This study discloses the responsibility of social work for the Swedish welfare state respective deacons in the Swedish protestant church, which roll the Swedish protestant church have in the existent welfare and also if deacons experience any expectations and how these expectations in that case are expressed.The aim of this study was to investigate the relationbetween deacons working within the Swedish protestant church and social work, as it appears for professional deacons. The method of investigating the questions raised by the aim of this study has been qualitative analysis of answers derived from six deacons working in different workplaces. The data derived from these interviews was then analysed through the theory of Gösta Esping-Andersen about welfare states and also through background research and earlier science research about the social work within the Swedish protestant church and other social work. The result of the study show that the welfare state in Sweden has the comprehensive responsibility for the citizens. Deacons working within the Swedish protestant church does not have the same responsibility.

We live in a society that has changed rapidly in recent years. The Swedish welfare state identity consisted of structures that had been formed from an emancipatory project. Today, these structures seem to have been erased and replaced by a different form of society. When a society is changing it affects the political, social and economic levels.In this social change Social Democracy seems to have lost its hegemonic position in society and describes itself as standing in a crisis. An effort to modernize the party has therefore begun.

Teori och praktik är två begrepp som inte bör ses skilda åt. Teorin ligger som grund för praktiken och vice versa. Lärarutbildningen på Högskolan Kristianstad ämnar tydliggöra vetenskapens roll i utbildningen samt kopplingen mellan de teoretiska studierna och det praktiska utövandet av yrket, vilket även står i regeringens proposition 1999/2000:136 Den nya lärarutbildningen. Ambitionen är att studenter efter genomgången utbildning ska vara utrustade med ett reflekterande tankesätt och vara beredda på att förändra den skolvärld de möter, inte anamma rådande kultur. Men hur uppfattar lärarstudenterna att detta syfte uppnås? Genom en kvalitativ studie i form av enkäter och intervjuer framgår att kopplingen är otydlig och att studenterna på Högskolan Kristianstad säger sig sakna viktiga delar.

Detta är en kvalitativ studie om tre ungdomar i åldrarna 19-25 år som är arbetslösa och tre som har fått arbete hemmahörande i tre kommuner i Norrbotten. De teoretiska begrepp som används är sociala nätverk, socialt kapital, social uteslutning och anställningstrygghet samt studier av Willis (1983), Bolinder (2006), Piippola (2010) och Håkansson (2011). Syftet med studien är att undersöka ungdomars upplevelse och attityder till arbete, arbetslöshet, utbildning och framtid samt vad finns det för faktorer som leder till arbete.De flesta av informanterna lider av arbetslösheten och de som nyligt erhållit arbete värderar det högt och det kan möjliggöra ett eget boende. De tillfälliga och deltidsarbeten som finns tillgängliga för ungdomar hindrar dock vuxenblivandet och skjuter upp framtida inkomster, föreningsdeltagande och egen familjebildning. Arbetslöshet och låga inkomster gör det svårare att komma in på bostadsmarknaden.

Most companies today use digital media in order to market themselves and to establish good public relations. Detta kommer att göras utifrån Fastighetsmäklarnämndens allmänna råd, huvudkontorens rekommendationer, studenternas erfarenhet av praktiken samt två programansvariga för fastighetsmäklar- respektive fastighetsekonomprogrammet.Metod: Vi har i våra studier använt oss av en kvalitativ metod genom personliga intervjuer, intervjuer över telefon och via mail med både fastighetsmäklarstudenter och huvudkontor. Vi sammanställde och analyserade det insamlade intervjumaterialet och den teori som vi funnit genom litteratur och artiklar.Resultat och slutsats: Det vår studie har visat är att fastighetsmäklarstudenternas praktik i dagens läge saknar hög kvalité i form av en strukturerad uppbyggnad. Huvudkontoren har utformat en mall med rekommendationer för hur praktiken ska genomföras men syftet de har med mallen når uppenbarligen inte ut till kontoren då de flesta väljer att inte ta del av den.

Studien syftar till att undersöka hur socialsekreterare resonerar kring omhändertagande av gravida missbrukare. I studien undersöks även tillämpning av tvångsvårdslagstiftning i förhållande till gravida missbrukare och socialsekreterares förhållningssätt till etiska aspekter när beslut om tvångsvård av gravida missbrukare tas. Studien är kvalitativ och genomförs med hjälp av intervjuer med socialsekreterare och även med hjälp av officiella dokument från olika myndigheter. I studien används teorier som empowerment och företrädarskap av Ole Petter Askheim (2007) och Malcolm Payne (2008), socialarbetares handlingsutrymme av Karin Svensson m.fl. (2008) och etiska koder i socialt arbete av Erik Blennberger (2006).

This thesis concerns the subject of social media in the internal communication, how it can function to improve the communication among the coworkers. Good Old has been the web agency of our case study, through them we have gained understanding of the phenomenon. Media and communication theories and interviews have given us the foundation of the thesis.Our conclusion shows that it is beneficial to use social media internally in the type of company that Good Old is. Society is characterized by patterns of behavior and interaction that is created and recreated inthe interplay between individuality/collectivity and freedom/constraint, thus represents avariety of social issues and social phenomena. One of these phenomena is social supportexchanges and social capital. In order to obtain views on how this might appear in a specificsociety and contribute to the knowledge about social support exchanges and social capital, thisstudy was done with seven families in a village in Nepal. The village and the families gave aview and an example of how it might look in a place where social support exchanges plays acrucial role in this way of living. Through observations and interviews I have tried to make thesocial support exchange areas and meanings visibile.

This thesis sets out to investigate the meaning of ?social sustainability? in a given context.

Accounting firms operate in environments with high competition for graduates and students today expect employers to be present on Facebook and the like. We aim to describe whether two major accounting firms use social media in their graduate recruitment. We chose to do case studies of Grant Thornton and Ernst & Young and how they use social media channels aimed towards graduates. Through a through study of how the two companies communicated through various social media, we concluded that Grant Thornton was significantly better than their larger competitor at social media use. Both companies use Facebook as their main communication channel.

Social movements have long been valuable components of the struggle for a world with true justice. Along with the changing and modernization of society these movements also change, both in their actions as well as in the goals they want to accomplish. Technology is taking a greater part in many aspects of social life, creating new dimensions but also new social divides. This thesis examines how new social movements make themselves visible and affect the world around them through different kinds of networks. For the purpose of this study, we have chosen to study two social movements; the Zapatistas in Mexico, who have become known worldwide for carrying out the first informational revolution, and MoveOn.org, an American grassroots organization that struggles for increased democracy in the US.

Background: People diagnosed with psychosis are often described as introvert, isolated and with little or no ability to create and maintain social relationships. While every angle of a phenomena is valid and important, we believe that the first-person perspective provides the only direct access to the diagnosed persons? feelings and experiences.Aims: The aim of this study is to explore how a few people diagnosed with psychosis describe their experiences of social interaction.Method: This study is conducted in a Grounded Theory manner. An analysis has been performed on interviews made with five individuals, all diagnosed with a psychosis diagnosis.Results: The main result of this study is that the self-image is a core factor in the individuals experiences of, and initiative to, social interaction. The social interactions are linked to the individuals own relation to their diagnosis in a dynamic process where all components affect each other in the creating of the self-image.Conclusion: This study concludes that people diagnosed with psychosis is no different than other people when it comes to dreaming and longing for functional social relationships, but that they have some difficulties in actually finding them due to both social stigma and a poor self-image..

The purpose of this study was to illustrate how professionals, who work with psychosocialproblems among children, look at the impact of social factors on behavior that causes ADHDdiagnosis and at the relationship between social factors and the increased diagnosis that hasoccurred in recent years. To answer our purpose, we chose a qualitative approach byinterviewing six professionals who had different professional affiliations. We analyzed theresults using systems theory and attachment theory. The results showed that the professionalssaw various social factors that influenced the behaviors that cause ADHD diagnosis, particularlytroublesome growing environment and the school environment that requires greater cognitiveability and social skills of children today. They also saw that social factors could have an impacton the increase of diagnoses, particularly that the diagnosis can result in that the understandingchanges and that it is considered easier to get extra support at school with a diagnosis..
