By applying a segmentation procedure to two different sets of computed tomography scans, two geometrical models of the abdominal aorta, containing one inlet and two outlets have been constructed. One of these depicts a healthy blood vessel while the other displays one afflicted with a Abdominal Aortic Aneurysm. After inputting these geometries into the computational dynamics software FLUENT, six simulations of laminar, stationary flow of a fluid that was assumed to be Newtonian were performed. The mass flow rate across the model outlet boundaries was varied for the different simulations to produce a basis for a parameter analysis study. The segmentation data was also used as input data to a surface description procedure which produced not only the surface itself, but also the first and second directional derivatives in every one of its defining spatial data points.

The last couple of years the use of Internet has changed in the way that the web pages can be affected of the person that uses them. Because of this dynamic Internet technology has emerged that makes it possible for a web page to receive information from a web browser. This information can then be used to affect the appearance of the page. PHP and ASP are two dynamic Internet technologies. They are integrated in HTML and are executed on the web server.

The market of electronic commerce is under constant growth and change. New technology makes it possible for the consumer to obtain digital products in a quick and easy manner. Record companies adjust more and more to this ever changing environment. The purpose of this thesis was to evaluate how Swedish retailers of MP3 work with bundling strategies. A case study was conducted on two Swedish retailers, CDON and Homedownloads.

Vad är estetik? Hur ser något ut som är estetiskt tilltalande? Estetiska värderingar är något som vi ganska ofta talar om. Nästan alla har sina bestämda åsikter om vad som är vackert eller fult. Ändå är det väldigt få, om ens någon, som faktiskt kan definiera vad det är som gör något vackert. Ofta hör man beskrivningar handlar om positiva upplevelser knutna till något som man sett förut.

Sammanfattning Bakgrunden till mitt Examensarbete är att jag som student på magisterprogrammet för fysisk planering skall göra ett examensarbete som motsvarar 30 hp i slutuppgift. Mitt Examensarbete är ett utredande arbete av medborgardeltagandet inom fysisk planering. Syftet är att studera om och hur planprocessen påverkas av systemet, och dess relationer till medborgarna. Syftet är även att undersöka hur man kan genomföra en planprocess i en redan bebyggd miljö. Analysen visar att Södra Älvstranden som använt sig av ett ambitiöst upplagt medborgardeltagande, både innehåller faktorer som gynnar och missgynnar deltagarnas tillit till varandra och till systemet i sig. Mitt examensarbete har följande uppdelning: ? En teoridel där jag beskriver medborgardeltagandets förutsättningar, med bland annat planeringsteori, plansystemet, PBL etc.

Vi befinner oss i en tid då försvarsmakten står inför stora förändringar och mitt examensarbete utgör förslag till en framtida användning av Myttingeområdet i Värmdö kommun. Myttingeområdet är det största området på fast-landet i Värmdö kommun där försvaret innehar mark och är därför särskilt intressant från kommunens sida. Idag är Myttingeområdet ett övningsfält/skjutfält för försvarsmakten och en förutsättning för att det ska kunna ske en civil utveckling är att försvarsmakten avyttrar eller medger samutnyttjande av området. Vid en förändring av försvarets verksamhet står utvecklingen av Myttingeområdet vid ett vägval och i denna rapport presenteras ett förslag till framtida markanvändning där tanken är att fokusera på möjligheter för utvecklingen snarare än restriktioner. Trycket är stort på storstadsregionen Stockholm och detta påverkar även Värmdö kommun. Det är många intressen som skall samsas om en begränsad yta i kommunen och då inflyttningen är stor och befolkningen spås fortsatt öka i framtiden innebär det att konflikterna om en allt mer krympande yta kommer att öka.

Avfall är ett växande problem i världen och med ökat fokus på hållbarhet har återvinning fått en större roll i dagens samhälle. För att hantera återvinningen finns återvinningsstationer där mycket av insamlingen av material sker. Dessvärre får planering av återvinningsstationer inte alltid tillräckligt med uppmärksamhet, vilket kan bero på kunskaps- och/eller intressebrist i frågan. Förhoppningar inför arbetets start var att reda ut begrepp och ansvarsfördelning samt ge en klarare bild över vad en fysisk planerare kan förväntas göra när det handlar om återvinningsstationer och bistå med relevant information. En fallstudie har gjorts av Malmö utifrån de tre huvudinriktningarna på arbetet: planering, placering och utformning. Inom fallstudien har litteraturstudier och kvalitativa intervjuer utförts.

This report is focusing on problems with introducing standard enterprise resource planning systems (ERP) in businesses. A study has been carried out on a service and support department at a Swedish heat metering company, SVM North Node. The study aims to help the company become a better customer in choice and customization of a new ERP system. We make a description of the department studied and the work carried out there, on the basis of learning, knowledge and cooperation. As a final point we present some ideas on how computer systems could support their work, hoping that this will result in them making adequate demands on a new ERP system.

Swedish school has for the last decades been using quality management as a method for improvement. Quality management is an enormous work and the whole school staff needs to be involved. The management consists of several parts like planning, surveys and interviews, analysis of the replies and setting up new goals. Parents, children and teachers are nowadays accustomed with quality surveys. The last few years these quality surveys have been computerized, but they still look almost the same, using little interaction with the respondent.I have had the opportunity to work with the company KMF Ventures, which has a vision that entails a more interactive web survey.

Reliability of supply will become increasingly important in the future and it is therefore important to investigate factors affecting the failure rates in electrical components.Sweden was hit by several severe storms during the 00?s. As a result of this many overhead lines in forests were cablified. In urban areas underground cable systems have been the norm for many years.

Often, the green is handled as an opposite to the built, but if it could be seen as a part of the built and the society, the planning will be easier to handle. The thesis work wants to create a method that treats villages in an analytic way in a context; with green, blur, grey and all the other colors that together are the completeness.This master's thesis is made to be used as foundation in detail plannng in the municipality of Örkelljunga. Target audience is on one hand those who work with planning and green matters in Örkelljunga municipality, but also other planners who work with landscape.Literature in the field of green city planning has been studied and 30 methods for analysis have been valued. The method for analysis that has been used in this work is a merging of ten different methods and has included literature studies, sketches, interviews and work on spot. The ten methods are consciously chosen to together make one comprehensive and true image of the village, as far as it is possible.

Ett branschanpassat affärssystem är avsett för organisationer verksamma inom samma bransch. Syftet med denna typ av affärssystem är att ge högre passform än standardiserade affärssystem och vara billigare än skräddarsydda affärssystem. Det råder dock brist på kunskap om hur dessa ska utvecklas. Genom vår litteraturstudie presenteras en kravinsamlingsmodell med utgångspunkt i Requirements Engineering som ska ge stöd för utvecklare vid insamling av krav för branschanpassade affärssystem. Utöver det identifierades ett flertal aktiviteter relaterade till modellen.

This study investigates the planning process of a university library building. The study s major concern is the cooperation of the main participants in this process: librarians, architects and representatives of university colleges and universities. First the authors present the readers with an overview of the litterature concerning this subject. Then follows a presentation of the three case studies. The authors have interviewed representatives of the three different occupational groups at three different library-building projects: Malmö University, Halmstad University College and the department of social- and behavioural studies at Lund University.

Acquiring a former station building can mean that the property owners must familiarize themselves with a lot of planning and building regulations. After the new Planning and Building Act code into force in 2011, the responsibility lie on the developer to ensure laws and regulations. Based on the regulatory framework that is available occurs sometimes balance issues, between care requirements and building codes. The station building in Ormaryd was acquired in 2009 by two individuals who intended to accommodate office and retail space in the building. In doing so a new local plan of the area was established, including regulations on how the building could be used. By including road safety and noise, the risk was not considered appropriate to use the station building for housing.

Abstract Considering the social dimension of sustainable development this thesis focuses on the qualities of life and how the environmental qualities that the inhabitants value can be incorporated in the physical planning of the municipality. The thesis deals with the problems that occur when the physical planning, whit its focus on the environmental aspects, also needs to consider peoples opinions, that springs from the individual experience of the place. The municipality of Mark, where this thesis takes its place, is characterised by the countryside landscape. Mark is situated in the western part of Sweden close to Göteborg, Borås and Varberg. The commuting is extensive and the demand for dwellings in the municipality is increasing. Those who strive to live in the municipality have a conception of what life on the countryside means and of which environmental qualities they want to assimilate.
