The purpose of this study is to investigate whether Karlstad City Fiber Network visual elements in the form of a pair of speech bubbles fit into the organization's holistic external communication and branding. The study examines whether Karlstad City Fiber Network image of the organization and the speech bubbles match the stakeholders view and how the visual elements are perceived and recognized by stakeholders. The theory associated with the study is theories of corporate visual identity, image, identity and branding and visual communication. These three elements are important to be aware of when a generation of an effective external communications. Qualitative interviews with employees at Karlstad City Fiber Network and Karlstad municipality has undertaken to give an idea of ??what the organization wants to achieve and what their opinions are.

The purpose of this master thesis is to describe the professional and literary life of Karl-Gunnar Wall, city librarian of Katrineholm between 1944 and 1975. Questions at issue are the reasons for Walls literary interests, Walls choice of occupation, crucial personal meetings, the context in which Wall acts, Walls fundamental principles as a librarian and as a critic, and the features comprising Walls life history. The method used is a merely qualitative one called "life history". It is founded on in-depth interviews with the persons involved and emanates from the individuals own story about his life. I have carried out three taped interviews; one with Wall himself, and two with his colleagues.

SAMMANFATTNING Norra älvstranden har sedan industrialiseringen på 1800-talet varit ett område för varvsindustri och blev under 1900-talet en av de viktigaste hamnarna i Skandinavien.Under de tre senaste decennierna har varvsindustrin här gått från framgång till kris och avveckling. I mitten av 1980-talet påbörjades arbetet med en omvandling av norra älvstranden från varvsindustri till en stadsdel med en blandning av olika funktioner,såsom verksamheter,bostäder,handel,service och kultur. Projektet delades in i flera etapper,varav Frihamnen är en etapp som ännu inte utvecklats. Förbindelserna mellan norra och södra älvstranden samt mellan norra älvstranden och centrala delarna på Hisingen aktualiseras ytterligare i och med förändringarna på norra älvstranden.För att integrera de ?nya ? stadsdelarna med centrala Göteborg krävs gena,säkra och effektiva stråk som binder samman stadsdelarna. Arbetet med dessa förbindelser är en viktig förutsättning för Göteborgs framtida utveckling. I detta projekt studeras,utifrån en så kallad Space Syntaxanalys,hur Frihamnen kan integreras med city och de centrala delarna på Hisingen samt vilken betydelse ökade förbindelser över Göta älv har för integreringen av och mellan dessa områden.Space Syntaxanalysen kan kort beskrivas som en renodlad rumslig analys som studerar det fysiska rummets konfigurering i en stad.Detta innebär att analysen fokuserar på relationerna mellan rummen och inte på rummen i sig.Enligt upphovsmannen till teorin,Bill Hillier,avgör det fysiska rummets konfigurella egenskaper uppkomsten för socialt liv.Detta projekt beskriver,redovisar och diskuterar även teorin som analysmetod och planeringsinstrument. Som vägledning genom studien ges här en läshänvisning av de olika delarna i dokumentet.Del I redogör för arbetets syfte och bakgrund samt beskriver områdets historik och förutsättningar.Del II beskriver Space Syntax som teori och metod.Del III diskuterar Space Syntax som analys-och planeringsinstrument samt visar analyser av olika planstrukturer över Frihamnen.Del IV redovisar planförslaget med de nya kopplingarna.Del V ger kommentarer och drar slutsatser kring arbetet med och studien av teorin Space Syntax..

This report describes how I worked with a spatial information problem, where the focus was to produce clearer barriers between horses and spectators at equestrian competitions. My background as a competition rider, combined with my knowledge of the spatial design, has caused me to react to how the information on riding and racing facilities deficiencies. Experienced people in the riding know how they should act with the horse. But novices who are unfamiliar with the situation is not aware of the risks it may pose to move among horses. The study was conducted on the national facility Strömsholm which both experienced and novice equestrian visits.

The study examines how social media can be used in a business-to-business context. To understand the communication conditions, factors has been identified that affects the choice of communication channels for different types of information transferred between parts. Furthermore, the study investigates the underlying reasons for why certain communication channels are chosen before others, in different situations. The study results are based on qualitative semi-structured interviews with employees in a small engineering consulting company. The investigation has focused on employee communication and choice of communication tools primarily in relation to the business relationship.

Syftet med denna studie var att reliabilitetstesta Alberta Context Tool (ACT) i svensk hälso- och sjukvård och beskriva ortopedsjuksköterskors skattning av kontextuella faktorer såsom ledarskap, arbetskultur, återkoppling, utvecklingsmöjligheter och forskningsanvändning, som kan påverka möjligheten att omsätta forskningsresultat i vårdarbetet. Urvalet bestod av 119 sjuksköterskor som arbetade på ortopediska vårdavdelningar på sex olika sjukhus i mellersta Sverige. ACT är ett frågeformulär framtaget utifrån de senaste årens forskning om vilka faktorer i kontexten som har betydelse för sjuksköterskors forskningsanvändning. Reliabilitetstest gjordes enligt analys med Chronbach`s Alpa och innehållsvaliditet. Resultatet visade att ACT var relevant att användas för sjuksköterskor som arbetar på ortopedisk vårdavdelning i Sverige.

Vellinge är både centralorten i Vellinge kommun och en bostadsförort till Malmö. Orten består till stor del av villabebyggelse. Vellinges expansion kan härledas till två viktiga händelser där den första var järnvägen drogs in till Vellinge. Järnvägen skapade nya förutsättningar för industrier, handel och framförallt nya kommunikationer. Den andra händelsen var bilens starka intåg under 50-talet. Bilen skapade möjligheten att röra sig över längre sträckor vilket också resulterade i att utbyggnaden av Vellinge bredde ut sig över större ytor. Utbredningen nådde sin topp under 70-talet då Vellinge fördubblades i storlek. I centrum genomfördes under samma tid en modernisering där nya centrumbyggnader och stora parkeringsytor anlades.

The aim of this study has been to investigate students? understanding of fractions when they occur in the practical subject home economics. In order to investigate this, the learning study method was used. Learning study can be understood as a method to gain deeper understanding of what is learnt by students during a lesson to increase learning outcome.The variation theory framework has been utilized to analyze the results of this study. The object of learning was chosen to be addition of fractions bigger than one half when they appear in home economics.

Detta arbete har tagit fokus på en ännu outforskad företeelse i svensk kommunal planeringspraktik, nämligen något som här kallas ?konsultplanering?, det vill säga konsultmedverkan i den kommunala planeringen. Uppsatsen har avgränsats till att handla om ?planeringskonsulter? och konsultuppdrag som konkret handlar om planering och inte olika utredningar etc. som i och för sig också ingår i planeringsprocessen och ofta utförs av konsulter. Ämnet är intressant eftersom det idag är vanligt i de flesta av Sveriges län att kommunerna använder sig av konsulter. Studiens syfte är att studera den ökande konsultplaneringen i den svenska kommunala planeringspraktiken, samt dess positiva respektive negativa konsekvenser för planeringssystemet.

The national spatial planning guidelines and the subsequent legal regulation in the Natural Resources Act and the Environmental Code has been a part of the Swedish planning system for almost 40 years. In the recent years, critics have claimed that the regulations are outdated and does not work the way it was intended. This paper examines closer why it is perceived that the regulations does not work, with a focus on how the national interests are managed in the municipal planning. Why is the national interests not applied in the municipal planning as intended? Is the error in the system or in the implementation of it? The aim of this essay is to study the gap between theory and practice by studying how the land management provisions in the Environmental Code is applied in five selected municipalities. The aim is also to find interesting issues for futher studies of the topic.

This thesis focuses on the mass media cover of ?Smart textiles?. The Swedish?smart? textiles are developed in Borås and are a mix of ordinary textile and new technology.  I analyse the article with a text analysis method, looking at themes and the language?s propositions in focus. Context and the actors in the articles are also important in the analysis.Many women occur as developers of the new smart technical product, a field often knowed as a typical male subject.

A too large public sector impedes the economic development of Sweden and more privatization could increase the efficiency, quality and diversity of the services offered. It is therefore important that firms operating in traditionally public sectors are given the opportunity to grow. We have through a case study examined two mid-size firms that offer services to, and compete with, the public sector. This thesis aims to describe the growth strategies these firms are using and if competing with the public sector implies any differences in possibilities or barriers when it comes to the firms? growth.

The primary aim of this thesis is to examine female lawyers' relationships to information from different angles. The starting-point is that the legal information, retrieved from through different information sources, is not free from values and subjectivity. The commonly presumed objectivity of legal information is questioned, based on the fact that this kind of information has developed and changed historically in the context of, and in relation to, society. Another aim is to find out how the female lawyers experience their situation in a traditionally masculine working environment. Qualitative interviews have been carried out with seven female lawyers involving questions about their daily work about the sources that they are using.
