The objective of this thesis is to examine the capital structure of Swedish small and medium sized enterprises (SMEs). Accounting data from Swedish game developers, combined with the result from a survey, is used to examine their financial conditions and capital structure decisions. We find that non-debt tax shield, firm size, growth opportunities and age are, to various extents, the determinants of capital structure in the game industry, while effective tax rate and asset structure have marginal effects. Our study also implicates that most of the existing capital structure theories can explain SMEs leverage decisions to some extent; however, some adaptation is needed to fit these theories into the SME context. Partiuppsättningsmodeller används mer och mer inom opinionsforskningen för att underlättaförståelsen och förklaringar av väljarbeteende. Tidigare modeller, som den populära partiidentifikationsmodellen,har visat sig alltmer oanvändbara i främst västeuropeisk politisk kontext, främstp.g.a. större väljarrörlighet och mer individualiserade röstningsmönster. Partiuppsättningsmodellenkan grovt delas in i två steg; 1) partiuppsättning, där en väljare valt ut ett eller flertal partierhon eller han kan tänka sig att rösta på och 2) partival, det slutgiltiga valet av ett parti som perdefinition ingått i partiuppsättningen.Uppsatsen lägger fokus på steg 1) och hur man kan mäta vilka partier en väljare väljer mellan.Jag utgår från datamaterial från 2010 års e-panel, en kampanjpanel som genomförs inom ramenför Valforskningsprogrammet på Statsvetenskapliga institutionen vid Göteborgs Universitet.Tre olika mått på partiuppsättningar ? affektion, trolighet och övervägande ? jämförs med främstdeskriptiva medel.

Lättviktsskivor till möbelindustrin har varit ett omskrivet tema i olika branschtidningar den sista tiden.Detta examensarbete beskriver och undersöker en ny konstruktion av en lättviktsskiva i massivt trä.Lättviktsskivan är uppbyggd som en sandwichkonstruktion i tre skikt. Ytskikten består av 6 mm tjockalimfogar och kärnmaterialet av profilerade distanser. Materialet är furu och lättviktsskivan har endensitet på 320 kg/m3 vid 39 mm tjocklek. Utifrån kontakter med utvalda tillverkare och användare avskivmaterial, samt genom tester, har denna konstruktion granskas och förslag på förbättringar har tagitsfram. Den ursprungliga distansen som var sammansatt av två halvor med centrumhål har ersatts av enmassiv distans med en liknande profilering.

Denna uppsats undersöker eventuella samband mellan kommunens utbildningsresurser, kommun- och elevspecifika bakgrundsfaktorer och elevernas studieresultat genom att skatta en utökad pedagogisk produktionsfunktion. Syftet är att undersöka om resultaten från tidigare studier på främst skol- och elevnivå också får genomslagskraft på kommunnivån, under inverkan från såväl gamla som nya variabler, som inte skattats i en pedagogisk produktionsfunktion förut. En långsiktig och en tid- och kommunspecifik modell skattas med hjälp paneldata över Sveriges kommuner under åren 2000 till 2006. Resultaten visar sig överensstämma med de från tidigare studier på lägre aggregerade nivåer. De flesta av de nytillkomna variablerna visar ingen statistisk signifikans och av de två modeller som skattas så talar mest för den som tar hänsyn till tid- och kommunspecifika faktorer..

The use of vision applications are growing and the demand for integration and connectivity with other industrial automation control devices is increasing. Some businesses that are using vision technology follow US Food and Drugs Administration (FDA) regulation concerning audit trail. This thesis investigates the possibility to use vision technology for counting objects, achieving connectivity and to follow FDAs audit trail regulation. A market survey has been used to select suitable hardware and software to be used in the design of an application that is able to count objects and that uses standard industrial network connection i.e. OPC data access and Microsoft?s .NET components over Ethernet.

In the west part of Trelleborg, on previous farmland a new society is under construction. It is situated right next to the ocean and close to the European freeway. Eight types of villages, all with different kind of architecture will be built in the area, one of them is Torns Village built by Skanska and Ikea. A concept called BoKlok. This specific village consists of twelve houses and five apartment buildings. They are all somewhat classical in their appearance with wooden panel, but at the same time they have a modern touch.

This project report describes a supplement for character creation in a tabletop role-playing game ?Dragons and Demons." The purpose of this project is to improve the character creation for the players? trough the narrative elements such as character?s background story. The applied qualitative methods such as a test panel and a questionnaire were conducted for the evaluation of theories used during character creation and to get feedback on the supplement?s creative value for the players. The aim of the questionnaire was to see how the method for the character creation differs from the regular way of making a character for a tabletop role-playing game and if this idea improves user experience during the tabletop role-playing game.The results of the evaluation are based on answers from novice and experienced players, and conclude that the additional background story creates an insight into the character's past, which makes it easier for novice players to get quick started with character creation.

The vertical electronic excitation energies for the narrow-bandgap polymers LBPF, EP37 and EP62 have been calculated using Density Functional Theory (DFT). Also the vertical excitation energies for the acceptor unit of LBPF have been calculated using the Hartree-Fock (HF), DFT and Coupled Cluster (CC) methods. The calculations cover the visible and infrared wave length region and two strong transitions are obtained, one corresponding to the pi to pi* transition and one corresponding to the pi to Acceptor transition. The excitation energies obtained from DFT are below the corresponding experimental results and attempts have therefore been made to perform bench-marking calculations using a hierarchy of CC methods..

In this Thesis the possibilities of designing a larger building that is very energy efficient in the sense that it would not need a conventional heating system are discussed. Solar radiation transmitted through the windows, internal heat from occupants, lamps and electric appliances inside the building and heat recovered from the ventilation system then have to be sufficient for the heating of the building. This study is of general interest since the property company, Akademiska Hus, plans to use this study as a first step in determining if this technique could be used in the future and thus be worth further investments. A building without a conventional heating system of the size investigated in this project has not yet been built.The energy needed for the heating of the building was simulated using VIP+.The conclusions from the study are that it is possible to build large buildings without any conventional heating system. This could be achieved in many different ways, for example by lowering the inside temperature or by using better windows and heat recovery system with higher efficiency.
