. We use financial metrics associated with tax planning and short-termism in sign tests to examine whether the private equity owned firms differ from our control group. The financial metrics tested are actual and paid tax rates, level of interest, book-tax gap, investments, personnel expenses per employee, and cash earnings. We find that the private equity owned firms in terms of tax planning only differ in the level of interest, while no notable differences are found in terms of short-termism..

The reason why this essay is written can be parted in two, whereas one would be the global trend of urbanization that occurs to this moment and forward, whereas the other would be the debate of how motorism has come to be an issue of sustainable management of our cities and our environment. In purpose to deliver a thorough understanding of how the car and its capacity has come to shape the society of today, and to emphasize the problems it´s brought, a historical survey has been made, followed by the report of problems to the society formed by the needs of the car, discussed in several environmental issues, such as jamming, noise and air pollution. This is followed by the discussion of potential solutions for how city planning could return to the focus of the human scale and perspective, in purpose to correspond with the issue of ways to decrease the car use in towns. In conclusion, the given solutions are discussed, where examples like shared space, investment in public transport, mobility management and the theory of the assembled city are included, with aid from literature, to finally conclude the essay with personal thoughts of how the planning of today, or the given solutions, really are the result of sustainability for city planning from a human perspective.

Malmö Kommunala Bostadsbolag Fastighets AB owns and administrates Örtagården housing estate in Rosengård which is a characteristic million programme housing area. Örtagården is densely populated which naturally creates an environment that is exposed to wear and tear. The area is today undergoing a change where new proposals and strategies are to be designed for further development of the inner yards. MKB also wishes to develop the park area which is centrally situated in Örtagården. The purpose of this study was to make an analysis of the development of Örtagårdsparken from when it was planned and constructed up until the state it is in today.

This essay is about the origin, planning and establishment of the European Space Research Organisation's (ESRO) sounding rocket base Esrange outside Kiruna in Northern Sweden. Three main questions are examined. First I show there were not just scientific and technical but also political, economical as well as military reasons to build a European rocket base. Second, I scrutinize the reasons to choose Northern Sweden as the location for the rocket base. As it turns out, the main reasons were the favourable location of Northern Sweden within the aurora oval zone, the proximity of the Kiruna Geophysical Observatory, and the possibility to use a large, although not quite uninhabited, area where the launched rockets could crash.

Denna studie ämnade att undersöka förhållandet mellan termen succession planning och idrottsvärlden genom att ta reda på vilka målsättningar och strategier som svenska elitfotbollsföreningar har. Tre föreningar tillhörande det högsta seriesystemet inom svensk elitfotboll har medverkat i denna studie. Metoden för att utföra denna uppsats var fallstudiemetoden. Varje förening benämns som ett enskilt fall, där av berörs och jämförs tre olika fall i denna uppsats. Uppsatsens fokus ligger i utvalda föreningarnas ungdomsakademier, mer specifikt elitförberedande verksamhet för pojkar 15-19 år. Empirin har samlats in genom intervjuer med uppgiftslämnare från föreningarna medverkande i studien.

The craft of planners are planning for a better future. Knowledge about climate change, environment, health and availability effects the trend towards less car dependent societies in favour of public transport and active transport like walking and biking. This study takes place in Västerbotten, one of Sweden?s most north provinces with a population of 260 000 inhabitants. It is a sparsely populated area with two dominant cities, the other municipalities are largely unpopulated.

The aim with this study was to collect fundamental information, and to plan, a windpower farm in Juddhult , Småland in southern Sweden. The goal is to collect the bestavailable projecting planning support. The pieces of this projecting planning supportthat will be presented is; Environmental Consequence Description (MKB), productioncalculations, comparisons between different plant types, economic calculations, evaluatethe economy and give some farm design suggestions. The imagined wind farm will belocated in forest environment and which may cause a number of new problems. Specialinterest that will be affected, where special consideration because of the forestenvironmental is requested is, hunting, wetlands, ancient monuments and windturbulence.

The project is about making a Re-Design of the Swedish Socialistic Newspaper ?Dagens ETC?. The background to the project is my search for commitment when I work with a specific customer or project and how importantthat commitment are?The project was from the beginning split up to three different phases. The meaning of the first phase where to make a re-design mainly based on a interview with Johan Ehernberg, the chef editor on ETC.The second phase was a design totally made of my own idea and creative view as a Graphic Designer.I had in mind to make the third phase based on the result of the first two phases.During phase one and two I reconsidered and decided to skip the third step and put more effort in to the two first ones.
