Ledtidsreducering för färdigställning av bergborrstål vid
Sandvik Materials Technology
Detta examensarbete är utfört på Sandvik Materials Technology (SMT) i Sandviken. SMT har under ett antal år arbetat mot att infria deras två största kunders, Atlas Copco Secoroc och Sandvik Mining and Construction, önskemål om en leveransprecision på 95% och en ledtid på tre dagar för storvolymprodukter av bergborrstål. Idag är leveransprecisionen tillfredsställande medan ledtiden är fem dagar. Examensarbetets syfte är att analysera vad som krävs för att infria Atlas Copco Secoroc's och Sandvik Mining and Constructions önskemål om tre dagars ledtid för storvolymprodukter. Ledtidsreduceringen ska åstadkommas med nuvarande skiftform och utan att leveransprecisionen påverkas i negativ riktning.
Incidenthantering i molnmiljö
Incident response plans are faced with new challenges as organisations expands to the cloud, this thesis aims to highlight these challenges and their potential solutions. Our work has focused on managing the incident response in contrast to earlier work that has been focusing on preventing them.As with any development, security is seldom prioritized. Instead the focus are often aimed towards usability and functionality, which means incident response plans are written, implemented, forgotten and finally becomes obsolete. This could result in an organization losing their ability to produce acceptable forensic images, avoid severe downtime, or prevent similar incidents in the future, which are all important parts of incident response.Traditional incident response plans does not address incidents in the cloud. Thus, an absence of guidelines for managing incidents in the cloud becomes apparent.

Högtrycket-Initierande undersökning av nytt limträmaterial
The present study examines a new production line of glue-laminated wood (glulam). The glulam is produced from non-planed boards of spruce, which also is convex, that is pressed together with high pressure during the gluing. According to a economic calculation, the material has a economical potential mainly on account of the absent planning. The study mainly found out that the shear strength of the material tolerated the demanded values in standard SS-EN 386, but the delaminating values did not. Since there are more areas to be studied around the material, the prospect to achieve the right delamination values is seen as positive..

This degree project has been carried out by Carolina Rapp and Jenny Tauson, students at Innovation and Design Engineer program at the Faculty of Technology and science at Karlstad University. The project was carried during Spring of 2009 and took 15 weeks of full time work. Doppelmayr/Garaventa Group is an Austria/Switzerland corporate group and its associated company Doppelmayr Scandinavia lies in Sunne, Sweden. Doppelmayr/Garaventa Group is the world quality and technology leader in ropeway engineering. The degree project goal was to develop a new shaping of a surface lift. There are two kinds of surface lifts, platter and T-bars. The two kinds of surface lifts have some variation in design but only minor differences.

Projektbeskrivning: Bakgrund: Vid valsning av tunna band med hög hållfasthet används reversibla mångvalsarsverk. Kundkraven är höga vad gäller bandens planhet. Planheten kan styras genom de planhetsställdon som valsverket är utrustat med. Syfte: Förvärva kunskap om hur de olika ställdonen inverkar på planheten. Varje enskilt ställdons inverkan på planheten kan undersökas genom att genomföra en föreskriven förändring av ställdonets läge och därefter utvärdera planhetsförändringen som uppkom.

Stereoskopisk 3D-film : En studie om tittarens upplevelse av 3D-film
Since the release of Avatar in 2009, the 3D movie industry has experienced an apparent growth. Almost all blockbuster movies are being released in 3D at the cinema, but the 3D format has been met with mixed opinions by the consumers. Some argue that 3D is the future, while others believe that the 2D format is enough for an appreciated movie experience. Through a qualitative survey, twenty participants with 3DTV in their homes answered questions regarding their experience of 3D movies and what improvements they desire. We suggest that 3D film creates immersion, realism and effects that 2D films can´t handle.

Bakgrund: Hydroware Elevation Technology AB är ett företag som är specialiserat på och har lång erfarenhet av styr- och drivteknik för hydrauliska hissar. Företagets huvudsakliga fokus är att bygga om befintliga hissar men det erbjuder även nyproduktion. Denna uppsats fokuserar på Hydrowares tyska marknad och utgår från företagets förutsättningar och önskemål för att komma fram till ett förslag till lokalisering av ett nytt DC för just denna marknad.Syfte: Syftet med denna uppsats är att undersöka hur Hydrowares inleverans av material och distribution av hydrauliska hissar för försäljning på den tyska marknaden fungerar för att kunna identifiera hur det kan fungera bättre. Vidare är syftet att med hjälp av tyngdpunktsmetoden identifiera förläggningsplatsen för Hydrowares DC för den tyska marknaden. Slutligen är syftet att ta reda på var Hydroware ska förlägga sitt DC för den tyska marknaden med hänsyn tagen till såväl påverkningsbara faktorer som tyngdpunktsmetodens utfall, vilka kommer att behandlas i uppsatsens teoriavsnitt.Metod: Denna uppsats är en fallstudie som har genomförts på Hydroware.

Samband mellan virulensgener och VTEC-infektioner : Riskklassificeringssystem för VTEC
To curb greenhouse gases and mitigate climate change is one of the biggest challenges human society face today. Carbon dioxide (CO2) has accumulated rapidly in the atmosphere as a consequence of burning of fossil fuels and deforestation. The aim of this study is to explore two methods to store carbon dioxide in geological formations and biological sinks. The aim is also to discuss the two mitigation options from a sustainable perspective and whether it can lead to a better environment and benefits for local and global societies. The research questions are: Which method to store carbon dioxide, geological or biological, is the most effective? Which method to store carbon dioxide, geological or biological, has the greatest potential to promote sustainable development for local communities?The method used is a comparative case study and presents four case studies that explore the potential for CO2 storage offshore in Norway and Brazil; and in tropical forests in Mexico and Brazil.
