Reinforcement is of great importance to fulfill the dimensioned strength of a concrete construction. This requires that the work needs to be carried out with adequate results that neither endangers the workers or the safety of the construction. Progressive development of the planning phase, construction documents, and construction methods is in constant need since the technology constantly evolves.In order for contractors to be able to get acceptances from their quotations requires that they have to increase their working pace in order to be able to leave a quotation with a lower price than the competition.Due to the increasing pace the different parts involved in the construction process is subjected to time pressure. The design stage, construction documents, work preparation and the execution are all affected when everything has to be finished quickly. To avoid problems, it is required that all parts are able to deliver good quality solutions and results under the influences of time pressure, which is not always easy.

The Swedish regions are new phenomena, from the start from the new regionalism which started in the 1980´s. The purpose of the thesis is to analyze Region Skåne and Västra Götalandsregionen to come to a conclusion which model of region they are and want to be by using theories of regional identity and identity of politics and see similarities and differences. My research question is: Which of cultural, administrative and functional region are Region Skåne and Västra Götaland striving to construct?   The methods I have used are qualitative text- and content analysis to analyze the regions, by using theories about regional identity and identity of politics. Furthermore, I am using some statistic from SOM-institutet to analyze the regional identity in the regions.   The result show that Region Skåne is constructing a cultural region, because of their strong regional identity and that the politicians are using identity of politics to combine the citizens.

Safety in the construction industry has become a question of top priority in recent years. Despite a massive investment of time, money and knowledge, the occur-rence of fatal accidents in Sweden alone is around one a month.The purpose of this study is therefore to improve the safety on the construction site. By an examination of the role of the safety agents and their cooperation with the construction workers and supervisors as well as examine how safety agents can improve safety on the construction site, which is the goal of the study.Four questions were formulated based on the purpose and the goal of the study.The methods used to answer the questions were a questionnaire survey, multiple interviews, a literature review and a document analysis.The report describes the safety agent?s role as a complex one with many different tasks. The role of the safety agents is regulated in the health and safety law, but it can sometimes be difficult to interpret and the agents can therefore interpret their role differently.

Denna uppsats är en beskrivning och undersökning på vad utemiljön har för betydelse för oss som individer och hur den påverkar oss. Uppsatsen kommer först att gå igenom en litteraturgenomgång, sedan görs en analys av två bostadsområden i Kristianstad och därefter presenteras en intervjuundersökning som har gjorts på respektive bostadsområde. Utefter de slutgiltiga resultaten kommer uppsatsen att avslutas med en diskussion och slutsats. Enligt bl.a. Karla Werner (Olsson m.fl. 1998), Kevin Lynch (1977) och Patrik Grahn (Olsson m.fl.) föredrar människan platser där denne känner sig hemma och kan skapa sig en egen identitet.

Idag är hemmet mycket mer än bara en plats att bo på. Det är också en plats där vi kan visa upp vilka vi är eller vill vara. Där kan vi skapa det som för oss upplevs som individuellt. Det finns en rad tv-program och tidningar som understryker detta. Bostadens olika attribut kan även en skapa samhörighet mellan likasinnade.

I nuläget minskar befolkningen i en stor del av landets mindre kommuner, vilket har inneburit en ökad konkurrens mellan kommunerna när det gäller att attrahera nya invånare (Arena för Tillväxt 2006). I jakten på nya invånare har det under de senaste åren begreppet attraktivitet blivit populärt i marknadsföringen av den egna kommunen. Ofta blir det att man med attraktivhet menar vattennära boende, kulturhistorisk intressant miljö och närhet till starka arbetsregioner. Men många gånger glömmer man bort de förutsättningar som påverkar hur människor lever sina vardagsliv. Givetvis har begreppet attraktivitet olika innebörd för olika människor men jag anser att man måste vidga begreppet attraktivitet till att även innefatta frågor om hur det är att konkret leva på orten.

Global warming is going to affect our society in many ways. One can say that the problem we face has two different sides. One of those sides has received a lot of attention, namely how we can reduce our emissions of greenhouse gases. However, because of the climate system's inertia the climate will continue to evolve over a period, no matter how much we will cut back on emissions. Because of this, we have to start adapting our society to the climate changes that we cannot influence.

Studien syftar till att undersöka konflikter inom riksintressesystemet med särskilt fokus på värdefulla ämnen eller material. Intresset för svenska mineralfyndigheter har ökat och med nya gruvetableringar kommer konflikter om markanspråk. Syftet med studien är att utifrån samhällsstyrningen, undersöka om tillämpningen av 3 och 4 MB följer intentionerna med lagstiftningen med fokus på mineralnäringen och dess konflikt med andra intressen. Riksintressesystemet som studeras, uppkom på 60- och 70-talen på grund av att staten upplevde ett behov av att kunna ange långsiktiga nationella riktlinjer för mark- och vattenhushållningen. Genom det skulle konflikter mellan industrietableringar, bebyggelseutveckling och bevarandevärda kvaliteter hanteras.

This evaluational study has been initiated by the County Council of Gävleborg (LandstingetGävleborg), politically responsible (and the main economical) authority of BibliotekGävleborg, the regional library institution in the county of Gävleborg, Sweden.The aim of the study is threefolded:1. to evaluate the organization of Bibliotek Gävleborg during the 1990's as we11 as theeffects of a reorganization carried out in 1990, and, through the use of interviews and a questionnaire, to ascertain the attitudes of Bibliotek Gävleborg's branch users (mainlythe municipal libraries in the county) towards the organizational development.2. to evaluate and compare regional library activities in Gävleborg prior to and duringthe 1990's, and to investigate the attitudes of the afore-mentioned branch users towardsBibliotek Gävleborg's activities.3. to investigate and discuss possible future directions of regional library development in Sweden in general, and in Gävleborg in particular.The closing, debating chapter in the study also'contains a few suggestions of measures to enhance regional library activity in Gävleborg..

This is my final thesis in landscapeplaning at the Swedish University ofAgricultural Sciences (SLU). I discuss howthe countryside should be planned, witha sustainable perspective. In the study Iexamine four important conditions forplanning.The countryside is often defined bywhat it is not which makes it difficult todescribe in general terms. The definition ofthe term countryside in this study is takenfrom the National Rural DevelopmentAgency (Glesbygdsverket). The conclusionis: Planners and scientists should have anunderstanding for the complexity of thecountryside; otherwise there is a risk oflosing the characteristics of the country.The legislation, goals and conventionswhich have an impact on the Swedishcountryside are both national and international.To find out how the settlementdevelopment is dealt with, I havestudied the Swedish building legislations(among others, plan- och bygglagen andmiljöbalken).Similar to the difficulties on finding asuitable definition for the term countryside,it is complex to define the term sustainabledevelopment.

Examensarbetet belyser problematiken kring stadsdelscentra, vilka hot som finns mot dessa idag och hur utvecklingen kan vändas. Utgångspunkten för studien har varit Andersbergs stadsdelscentrum i Gävle. Rapporten börjar med att ge en definition på vad ett stadsdelscentrum är samt att presentera de olika intressegrupperna och samspelet mellan dessa. Vidare beskrivs ett stadsdelscentrum utifrån ett historiskt perspektiv samt utifrån dess funktion som mötes- och handelsplats. Till ett stadsdelscentrum sammanförs olika aktiviteter som butiker, skola, möteslokaler och service för de omkringliggande bostadsområdena för att därutöver fungera som en viktig social mötesplats. Man kan särskilja fyra större intressegrupper i ett stadsdelscentrum: konsumenterna, kommunen, handlarna och fastighetsägarna.

Under 2011 implementerade den svenska regeringen en lag om fysisk planering och hur den ska ta hänsyn till det regionala perspektivet. Den regionala nivån har traditionellt sett varit svag i Sverige i jämförelse med den lokala och nationella nivån och den fysiska planeringen ligger på kommunernas ansvar. Den regionala nivån har också anklagats, från vetenskapen och forskare, att vara avpolitiserande och fokusera på förhandling och samförstånd. Den fy-siska planeringen är organiserad och drivs genom demokratiska processer på kommunal nivå och det är politikerna som fattar de beslut som den fysiska planeringen jobbar efter.När fysisk planering ska ta hänsyn till det regionala perspektivet förändras villkoren för poli-tiken och det blir en förändrad politisk arena. Syftet med denna studie är att analysera aktörer i Värmland och deras syn på denna förändrade arena och de nya villkoren för politik den för med sig.

The general aim of this paper is to describe how the European Union can affect and transfer their conditionality politics to the Western Balkan countries. A specific purpose of this study is to describe and explain what we in this paper consider to be a specific additional membership criterion, regional cooperation that has been especially designed for this region. The point of departure for this paper is Europeanization theory that will be used to study the European Union?s impact on non EU-members in Europe. The theoretical Europeanization mechanisms are taken from Heather Grabbes ?Europeanization model?.
