Kulturellt och psykiskt avstånd : En studie om EU:s inre marknad
Objective: The papers objective is to create a deeper understanding for whether or not cultural and psychic distance affects corporate establishments in the EU.Method: The results have been gathered through intense data collection through interviews with ScaniaAB and Business Sweden. There has also been extensive research of 36 different companies and their first establishments in different countries. We have then analyzed the results through cultural and psychic distance and through Uppsala University's internationalization process model.Conclusion: The conclusions of this paper are:Corporate establishment often occurs in neighboring countries because of the similarity to the domestic markets which contribute with a greater security.Since the introduction of the EU single market, corporate establishments have become easier within the single market.The cultural and psychic distance does exist within the EU, however the internal market decreases these distances and the impact on corporate establishments.The market commitment is essential to the corporates survival within the new market.Cultural and psychic distance affects small firms more often since their lack of network and experience.Cultural and psychic distances are two different but related phenomena..

Förskollärarens roll i barns lek : En studie om förskollärares syn på sitt deltagande i barns lek
The purpose of this study is to gain knowledge about how teachers in preschool regard their participation in children's play. Through this study you will get an insight into how teachers' involvement affects children's learning. I have chosen to look at the study from a socio-cultural perspective.The study is based on qualitative interviews with four pre-school teachers.The result shows that teachers believe that it is important to attend in children's play to support, challenge and develop their play. One sees that teachers take different roles based on the needs of the children?s group, such as actively participate in the play, being a supportive teacher, serve as inspiration or to be an observer.

The purpose of this paper is to investigate and analyze the importance of networking and relationships in the music industry. We also want to see whether these factors have any impact on the Swedish music exports.These musings have led to the formulation of the following question; - How can the musiclabels in the music industry make use of networks and relationships to strengthen the Swedish music exports to the U.S. and make it more efficient? Modersmålsundervisning : Lärares syn på modersmålsundervisning och samarbete med modersmålslärare i förskolan och skolan
The aim of the study was to examine Swedish preschool and school teachers views upon mother tongue education and cooperation with mother tongue teachers, research covering both topics are very limited. Data collection method for the study were interviews with three teachers from each type of school. The interviews were then transcribed, summarized, and finally analyzed based on the study's theoretical premises, a socio-cultural perspective, Kumashiros theory of non-oppressive teaching and constructivism. The results of the study showed that all teachers considered mother tongue education as important, but time constraints and workload prevented teachers from desirable development of mother tongue education. As for collaboration between teachers and language teachers, most teachers felt that such a thing does not exist, while those who have experience in this type of collaboration believes that it occurs to a limited extent..

The aim of this paper is to investigate dominant beliefs and approaches to the "cultural entrepreneur" both within a public context, and also among business owners within the cultural field. What happens when ideas and attitudes in the public sector towards culture driven businesses meets the perspective of individual cultural entrepreneurs?This study is based on analysis of political documents about the cultural and creative industries (CCI) from the European union, national level and regional level. Interviews with six business owners in the field of culture and one representative of the Swedish region with the fictive name ?Alma? has been conducted.

This survey examines how a regional archive, Värmland Archives, interprets and works from the departure point of national cultural accessibility goal ?Everyone should have the opportunity to participate in cultural life?. And it is also a comporative study of discourse regarding accessibility between Värmland Archives and some other actors in the archival cultural system. Critical discourse analysis, according to Norman Fairclough, is used as a theory method. A discourse analysis is made on empirical data based on document study and qualitative research interviews. My conclusion is that if the term Accessibility is seen as a focal point the accessibility discourse in the documents of Värmland Archives and of the other actors studied can not be clearly discerned. Värmland Archives´s interpretation of terms regarding accessibility analyzed in the survey, varies among the staff regarding how the archives and its services should be accessible, and what accessibility means in the context of the archives.

Background: The starting point of the thesis is the growing importance of negotiations that serve to establish a relationship between the parties involved as companies? business activities are getting more complex. Purpose: The purpose of the thesis is to find and to analyze which elements are of importance for parties, when creating a successful negotiation with regard to building long-term relationships, and if those elements differ for sales and procurement negotiations in companies with business activities of various kinds. Research method: The study was realized with the help of twelve qualitative interviews. Result: The elements of importance when creating a successful negotiation with regard to building long-term relationships were mainly elements of co-operation and to some extent elements of competition.

Young people of today have a much wider access to information on sex and relationships, and they receive this information from a variety of different sources. This information can sometimes paint a diverse and inconsistent picture. School constitutes one of these sources, and one of the few places were young people can discuss and reflect on these issues together with their peers as well as adults. The purpose of this essay is to gain insight on what adolescents between the age of 15 to 18 think about sex and relationships and their thoughts about sex education in school. It?s a qualitative study based on discussions with adolescents divided in four focus groups, two groups of girls and two groups of boys.
Lönesättande samtal - samspelet mellan medarbetare och ledare
Bakgrunden till studien är mina egna tankar om hur de lönesättande samtalen
inom arbetslivet egentligen fungerar nu när de har blivit alltmer vanliga på
arbetsplatserna. Syftet med studien är dels att undersöka hur kommunikationen
hanteras och upplevs under ett lönesättande samtal av medarbetare respektive
ledare dels att utveckla kunskapen om vilken betydelse kommunikationens
påverkan har för samspelet under det lönesättande samtalet. Studiens
forskningsfråga har varit hur medarbetarna och ledarna upplever samspelet under
samtalet, varför den sociokulturella teorin har använts tillsammans med andra
kommunikativa begrepp och teorier. Studien har av den anledningen haft en
fenomenologisk ansats för att få fram respondenternas subjektiva upplevelser av
samspelet under det lönesättande samtalet. Som metod användes en öppen intervju
med en frågeguide som innehåll ett antal olika teman som de olika
respondenterna själva fick resonera kring.

This report presents the use of questions by both teachers and students in chemistry class. Both students and teachers have been observed during 24 lessons, both theoretical and practical. In addition, interviews have been made with the teachers and the students have answered a questionnaire. The result show that a high number of questions are asked, more than one per minute and that both teachers and students ask the same amount of questions. This contradicts earlier findings were teachers questions dominate.
Vem får bära skulden? : En studie om kunskapsluckor i matematik ur ett socio-politiskt perspektiv
Denna studie tar sin utgångspunkt i den socio-politiska teorin. Fokus ligger på att synliggöra samspelet mellan individer i olika beroendesituationer och maktförhållanden i de svenska (matematik) klassrummen utifrån ett elevperspektiv. Syftet för studien inriktades till en början på att undersöka eventuella kunskapsluckor som leder till ett glapp mellan grundskolan och gymnasiet. Vidare söktes svar på om det sker en skuldbeläggning på grund av dessa eventuella kunskapsluckor och vem som i så fall får bära skulden för dessa. Resultatet visar, bland annat utifrån klassrumsobservationer och fokusgruppsintervjuer med elever, att kunskapsluckor existerar och därmed synliggörs glappet.

The data was collected primarily through semi-?structured interviews.Research findings: Through the study?s interviews and their results is it possible to see that staffing companies in Växjö is working with trust.
