Bara, bara vara "vÀnner" : En explorativ studie av den professionella socialarbetarens anvÀndande av sociala medier inom socialtjÀnsten

The aim of this study was to enlighten social workers experiences of social networks direct influence in Swedish social services, and in which ways those influences are manifested. Some of the issues that are being explored in this study are: The separation of the private sphere and professional duties; boundaries and dual relationships that occurs inside social networks; the use of social networks as a control-instrument in authority exercise towards clients; and social networks arising impact on social work. The empirical material was collected with nine qualitative interviews with social workers stationed at different social service departments in a Swedish municipality. Also one qualitative e-survey was sent out to, and answered by four social workers with a managerial position in the same municipality.The results reveal that several informants have experienced different problematic situations involving clients within the social networks. This study shows that the informants are very restrictive with what information (text and pictures) they publish on their facebook-profiles, because of their position of authority and the awareness of the possibility of always being watched.

En kommunikationsgeting: En kvalitativ studie i hur ett medtech-företag ska anvÀnda sig av sociala medier

Today, social media is used mostly by people in their private life. However, companies are more and more tapping into the area of social media. To this date, mostly B2C companies have been successful in their social media strategies. This qualitative thesis aims to investigate how B2B companies can benefit from using social media as a means to communicate and build relations with their customers. The medtech industry has been chosen as the object of study.Through depth interviews with people in the medtech industry and social media experts, data has been collected in order to answer the questions of (1) how ready customers in the medtech industry are to receive information through social media and (2) how companies can build the best possible social media strategy.

Social konflikt: en sociologisk studie av konflikten pÄ Nordirland

Denna uppsats tar upp Àmnet social konflikt i samband med Nordirlandskonflikten. Syftet med uppsatsen Àr att undersöka huruvida social konflikt kan verka frÀmjande för samhÀllet, samt att titta pÄ de orsaker som gör att konflikten pÄ Nordirland vidmakthÄlls. Emotionellt och psykosocialt vÀlbefinnande hos barn med lÀpp-kÀk-gomspalt och barn med sprÄkstörning. : Ett förÀldraperspektiv.

Children with cleft lip and palate (CLP) and children with specific language impairment (SLI) may be affected emotionally and psychosocially by their disorders. Thus, it is important to investigate the psychosocial risk factors that these children are exposed to. The aim of this study was to examine how parents assess the emotional and psychosocial well-being of children with CLP and children with SLI, and if the two parental groups differ in their assessments using the standardized instrument Child Behaviour Checklist (CBCL). Participants in the study were the parents of ten children with unilateral and bilateral CLP between ages 6;7-9;0 (mean age 7;5) and the parents of 13 children between ages 6;4-8;8 (mean age 7;3) who are attending preschools and schools for children with SLI. These parents were asked to complete the questionnaires CBCL and Child Health Questionnaire (CHQ). The children with CLP had lower scores than the children with SLI in all domains of the CBCL, indicating that these children with CLP had better emotional and psychosocial well-being.

This study examines the opinions of social workers regarding the social networks of people with a substance addiction. The intention was to get a more nuanced understanding of what characterizes a positive or negative social network, as well as which functions different types of social networks serve. Data were collected through qualitative interviews with seven social workers. More specifically the social workers were oriented towards working for social services with clients that struggle with substance abuse. The empirical material has been analyzed with a thematic analysis.

Som en "naturlig" kvinna : en studie om Àldre kvinnor och sexualitet

Syftet med denna studie var att belysa vilka omvÄrdnadsÄtgÀrder vÄrdpersonal pÄ en slutenpsykiatrisk avdelning angav vara av betydelse för patienter med emotionellt instabil personlighetsstörning (EIP). Metod För att svara pÄ syftet i denna studie valdes metoden kvalitativ innehÄllsanalys av halvstrukturerade intervjuer med 6 vÄrdare som arbetade pÄ slutenpsykiatriskavdelning med speciell inriktning mot vÄrd av personer med EIP. Resultat Genom innehÄllsanalys av intervjuerna framkom tre teman med tillhörande subteman. Tema 1: Att hantera utÄtagerande symptom, subteman: Att hantera splitting, Att hantera Ängest, utspel och sjÀlvskada. Tema 2: Att arbeta tillsammans för att nÄ omvÄrdnadsmÄl, subteman: Enhetligt förhÄllningssÀtt, Struktur i omvÄrdnaden.

Möjligtvis stressad? En kvalitativ studie om stress pÄ ekonomiskt bistÄnd, en enhet pÄ SocialtjÀnsten

The purpose of this study was to examine and illustrate whether employed social workers, working with supplementary benefits at a social service office, felt stressed. If so was the case, we wanted to investigate if this stress that they felt had any effect on their clients. This study was based on eight qualitative interviews, of which four was with social workers and four was with clients. For a better understanding of our results we used Karasek & Theorells demand-control-support model.The study reveals that the social workers do feel stressed, but they only do so in periods. They declare that they would like to have more time for their work assignments, the meetings with the clients in particulate.

Social games have become a digital phenomenon over the last few years, affecting a lot of peoples everyday life. This paper focuses on how social games can affect workplace relationships. Through qualitative interviews I investigate how people who play with their colleagues experience the social games and their influence on the social interaction in the workplace. 10 interviews were carried out with people from four different organizations. The findings from these interviews were then put in relation to previous research and existing theories concerning workplace relationships and social games.

Integrationsprocesser bland 6 invandrade japanska personer i Sverige

This research outlines studies about the relationship between social integration process of Japanese immigrants in Sweden and how social media assists in this process. The purpose of this research includes: To find out the reasons of migration to Sweden for six Japanese immigrants, any difficulties that they faced at the beginning of their immigration process and/or any positive qualities that they found in living in Sweden, whether they have accessed social media since they have moved in, if they do so, how the social media has been used and also, whether the social media has had a role to play in contributing to help their social integration process. In addition, it has been considered whether the participants have plans to return to Japan. In Sweden, there is relatively small Japanese migrant population. This social science research paper is the first in Sweden which explores the immigration process of Japanese migrants into Sweden.

En strukturerad preventiv intervention baserad pÄ "Acceptance and Commitment Therapy" för ungdomar med psykisk ohÀlsa : pilottestning av en manualiserad ACT-gruppbehandling

Att hitta preventiva metoder för att motverka ungdomars psykiska ohÀlsa Àr ett angelÀget forskningsomrÄde, bÄde sett till mÀnskligt lidande för individen och ur ett samhÀllsekonomiskt perspektiv. Föreliggande kontrollerade studie, som Àr randomiserad stratifierat för kön avsÄg undersöka om en gruppbaserad ACT-intervention (n=15) kunde vara statistiskt signifikant mer effektiv Àn sedvanligt omhÀndertagande (n=17) av ungdomar med eller i riskzonen för psykisk ohÀlsa. Psykisk ohÀlsa operationaliserades i termer av Ängest, depression, stress, upplevd global livskvalitet, allmÀn psykisk hÀlsa, psykologisk flexibilitet, beteendemÀssigt och emotionellt undvikande, samt medveten nÀrvaro. Resultatet visar att interventionen hade starka positiva effekter pÄ stress, upplevd global livskvalitet och medveten nÀrvaro, samt mÄttliga effekter pÄ allmÀn psykisk hÀlsa, och svaga effekter pÄ depression, Ängest, psykologisk flexibilitet, beteendemÀssigt och emotionellt undvikande. Social kompetens - What?s the point? : En kvalitativ studie om hur begreppet anvÀnds inom bemanningsbranschen.

The term ?social competence? is widely used by organizations in job advertisements, despite the problems of making a unified definition of it. The purpose of this study is to investigate which features the organizations require, why organizations require them and how the assessment is implemented for recruitment. To answer the purpose of this study, eight qualitative interviews conducted with recruiters from four different staffing agencies. Further a literature study was performed to define the concept of ?social competence? and its meaning, in order to later connect this to the result.

En kvalitativ studie av Social Enterprise som fenomen - MotsÀttningar i Social Enterprise bolag bottnar i marknadens bild av socialt företagande

A Social Enterprise is a business that features a mixture of characteristics that originates from the third and private sector. A general conception of Social Enterprises is that they aim to improve social welfare by the use of sustainable business models. The mixture of social and business features has created ambiguity about how to define Social Enterprises. The purpose of this study is to clarify Swedish Social Enterprises as a phenomenon and to examine antagonism that arises from mixing the two different sets of organisational characteristics. This is achieved by conducting a qualitative study of ten Swedish companies that the market considers to be Social Enterprises.
