In the increasing urban environments and the modern societies demands for sustainability there is a challange in planning cities with a balance between density and a satisfying access of recreational environments. For attractive cities these environments need to be designed to fit every inhabitants? demands and opinions in some way. Increased knowledge and understanding is therefore needed about how different design styles in landscape architecture affect people and the cities. In this bachelor thesis benefits and disadvantages as well as the experience and impact of two fundamental design styles i discussed; naturalistic and formal/abstract design.

In relation to the development of IT-products it is very important that the software supplier is aware not only of the target group but also the field of application. Usability should characterize the whole IT-design process as, in relation to this context, design includes more than merely those aspects which are visible to and thus can be interpreted by the naked eye. The study examines the specific qualities and properties that substantiate the usability and the demands that a customer rightfully expects from an IT-product. The user and the customer are highlighted in the same context in order to demonstrate that it is through the customer that an IT-product is defined as being useful. Thus, from this perspective, the user and customer can be considered as being the same person.

Agile as an idea was created in 2001 through the Agile Manifesto with focus on social relationships, communication and flexibility. This was a reaction to the traditional, hierarchical organization with the goal of restoring balance within organizations in the IT business. Today we can see a transit of Agile from the IT-industry to other industries and areas, such as HRM.There is a challenge in attempting to traditionally control a social idea such as Agile, and there is a lack of empirical studies of the organizational context and its effect on the interpretation of Agile in practice. This study is an attempt to connect Agile to the science of business administration.The purpose with this study is therefore to research the organizational contexts effects on the interpretation of Agile in practice, within IT and HRM. Where Agile is established or well known.To fulfill our purpose we chose social constructivism as our scientifically approach, and conducted 12 in-depth interviews.

Under en tidigare analys av dialogen kring och detaljplanen för ett stadsförnyelseprojekt i Göteborg, vilken jag gjorde i samband med mitt kandidatarbete, blev det tydligt för mig att nyckelorden som används har olika betydelse för olika aktörer. Efter att nyckelorden, eller trendbegreppen som jag har valt att kalla dem, beskrivits i översiktsplaner och stadsbyggnadsdebatt finns det fortfarande ett stort tolkningsutrymme, vilket gör att trendbegreppens motsvarigheter i de fysiska planerna kan se mycket olika ut. Vilka begrepp som används har betydelse för stadsutvecklingen och avslöjar vilka ideal som är framträdande. Syftet med rapporten har varit att undersöka vilka nyckelord/ trendbegrepp som används inom svensk stadsbyggnadsdebatt och projekt idag, samt att utreda begreppens samband med svensk nutida planering. För att uppnå syftet har följande tillvägagångssätt använts: ? Beskrivning av de två tydligaste motpolerna, som jag tyckt mig urskilja i det insamlade materialet; ?den traditionella, europeiska staden? och modernismens/miljonprogrammets planer.

Rastplatser är något många tar förgivet, de bara finns där längs vägarna med jämna mellanrum. Tyvärr stämmer inte det i hela Sverige. Södra Sverige har ett bra nätverk med rastplatser som kommer med bra mellanrum. Från Gävle och norrut finns det tyvärr en helt annan bild. På rastplatskartan från 2010 ser man tydligt att rastplatserna blir färre och färre ju längre norr ut man kommer.

Nybro är en stad i ?Glasriket? i Småland, tillhörande Kalmar län. 2004 antogs en Fördjupad översiktsplan för Nybro stad med övergripande riktlinjer för stadens utveckling men ett mer detaljerat stadsmiljöprogram med analys och förslag till riktlinjer för utveckling av stadens offentliga rum finns inte. Arbetet med att utveckla stadens kärna är redan i full gång men det är fortfarande många delar av Nybro stads offentliga miljöer som är slitna, omoderna, av väldigt blandade karaktärer och i stort behov av en uppfräschning och uppstramning. Den fysiska avgränsningen för mitt arbete är Nybro stad men framförallt stadsdelen Centrum och stadens mest offentliga miljöer. Syftet med mitt examensarbete är att ta fram ett förslag till ett stadsmiljöprogram för Nybro stad med förslag på åtgärder som kan genomföras för att få attraktivare offentliga miljöer i stadskärnan utifrån de förutsättningar, kvalitéer och brister som finns idag. Efter en sammanfattning av Nybro stads utveckling beskriver jag hur det ser ut i Nybro stad idag.

Detta examensarbete behandlar dagens trafikproblem och den planering som vi tror krävs för att nå en hållbar utveckling. Med hållbar utveckling menar vi bl.a. ett hållbart resande ? ett resande som inte begränsar mobiliteten men som ökar möjligheterna att förflytta sig mer miljövänligt. Mer konkret vill vi att folk ska kunna lämna barnen på dagis på väg till pendelparkeringen, ta tåget/ spårvagnen/bussen till jobbet och sedan efter jobbet kunna uträtta sina ärenden, i samband med att barnen hämtas på vägen hem.

Kommunen har som mål i samhällsbyggandet att förnya och förtäta det bebyggda stadsområdet. De vill fortsätta med stadsbyggandet bland annat längs med Bäveån till Inre Hamnområdet. Kommunen vill även ha en blandad bebyggelse med bostäder, verksamheter och service. Att förnya och förtäta i befintliga områden, i det här fallet Inre hamnområdet, leder därför till korta avstånd för de boende till arbete och service. I och med en utbyggnad av Inre Hamnområdet kommer centrum att utökas mot sydväst och därmed få större vattenkontakt. En förnyelse skall stärka samt komplettera stadens centrum och attraktivitet. Inre Hamnområdet utgör med andra ord ett högintressant område med ett centralt läge med möjligheter till bra kommunikationsmöjligheter, service och attraktivt boende.

The purpose of this master's thesis is to evaluate whether it is feasible to use the panchromatic band of Landsat 7 in order to improve the spatial resolution of colour images. The images are to be used as texture in visual databases for flight simulators and for this reason it is important that the fusion preserves natural colours.A number of methods for fusing panchromatic and multispectral images are discussed. Four of them are implemented and evaluated. The result is that standard methods such as HSI substitution are not suitable for this purpose since they do not preserve natural colours. However, if only high frequencies of the panchromatic image are used the resolution can be improved without noticeable colour distortion..

Denna uppsats har som syfte att dels undersöka människors upplevelser av otrygghet i offentliga parker och dels undersöka vilka fysiska åtgärder som medborgarna upplever ökar trygghetskänslan. Men även att undersöka om, och i så fall vilka, fysiska åtgärder som presenteras i kommunala parkprogram. Utifrån arbetets forskningsöversikt presenteras de teoretiska perspektiven, upplevelsen av otrygghet och den offentliga parken. Genom de teoretiska perspektiven förstår man vad en plats är och hur människor upplever otrygghet. De visar att våra egna erfarenheter, visioner och förutfattade meningar påverkar användningen av platsen.

In this thesis we propose a conceptual plan for thedevelopment of an Agroforestry Training Centre (ATC)in Musoma, Tanzania. The aim is to make a proposalto support peasant education in agroforestry. How canan ATC in Musoma be developed into a stimulatingand educational park suitable for teaching agroforestrymethods to peasant farmers and other potential users?To answer that a field study was conducted to investigatehow our client Vi Agroforestry Programme (Vi) and thetarget groups of the client can benefit from the site.The thesis begins with a short explanation of thecontext, in which the ATC plays a part followed by amethodology chapter. Next are three chapters presentedwhich introduce the reader to the research conductedbefore starting the proposal, these include: results ofliterature studies, study of precedents, and results of fieldstudy.

Denna uppsats syftar till att bidra med en bättre förståelse för hur uppföljning och utvärdering av översiktsplanen sker i praktiken. Vidare är syftet att föra en diskussion kring hur utvärderingen kan utvecklas. För att undersöka detta väljs Sveriges tre största kommuner (Stockholm, Göteborg och Malmö) ut, eftersom de har en ledande roll i svensk planering och troligtvis har mest resurser att tillgå för att bedriva utvärdering. Följande problemformulering används för att ta reda på syftet: Hur tillämpas uppföljning och utvärdering av översiktsplanen i svenska storstadskommuner? En bakgrund till vad som ingår i begreppen uppföljning och utvärdering görs inledningsvis, samt en redogörelse av olika typer av utvärdering.

My bachelor?s dissertation concerns the creation of a proposal for interior decoration of the Boland High School?s canteen. I have been in contact with personnel, students and the school principal through the duration of the project. In the end, substantive changes of lighting, interior decoration and movement were proposed for the canteen. In the proposal I have focused on accentuating the school?s profile, on creating smaller spatial configurations within the larger configuration of the room, lowering the noise level, creating a good movement flow, increase the number of seats and creating a pleasant environment in which to eat..

This report is a literature review that aims to describe marketing contexts for mango production in Kenya. The institutional conditions in the country are not well developed for marketing purposes, which causes many difficulties and problems for the society. In Kenya most mango producers are poor small-scale farmers with limited resources. Mango is a perishable commodity and to keep its value and quality it is essential to have the opportunity to sell the mangos in the right time. Inefficient and undeveloped infrastructure and marketing systems hinders the mangos to reach the market in time though, which causes large losses of produce.The Kenyan mango production has increased during the last decade but due to market losses for the producer, the small-scale farmers? profits have not improved.

The main aim of this study is to examine the political debate in Sweden around a potentionalcriminalization of buying sex abroad. A second additional aim is to analyze the debate from anintersectional feminist gender perspective, by bringing attention to ideas about gender, ethnicity andpower expressed in the empirical material.The questions at issue are:What are the arguments for and against the potentional criminalization of buying sex abroad andwhich central discursive battles can be discerned throughout the debate?What impact do ideas about gender and power have on the construction of a general advocatediscourse versus a general antagonist discourse?The methodological point of departure is Critical Discourse Analysis, drawing on the theories ofNorman Fairclough, Ernesto Laclau and Chantal Mouffe. The empirical material consists of 27articles and editorials publicized in Swedish newspapers between January 2011 and November2014.The result shows that the polemics manifested in the debate are based on different ideas aboutgender, ethnicity and power. A crucial discursive battle stands between human rights andinternational law as a superior principle.
