The purpose of this paper is to investigate how a small company manages its information, primarily the organization of digital documents. The two dominating themes are classification and information politics, the former in the context of a corporate environment and the latter to help us to describe the situation at the company. The method used has involved observation of the company's current computer network structure and also interviews with six employees at different levels in various departments at the company. The result of our investigation has been the realization that, although logical structure is important when organizing documents in a digital environment, it is also necessary to have rules regarding its implementation..

This essay investigates the history of the depiction of angels, visions of angels both ancient and modern, and includes psychological aspects of symbols as such. A closer look at surrounding symbols of angels will hopefully result in a greater understanding of the role of the angel-symbol within the context of visual culture, seen in the light of our own symbolic universe..

De externa köpcentrumen har haft en stark utveckling i storstäderna och framförallt har de externa köpcentrumen utvecklats ännu bättre i de mindre städer. Under 1990-talet har externhandeln vuxit med hela 85 procent i Sverige. Att handeln har samlats till färre platser, mest till externa köpcentrum, beror dels på att det skett en urbanisering och dels på att bilanvändningen har ökat. Förr byggdes städerna vid åmynningar, där handelsleder korsades och så småningom vid järnvägsknutar. Numera utvecklas bostäder och service oberoende av varandra.

Närheten till Danmark och utvecklingen av Öresundsregionen har länge skapat positiva och dynamiska effekter för Skåne, med ökade investeringar och etableringar. Avståndet mellan Sverige och Danmark är kort vilket underlättar rörligheten för kapital, varor, tjänster och arbetskraft. På den svenska sidan om Öresund är den privata tjänstesektorn med högutbildad arbetskraft huvudsakligen koncentrerad till sydvästra delen av Skåne. In a time of fierce global competition, where an immense amount of commercial messages reaches consumers around the clock and in every conceivable context, companies constantly seek to find new ways to reach out with their product. One way to do so, that has increased in popularity in recent years, is the use of gift bags. A gift bag may contain samples, miniature products and even products in full size, as a rule from several different brands, which the recipient receives free of charge. The gift bag is typically distributed at some form of event, such as store openings, fashion shows, theme parties and the like, and the receiver of the gift bag can then evaluate the content without any obligation to purchase. The ambition of the companies that choose to participate with their products in a gift bag is, of course, that the recipient will find their products satisfactory, and ideally, that he or she will continue to consume the brand in the future.There are numerous scientific research contributions related to the use of free samples, but very few that concern the gift bag, where a collection of samples from different sources and brands appear.

In this thesis the positioning of children and adults in the context of children?s rights in SouthAfrica and Sweden are examined. With theoretical terms as children in vulnerability and adults incharge the analysis examines how South Africa and Sweden has been using the UN children?sconvention to empower children and for what consequences in the positioning of children that hasshown. And that adults are positioned as a powerful group with a responsibilty of protectingchildren.

Stadsdelen Skäggetorp är en förort cirka 4 kilometer från Linköpings centrum som uppfördes under miljonprogrammet det vill säga mellan 1965-74. Under dessa tio år uppfördes drygt en miljon bostäder i Sverige med avsikten att bygga bort den bostadsbrist och trångboddhet som då rådde. Efteråt har byggandet och stadsdelarna från epoken kommit att kritiserats hårt för att bland annat ha monotona och torftiga miljöer. Utemiljöerna var något som allt som oftast blev eftersatt vid byggandet på grund av att det rationaliserades och serietillverkning skedde. Förorterna från miljonprogrammet har även kritiserats på grund av den segregering som allt som oftast skett i dessa stadsdelar.

The thesis aims to describe the current sales climate in the context of complex sales in business-to-business. The purpose is to increase the clients knowledge of sales and test the clients hypothesis that the sales climate is changing from Solution Selling to Insight Selling, further the thesis aims to contribute to the scientific debate of sales. Solution Selling is characterized, as the name suggest, by selling of solution to the customers needs. With Insight Selling the seller has a provocative approach towards the customer and the seller is searching for customers in the need of change. This is a qualitative study conducted with eight interviews and one focus group.

The following essay is a study of the theatre-play Min Arm, a translation and performance by Per Lasson for Fria Teatern in Stockholm 2009-2010. Actor, director and playwright Tim Crouch wrote the original script My Arm in English in 2003.With basis in intermedial theory, as defined by Jörgen Bruhn, as well as Hans-Thies Lehmann?s theory on post-dramatic theatre this study investigates the meaning-building processes in Min Arm as a theatrical performance. Concepts of the difference between stage play and performance text are borrowed from and inspired mainly by Eli Rozik?s Generating Theatre Meaning.

Boendesegregationsfrågan har under de senaste åren fått en allt större uppmärksamhet. Den negativa samhällsutvecklingen i samband med koncentrationen av fattiga invånare och minoritetsgrupper i vissa bostadsområden väckte även intresset för grannskapseffekter. När effekterna blir negativa för de boende blir det genast befogat att finna lösningar för att åtgärda problemen. Det har under årens gång därför riktats satsningar mot de utsatta områdena för att motverka boendesegregationen och dess effekter, en typ av satsning som senare fått motstå mycket kritik. Idag råder det en allmän samsyn bland politiker, beslutsfattare och planerare om att boendesegregationsproblematiken kan åtgärdas om de socialt utsatta områdena blir mer socialt blandade.

Filmmusic is often composed specially for a film. When analyzing film-music it seems very common to study the function of the music in a narrative context in order to see how it cooperates or relates to this narration. In the present thesis I am investigating the interaction between film and music as two ingredients on an equal level. In short: what happens when a filmmaker chooses music that has already been composed for another occasion, even in another time and a different cultural context? My aim is twofold: first to examine current film analytic strategies, secondly to find new ways of comprehend pre-composed music in relation to its new setting in a film.

The purpose of this study is to find, understand and discuss the experiences of former employees at SAAB, and present how this can be understood according to my core theoretical concepts, which are participation and identity. The questions asked in the study are based on how the labor is described, characterized and what comes forth as valuable, which is compared to absence of labor work.First, labor is described in an historical and social context, and at the same time related to the core theoretical concept. Second, the methodology chapter is presented, which mainly consists of 11 observations and 10 interviews. Third, the chapter regarding former theory leads to an analysis model, which is used on the empirical material of the study.The result shows that labor work at SAAB primarily is described as important for socializing, security and the possibility to be independent. The tasks at SAAB are described as backbreaking and monotonous, while the lack of labor work influences the physical and mental wellbeing.

Olika sorters val utgör en viktig grundkomponent i ett spel. Det här arbetet tar avstamp i self-determination theory, som påvisar ett samband mellan valfrihet, inre motivation och inlevelse, och undersöker hur en viss sorts val kan påverka spelares inlevelse. Kan större valfrihet medföra större inlevelse i dataspel och kan vissa sorters val skapa olika förutsättningar för de tre inlevelsetyperna narrativ-, spatial- och ludisk inlevelse?Studien gjordes genom att sex testpersoner spelade olika versioner av ett spel med olika grader av valfrihet och sedan svarade på en kort intervju. Resultaten skiljde sig dock inte nämnvärt åt mellan de olika versionerna.

Outdoor advertising is not very often discussed within city planning even though the commercial messages occupy much of public space. The advertising signs affects not only the physical environment but also social life. In this report I would like to acknowledge and question the presence of advertising in our everyday environment. Outdoor advertising is not a new phenomena, technical progress however, results constantly in new expansions in the environment. Today advertising occurs in all sorts of shapes in the cities, both as free standing signs and as signs attached to facades, incorporated in city furniture such as bus shelters and on vehicles moving along the city streets. Grouping advertising into two categories; local and national, reveals that the different categories have different impact on public space.

The purpose of this master's thesis is to examine children's communication and interaction during story time at the public library. The aim is also to examine how to develop the story time ? in terms of participation and equality ? at a specific library.Action research was used as a research strategy and participant observation, log, tutoring and interviews as methods to collect data. Since action research is done on the basis of practice, a significant collaboration with the librarian and the participant children is taking place within this study.Research from the fields of Library and Information Science, Education and Childhood Sociology form the interdisciplinary research area to which this study links. The theoretical framework consists of theory and concepts from the Socio-cultural Perspective, Poststrucuralist Feminism and Childhood Sociology.
