In Eskilstuna and Sweden in general the level of reuse of surplus material containing soils and rocks from excavation is low. In this report the potential for increasing the reuse of excavated material in Eskilstuna by using a web-based earth information database has been examined. The purpose of a web-based earth information database is to connect those who have surplus material with those who need material for a fast and simple transaction. The intention is to give Eskilstuna a more environmentally and economically efficient handling of surplus material by increasing the level of reuse and thereby reducing the amount of surplus material that is wasted and emissions given off to the atmosphere during transportation. The potential has been examined in two different ways, by tracing information about a number of projects to see if excavated material driven to the dump could have been used in another project and by interviewing eight of the work leaders active in Eskilstuna.

The main goal of this project was to develop some sort of a diverter for pipestransporting waste in a vacuum system. This unit was supposed to be both cheap andeasy to serve/exchange worn out parts. With a limited space to install the pipeexchanger, the challenge was to keep it as compact as possible without constructingbends with to small radius or to sharp angles as this would wear out the system a lotfaster than planned. The system was also supposed to be able to handle clothes andscrubs from hospitals. Having too much sharp edges or angles would tear the clothesapart.

Aim: Compare occurrences of first-time-events reported by mothers and fathers with children at high tech NICU according to kangaroo-mother-care method in two university hospitals. Method: Descriptive, quantitative design. Fourty-five couples of parents, with premature children born and cared for at university hospitals in Uppsala or Örebro, answered questionnaires about first-time-events: interaction-events, measures-of-care-events and sleeping-place-events. Results: All differences regarding the children?s age at first-time-events showed Uppsala-children to be younger than Örebro-children. Interaction-events were reported first in children?s lives, measures-of-care-events and sleeping-place-events later.

Utvärderandet av instrument och metoder är väsentligt för att avgöra validiteten och reliabiliteten av studiers resultat. I den här studien utvärderades delskalan Emotional Regulation. Delskalan ingår i Social Competence Scale (Corrigan, 2003) och användes som underlag för observationer av barn i åldern 4-5 år inom implementeringsförsöket av preventionsprogrammet PsPATHS i Sverige. Totalt deltog 132 barn vid två separata observationstillfällen. Två explorativa faktoranalyser med olika estimationsmetoder (ML och GLS) resulterade i en enfaktorslösning.

Den ökande urbaniseringen innebär att samhället befinner sig i en konstant förändringsprocess. Staden och dess invånare är därigenom ständigt under utveckling. Effekten kan innebära omvandlingar i varierande skala men för en invånare kan det betyda stora omställningar i livssituationen. För många är boendet en viktig fråga och inverkningar på närmiljön kan ge starka reaktioner. En stadsomvandling i kvarteret kan upplevas både som traumatisk och nödvändig beroende på perspektiv. Exempel på en sådan situation är den nybyggnation som gjordes i Dalston, London. Nya bostadskomplex ledde till stora protester och resulterade i att planeringen började om, i ett omtalat projekt: Making space in Dalston.

År 2000 infördes lagen om väjningsplikt i Sverige. I samband med att lagen infördes minskade antalet obevakade övergångsställen i Sverige med cirka 15-20 procent. De kommuner som tog bort obevakade övergångsställen använde främst material från Vägverkets kampanj Zkona Zebrafolket för att informera invånarna.År 2009 beslutade Eskilstuna kommun att ta bort majoriteten av de obevakade övergångsställena i centrala Eskilstuna. I detta examensarbete har retoriska analyser genomförts på tre tidningsannonser från kampanjen Zkona Zebrafolket. Utifrån teorier om hur grafisk form kan väcka mottagarens uppmärksamhet samt om hur information kan anpassas till en heterogen målgrupp har ett annonsförslag tagits fram.

I övrigt finns möjlighet till föreläsningar och undervisning i anslutning till entrén och shoppen.     Byggnaden är också mer än bara en konsthall för Uppsala och årummet.

This study was performed to investigate how the Japanese sect Aum Shinrikyo was legitimating its violence and killing acts. By analyzing the leader and members of the sect, and applying this information on two theoretical models, this paper tries to give an explanation of both single acts of violence and killing, and two terrorattacks.The result shows that Aum Shinrikyo was able to legitimate violence and killing acts through its ideology. In their opinion, cosmos was a place with several levels and everyone wanted to get as high as possible. Those who were killed by the sect would never be able to get to a higher level by living, since they would do too many bad actions. The murderers also got better karma since they helped the person to a better place.The legitimating of violence and killing acts in Aum Shinrikyo can be explained as a duty that is holy, which agrees with the theorists about religious terrorism..

A new FPGA suitable for space applications has just reached the market. To investigate whether there are any possible flaws or limitations similar to those previously seen on FPGAs, an evaluation has to be done. Abstract Considering the social dimension of sustainable development this thesis focuses on the qualities of life and how the environmental qualities that the inhabitants value can be incorporated in the physical planning of the municipality. The thesis deals with the problems that occur when the physical planning, whit its focus on the environmental aspects, also needs to consider peoples opinions, that springs from the individual experience of the place. The municipality of Mark, where this thesis takes its place, is characterised by the countryside landscape. Mark is situated in the western part of Sweden close to Göteborg, Borås and Varberg. The commuting is extensive and the demand for dwellings in the municipality is increasing. Those who strive to live in the municipality have a conception of what life on the countryside means and of which environmental qualities they want to assimilate.
