A vivid democracy requires participation from those who live in it, including children. Unlike adults, children have special laws and regulations to ensure them their democratic rights. Librarians? decision on what to buy makes an impact to someone else, which puts the librarian in a hegemonic position. Therefore, the purpose of this bachelor thesis is to, out of the child librarian?s perspective, view children?s participation at the public library in the matter of purchasing literature.

The Employment Protection Act (1982:80; LAS) is one of the cornerstones of the labour law that regulates the relationship between employer and employee. The central rule as stated in 4 § LAS is valid for an indefinite term. LAS is a semi-optional law in accordance with 2 § LAS which facilitates deviation from the central rule.Temporary employment is dealt with in 5 and 6 §§ LAS, regulations and collective bargaining agreements. The purpose of the legislative change on July 12007 was to simplify the use of temporary employment and to make the law more predictable and easier to interpret. The previous law was unnecessarily difficult for the employer to know when to put into practice.

Denna uppsats undersöker hur det fotografiska självporträttet används av ungdomar i tonåren och vilken betydelse det har i skapandet av den egna identiteten. Undersökningen besvarar frågeställningarna: På vilket sätt använder tonåringar den fotografiska bilden som redskap i sitt identitetsskapande? Hur kan fotografiet fungera som hjälpmedel för konstruktionen av självbilden? På vilket sätt väljer man att presentera bilden av sig själv? Hur kan man använda det jag sökande fotografiet i ett didaktiskt sammanhang och vad bör man vara uppmärksam på som pedagog? Insamling av empiriskt material till undersökningen har skett genom inhämtning av visuellt bildmaterial från en community på internet, via kvalitativa intervjuer med en grupp informanter samt via en litteraturstudie. Parallellt med det skrivna arbetet har jag genomfört en undersökande gestaltning på communityn bilddagboken.se. I gestaltningen har jag fotograferat mig själv kontinuerligt samt publicerat bilderna för att inta en betraktad-position.

I vår studie kommer vi att jämföra och analysera elevers språksocialisation i olika skolor.  Undersökningen handlar om hur elever i olika socioekonomiska områden använder sig av språket i olika situationer samt stödet och uppmuntran de får i sitt första språk. Vårt syfte är att jämföra och se om det finns skillnader mellan olika skolor och områden, tanken är att se hur deras flerspråkighet uttrycker sig i klassrummet eller andra situationer när de använder sig av språket. För att nå vårt syfte har vi valt att intervjua flerspråkiga elever på två olika skolar som ligger i två olika socioekonomiska områden. Vi har valt att intervjua 10 elever och valt fem elever från vardera skola.  Det vi tolkat utifrån de resultat vi har fått är att det finns vissa skillnader mellan elevernas syn på deras flerspråkighet i de olika områdena. Skillnaderna är att flerspråkighetens betydelse i områdena är olika då de på ena skolan ser att de kan använda sina kunskaper i många olika situationer i jämförelse med den andra skolan som vi har tolkat anser att deras flerspråkighet är begränsad.

The aim of this review is to evaluate the best way to transport the horse. When it comes to transporting horses there are a number of different types of trailers and trucks that you can choose from today. The most common type of trailer is designed for two horses and the horses are transported facing the direction of travel. Studies has been performed to determine if that is the most advantageous direction for the horse to travel in, in terms of balance and levels of stress. Stress is a widely discussed subject and the definition is not fully developed.

Smallholder farmers in low-income countries face a number of challenges in animal production. Animal husbandry carries great potential in reducing poverty, hunger and gender inequality, but at the same time infectious diseases are prominent threats to farmers? livelihoods and their animals. The objective of this study was to investigate the socioeconomic impact of infectious animal diseases on smallholder farmers in low-income countries, using African swine fever (ASF) in Uganda as an example. The study was conducted in two parts. The first part of the study was questionnaire-based and performed in Gulu district, northern Uganda.

This master thesis is performed at Scania Axles and Gearboxes, a production plant located in Södertälje. Within the plant axles, gearboxes as well as central gears are assembled from components to finished products. All production is conducted on production lines, with a pre-determined rate, which is supplied with components by the material handling department. Since the production quantity and the mix of product variants produced on the production line is customer order-based, the number and type of components needed for production as well as appropriate staffing within the material handling department is difficult to predict. Scania is currently using a number of different resource planning tools for each material handling-department within Axles and Gearboxes to visualize the workload within the departments.

Den här undersökningen handlar om skolpersonals syn på hedersrelaterat förtryck mot barn i åldrarna 7-21 år. Syftet är att belysa vad hedersrelaterat förtryck innebär för skolpersonal och vad skolan gör/kan göra för att motverka det. Undersökningen baserar sig på fem stycken kvalitativa intervjuer av skolkuratorer på förortsgrundskolor och gymnasieskolor i Stockholm. Resultatet analyserades genom hänvisningar till tidigare forskning på området och genom teorin om universella värden, organisationsteori och empowerment. Kuratorerna ser hedersrelaterat våld bland annat som en krock mellan en individuell respektive kollektiv familjesyn.

Today, the morning press is relatively stable, but tendencies show that there?s a decrease amongst regular readers. The extension of this may jeopardize the position of the morning newspapers in the market and several newspapers choose to publish their content on the Internet. An Internet activity is foremost about keeping the position in the market, not to make an economical profit, and to compete at the same terms with free newspapers and news sites.

In light of the coming workforce shortage in Sweden the competition for human capital will be intensified on the market where employers compete in order to attract skilled labor. The competition will be most noticeable in the knowledge-intense industries, where the employees are seen as the companies? most valuable asset. The purpose of this paper is to examine how small knowledge-intensive companies can improve their position in the labor market by using the HR-model People Capability Maturity Model in order to affect their companies' Employer Brand. We take the basis of the theoretical framework in which we examine and identify the key dimensions of the Employer Brand concept and present the People Capability Maturity Model more closely.

Syfte: Att beskriva flickors rökbeteende för att få en bättre förståelse till varför de röker, samt vilka preventiva åtgärder som kan vara av betydelse för att förhindra att flickor börjar röka. Metod: Litteraturstudie. Analys: Innehållsanalys. Resultat: Analysen av artiklarna som togs med i examensarbetet resulterade i två teman: Flickors rökbeteende och Prevention. Det fanns många olika anledningar till varför flickor började röka och till varför de fortsatte röka.

In 2007 Swedish Meats, the dominant Swedish meat-producers cooperative sold its slaughtering and processing industry. The goal of a producer cooperative structure is to create value for members through vertical integration, and to strengthen members? market position. When Swedish Meats sold the slaughtering and processing components, it ceased in some respects to serve the function of a cooperative. This is a lost opportunity for both members and non-members, because Swedish Meats as a functioning cooperative could have exploited its dominant market position to positively effect producer?s prices.

According to ?Fotförbundet" (2012), Overpronation occurs frequently (80 %) in the Western World and furthermore overpronation of calcaneus influences the position of the pelvic and thorax (Fotförbundet, 2012; Behnke, 2008). The aim of this study is to investigate whether or not it is possible to connect overpronation of calcaneus to the problem in the rider?s seat as observed by the instructors of Strömsholm. The study will also investigate if the riders seat problems as noticed by the riding instructors are comparable with the problems found by the analyst during testing. One purpose with the study is to raise the instructors and riders awareness that anatomical deviations in the rider might influence the rider?s position in the saddle. The questions of the study are: - Is it possible to see seat problems in riders with overpronation of calcaneus? - If it is possible to see more seat problems in riders with overpronation of calcaneus, do the instructors in the study considers the seat problems be similar with each other? - If there are seat problems in the study, is it the same according to the instructors and the analyst in human biomechanics? The hypothesis of the study is that overpronation of calcaneus has an effect of the rider?s position in the saddle. The study is conducted as a blind study where the test subjects have been filmed (from knees down) as they walked barefooted and later while riding.

The Energy Performance Certification in Sweden was developed as a tool to achieve the Government's target to reduce Sweden's energy consumption by 20 percent by 2020. The Energy Performance Certificate has previously received some criticism for not fulfilling its purpose. Questions that formed the basis for this report is how the energy performance certification provides support to buyers of single-family houses and if the energy performance improved in terms of reliability. The report begins with a background description that describes how the energy declaration works and some of the findings of previous evaluations and surveys. A survey to investigate the broker's position to energy performance have been conducted as well as interviews with buyers and sellers of houses. An investigation whether the energy performance can vary between different calculation programs, depending on various assumptions made by the energy declarant, has been made.Brokers and sellers have proved negative attitudes towards energy performance, particularly brokers.
