?Livskvalitet Karlstad 100 000? är Karlstad kommuns vision för hur Karlstad stad och kommun ska kunna uppnå 100 000 invånare. Tre av visionens fyra ledstjärnor, liksom den gällande översiktsplanen från 2006, åsyftar mestadels Karlstad stad och dess utveckling. Därför är det viktigt att poängtera utvecklingsmöjligheter för resterande orter i kommunen, såsom Väse. Väse är en landsbygdsort strategiskt belägen mellan Karlstad, Kristinehamn och Filipstad. Orten hade år 2008 1983 invånare.

Det ligger ett stort ekonomiskt intresse i de näringar som finns etablerade i Sápmi och de naturresurser som ännu inte exploaterats. Norrländska älvar, skogar och mineraler bringar stora inkomster till Sverige varför det finns ett samhälleligt intresse i att ge goda förutsättningar för att utnyttja landets naturresurser. Mineralbrytning och vindkraftsparker är intressanta etableringar i både fjäll- och skogsland och högaktualiserar frågan om rennäringens fortsatta bedrivande. Det finns även andra ekonomiska intressen i fjällområdena bortom energiproduktion, gruvnäring och skogsbruk som gör anspråk på mark och vatten som omfattas av renskötselrätt. Omfattande intrång i renbetesmarker och hinder för den praktiska renskötseln utgörs nämligen också av turism och friluftsaktiviteter.

This paper examines the opportunities and challenges of integrating conservation practice and the circular economy into practical planning processes. In recent years, the discussion of circular economy and its relevance in the sustainability debate has intensified. According to the Swedish Environmental Protection Agency, the transition to a circular economy is crucial to achieving the national and international environmental and climate goals as well as the global goals in Agenda 2030. Parallel to this, there is a long established heritage discourse that emphasizes the importance of preserving buildings and cultural environments as part of our cultural heritage. These two discourses have common goals, but they differ in how they present their respective arguments.

The study was conducted at a business in the social service. The purpose was to examine how the business works with human resource planning. In order to answer the purpose two questions was formulated, which human resource planning strategy does the business use? And, how do businesses need to act according to the theory of strategic manpower to achieve human resource planning? Survey data collection was done through a qualitative research design, where interviews with five employees in the business took place.The study shows that the business is using a own made strategy in order to achieve human resource planning. The strategy consists of two steps, in step one they do an background analysis and step two a needs analysis where a goal- and responsibility description are designed and then a set of requirements.

Spatial design for children nine to twelve years old at the Halmstad City Library. An investigation about the specific needs of the target group and how the child department can be designed to stimulate their experience of visiting the library. The aim was to create a spatial concept from the children?s ideas that inspires to playfulness and lust to read at the library. A more personal goal was to collaborate with an external part to prepare for my future role as a designer within child culture.

Logistics planning for a construction site is usually limited by traffic flow to and from the workplace. The geographical location of the construction site is determined by roads around the workplace and opportunities for well-functioning logistics. Inventory of material is often impossible because of the frequently small workspaces. As a result, a concern relating material handling remains . Even before the establishment of a construction site, it is required in the construction industry to eliminate errors that might arise in the planning stage.

The aim of the "Green forest management plans" is to help forest owners to reach the environmental goal of the forestry act. But are they able to do that? Is it possible to plan preservation of species on single estates? How do single-estate-plans differ from a landscape analysis and how can the landscape approach be used in operative planning? This work was initiated to give an answer to these questions. This study was made in a landscape of 4200 ha in Östergötland county, south-eastern Sweden. A lanscape analysis was made and then compared to the Green forest management plans in the same area. The nature conservation areas (areas that were set aside to be managed with environmenatl goals) differed quite a lot between the two alternatives.

This master thesis explores the nature of public participation as a central and most current subject in the field of urban planning. A first impression exposes a seemingly unanalyzed consensus on the values and benefits which public participation provides the process of urban planning. The city may be a concern to all its inhabitants; hence knowledge and opinions of the local public are of great importance for the urban development. But is there really something new to these assumptions, and are the advantages of increased public participation in urban planning always obvious?  By using action research as a main method, I have put myself into the context of the Swedish municipality of Nacka and their projects dealing with the development of public participation.

This thesis presents the theory behind prototyping and user interviews as parts of requirements analysis. It further discusses how these were used in the development of a budget planning application. The implemented Web-based solution uses a new component-based design rooted in a Model-View-Controller architecture. The application is used today with complete success at the Department of Computer and Information Science at Linköping University..

Detta examensarbetet är skrivet på magisterprogrammet för Fysisk planering vid Blekinge Tekniska Högskola och omfattar 30 högskolepoäng. Syftet med uppsatsen är att visa ett förslag för en framtida sträckning av ett system av spårbilar och stationer i Tyresö. Arbetet utgår från konkreta mål, riktlinjer och visioner som formulerats på internationell, nationell, regional och kommunal nivå gällande hållbar utveckling och transportsystem. Dessa visioner stämmer ofta dåligt överens med den faktiska utveckling vi kan se idag vilket gör det mycket intressant att hitta alternativa och kompletterande lösningar till dagens transportsystem. På global nivå efterlyser FN miljövänligare, tystare och mer användarvänliga transport- och kommunikationssystem eftersom dagens transportsektor, där bilen står i fokus, förbrukar stora mängder icke-förnybar energi, mark- och vattenresurser samt missgynnar flera grupper i samhället. Det nationella transportpolitiska målet innebär att transportpolitiken ska säkerställa en samhällsekonomiskt effektiv och långsiktigt hållbar transportförsörjning, ett mål som SIKA, Statens Institut för Kommunikationsanalys, i dagsläget bedömer vara mycket svårt att uppnå. På regional nivå menar utvecklingsplanen för stockholmsregionen, RUFS 2010, att regionen idag riskerar en tudelning som en följd av det hårt ansträngda vägnätet och efterlyser bättre kollektivtrafik. Statliga utredningar gjorda av SIKA och RUFS 2010 pekar ut en satsning på spårbilar som mycket intressant för att komma tillrätta med de högt ställda transportpolitiska målen och som komplement till dagens bilberoende transportsystem.

Value stream mapping is a tool that is frequently used by many different companies. It is a great tool used to achieve the work that follows the theories of lean production. The tool is used, however, only frequent on the factory floor and the method is also designed based on this type of use.An interest of applying the method on administrative parts of the company has occurred lately. Administrative parts of the company refers to the part that does all the planning such as purchasing, receiving orders, customer contact, contact with factory floor and other work that is made around the actual manufacturing. But the knowledge about applying value stream mapping on the planning part of the company is lacking because the method is relatively new.In this work, a comparison is made between the introduction of value stream analysis on production and planning.

Crisis management planning is a relatively new policy area in the European countries. It has materialized since the fall of the iron curtain and because of the increased interest to prevent wide-ranging national emergencies. In Sweden, the county administrative board has a key obligation to perform risk analysis guidelines. This assessment involves identifying crisis, planning response to the crisis and, if necessary, confronting and resolving the crisis in the geographic area of the region. The purpouse of this study is to find out how and if a Content Managment System (CMS) can benefit from applied User Experience Design (UX). A work project has been executed where a client wanted the students to create a user friendly CMS for adding content to a global hotel review site. A prototype of a CMS was created based on literature studies about UX and CMS. The prototype of the user friendly CMS was then tested through user tests and interviews with key users. After input from the key users the prototype was changed until the users were satisfied with it..

I denna uppsats undersöktes tre kommuners arbete med hållbarhet i översiksplanen. Det finns ett problem idag att hållbar utveckling är ett vardagsord som riskerar att förlora sin innebörd pga. de många olika tolkningarna och angreppssätt. Om begreppet är så pass vagt som många påstår, hur hanteras det då i översiktsplanen, vilken ska leda kommunens framtida markanvändning? I uppsatsen undersöktes Trelleborg, Helsingborg och Lund kommuns översiktsplan.

Typically, when Faurecia in Torsås are planning a new assembly line, one of the steps is to build a full-scale model of the line in card board, a form of mock-up planning. Faurecia has shown interest in finding an alternative methodology. The purpose was to explore the possibility of replacing today's cardboard based mock-up planning with models in a digital simulation environment.The purpose of the thesis has been to answer some of these complex questions; What are the benefits of using a simulation tool? In what way can we use it? If we choose to use a simulation tool, in what way does it affect our way of planning an assembly line? What are the advantages and disadvantages? Are there any economical and social aspects?Our results made us realize that a digital simulation tool does not replace the card board. On the other hand simulation could be used as a complement.
