The aim of this thesis is to explore and outline the cataloguing of sound recordings at two main Swedish audiovisual archives, The National Archive of Recorded Sound and Moving Images Statens ljud- och bildarkiv, SLBA and The Grammophone Record Archive of the Swedish Radio Sveriges Radios grammofonarkiv and its data base GAMBA. As non-book, non-printed, material in many ways differs from printed material, the institutions that deal with this kind of material have often developed their own rules for the cataloguing of it. The general codes for cataloguing, AACR2 and KRS, are insufficiently suited for audiovisual material. That is the reason why the IASA Cataloguing Rules, presented in this thesis, have been created. After the presentation of the IASA rules the problems of accounting for important sections of the catalogue record are discussed such as title, statement of respeonsbility, performers, physical description and notes.

Denna avhandling behandlar stegljudet i två trähus på campus i Växjö. Staden lyfts ofta fram som en bra förebild inom miljö- och klimatfrågor. Det kommunala fastighetsbolag som äger, förvaltar och bygger universitetets byggnader är intresserade av dessa frågor när nya hus ska byggas. De två senast byggda husen är byggda med trästomme, som anses vara ett bra miljöval. Framtida hus förväntas även de byggas med trästomme.

The aim of this study was to examine how newly qualified social workers from Linnaeus University in Kalmar feel that the school has prepared them with the professional skills to meet the demands that exist within social work. Social work education is a generalist training that will result in a professional qualification. With a qualitative approach eight newly qualified social workers were interviewed.We used the sociology of knowledge as an overall theoretical approach. We also used experience- based knowledge as a theoretical approach. One of the study's conclusion was that the graduates had difficulty linking theory to practice.

This bachelor thesis aimed to explore, in a qualitative manner, the relationship and the interaction between the hospital welfare officer and the rest of the nursing staff. We chose this subject because we wanted to explain the phenomena of being a medical outsider in the nursing team. Our questions at issue were the following three: How does the hospital welfare officer define his occupational sphere and how do the rest of the nursing staff define it, according to the welfare officer himself? Is the welfare officer's relation to his own professional role and to the rest of the nursing staff affected by where his office is placed - secluded from or within the clinic? How does the welfare officer himself value his profession in relation to the rest of the nursing crew? To answer these questions we interviewed eight welfare officers, placed in two different hospitals. We used three different theories to explain the primary information.

In 1999 the childbearing increased, which in combination with the closure of a number ofpreschools led to the shortage and reduced capacity in available places for youngchildren. The lack of places in preschools has led us to try to find a solution to theproblem and in order to solve the problem we have interviewed personnel of preschoolsin Halmstad. The persons we met were asked to list advantages and disadvantages oftheir preschool and also to come up with innovative solutions and new ideas of how todevelop a satisfactory preschool. This was the basis for us when we drew our drawingsand our main objective was to find a new template for the development of pre-fabricatedpreschools.When drawing a new and modern preschool a number of considerations have to be made,first of all the main objective for the children is play and playtime, a second objective issound reduction and laws about sound reduction. Another consideration is how toconstruct the building and which method to be used, for instance should industrialtechniques be considered and pros and cons be listed.The main disappointment amongst the preschool personnel was that they had noinfluence in the planning stage of the new development of the preschool.

The aim of this study was to investigate a health intervention at a Swedish telecom company, with regards to behavioral, cognitive and somatic stress, experienced health, and absence due to illness. A further aim was to investigate the employees' perceptions regarding the health intervention. Questionnaires were collected from 139 employees at the customer service departments.Results indicated that the health activity bowling to some extent could predict lower behavioral stress. However, the most important predictors of stress and perceived health were lack of meaningfulness and quantitative demands. Lack of meaningfulness was also a predictor of absence due to illness.

One of sociology´s to assess the effects of political decision. According to sociologist Anders Persson the society is changing, and in that change social fear appear. In the reaction of social fear some people are being excluded. In that more narrow frame for normality laws are created that makes some parents and their children ?the other?. Nine years ago the sociologist Eva Kärfve published a book that was very critical to the newborn psychiatrics diagnosing of children as a way of segregating groups in society.

I mitt examensarbete har jag valt att försöka undersöka i vilken utsträckning det i en hemmastudio är möjligt att återskapa ett sound från en professionell inspelningsstudio. Denna fråga är intressant för mig då jag fastnade för hur en produktion lät i ljudbilden. Dels instrumentuppsättningen och deras rytmisering men främst soundet på helheten i mixen. Det kändes luftigt, stort och brett i lyssningsspektrat trots att det inte var så mycket instrument. Jag har alltid velat utveckla min förmåga att skapa och producera musik men har inte tillgång till så mycket kvalitativ utrustning.

Bullying is a significant workplace problem, a fact highlighted both by companies, government and social science. The purpose of this master thesis was to examine if workplace bullying is a result of group processes. This is a theory-based master thesis. A search of literature on bullying, mobbing and harassment was done in a database called ELIN, Electronic Library Information Navigator, connected to Lund University and 414 articles were singled out. The summary of the articles were studied and according to a list of criteria, I choose to study some of the articles in more depth.

It is a well-known fact that textiles and carpets have benign sound-absorbing properties. It is desirable to have quantified values of these properties ? especially for architects and interior designers. They often need to be able to giveaccount for the acoustic properties of their designs at a relatively early stage and sometimes have strict acoustic classifications imposed upon them by their contractor. A product with documented acoustic properties would aid when prescribing interior elements.The purpose of this thesis is to develop a wall-mounted panel in hand-tufted material ? aesthetically pleasing and versatile but also having documented and quantified acoustic properties.

Det övergripande syftet med denna uppsats är att bland patrullerande poliser visa, genom en empirisk undersökning, hur yttre krav på att vara effektiv internaliseras av den enskilda polisen och bidrar till en omtolkning av den egna yrkesrollen.Uppsatsen baserar sig på en kvalitativ studie bestående av sju kvalitativa intervjuer med poliser i yttre tjänst. Undersökningsresultatet analyseras huvudsakligen ur ett struktur/aktörperspektiv, med hjälp av Anthony Giddens och George Herbert Meads teorier.Studien visar att patrullerande poliser i viss utsträckning offrar polisutbildningens legalistiska perspektiv till förmån för arbetslivets krav på effektivitet. Studien visar också att det finns en gemensam uppfattning bland poliserna om att överträdelser av lagen är nödvändiga för att samhället skall kunna fungera. I intervjumaterialet framgår att denna omtolkning av yrkesrollen hör samman med sociala strukturer som omger polisen; allmänhetens förväntningar och gruppens krav på anpassning..

Denna uppsats fokuserar på arbetstrivsel i människobehandlande organisationer, mer specifikt ett autismboende i en större stad i Skåne, med de speciella förhållanden som dessa innebär. Råmaterialet i dessa organisationer utgörs av människor ofta i behov av hjälp och stöd. Tidigare forskning visar på att arbetstrivsel är ett fenomen som har stor betydelse för både individ, grupp och samhälle. Det finns därför en stor vinst i att försöka sätta sig in i de aspekter som bidrar till att stärka respektive hota arbetstrivsel i organisationer. Därmed blir syftet med uppsatsen att undersöka vilka faktorer som bidrar respektive hotar arbetstrivseln på en psykisk påfrestande arbetsplats.En kvalitativ undersökning i form av halvstrukturerade intervjuer genomfördes inom en LSS - verksamhet.

Problem/Bakgrund: Det finns många förändringsstrategier och modeller, recept, för att förändra, men även för att organisera verksamheter. Olika modeller och recept kommer och går. Oftast framställs resultatet i olika termer och något som ofta återkommer är att graden delaktighet har ökat. Kan det vara så att det är graden av delaktighet är en dold mekanism som ligger bakom en lyckad förändring?Syfte: Mitt syfte med den här uppsatsen är att undersöka om det finns ett kausalt orsakssamband mellan betingelserna ledning, ansvar och värdering och händelserna sjukskrivning, personalomsättning och påverka där delaktighet utgör mekanismen som aktiverar förloppet.Slutsatser/Resultat: Det finns ett kausalt orsakssamband mellan betingelsen ledning och händelserna sjukskrivning, upplevd delaktighet och personalomsättning.

Abstract The sociological problem of this C-essay is sociology of emotions. This paper deals with experiences of emotions and work environment for people who work in human service organizations, and has been limited to the profession of recreation leader.The purpose of this paper is to examine how emotions affect the recreation leader?s work. For this we used eight qualitative interviews with recreation leaders from different youth recreation centers. What we have found in this study is that recreation leader?s work includes both positive and negative aspects.

Kronofogdemyndigheterna i Sverige har reducerats i antal från tjugofem till endast tio. Hög grad av stress och sjukfrånvaro är problem som präglat myndigheterna, enligt klimatundersökningar som Riksskatteverket gjort.Syftet med denna studie är att beskriva arbetsmiljön utifrån KFM:s personal på ett kontor i Malmö, för att se hur den ter sig i nuläget. Frågeställningarna som styr uppsatsen är: Hur väl uppfylls KFM:s arbetsmiljömål i Malmö enligt personalen? Hur väl anser personalen att deras kompetens nyttjas i arbetet på KFM?Med kvantitativ metod i form av enkäter, visar resultatet att arbetsmiljömålet uppfylls då flera aspekter av arbetsmiljön anses positiva av personalen. Uppfattningarna om arbetet är positiva trots att alla utsätts för stress och de flesta känner av stress flera gånger i veckan.
