The purpose of this study is to use a qualitative approach to get an understanding of what is expected of social workers targeted towards women managers in social services. Nine social workers were interviewed. The empirical data was then analyzed on the basis of gender theory. Respondents did not see their supervisor as a manager but more as a social worker with special tasks. Our empirical data indicates that there is a strong belief that men and women possess different properties.

The purpose of this paper is to explore the social worker?s perspective on working for the government as a professional in care of children, in relation to the family's right to self determination. The essay's empirical material is gathered from qualitative, semi-structured interviews with social workers who work with children and youth in communities and districts in Skåne and Stockholm City, Sweden. The analysis was conducted in line with theories of social constructivism. The results and analysis show that the interviewed social workers did not believe that the state has too much power over the citizen.

Bakgrund: Ohälsa ökar idag i Sverige inom flera olika hälsoområden. Sjukdom eller andra hälsorelaterade besvär kan innebära en livsomvälvande situation för många individer. Att uppleva otrygghet och ensamhetskänslor samt avsaknad av stöd och bekräftelse i samband med detta kan bidra till ytterligare ohälsa då vårdpersonalen är påverkade av stress och tidsbrist. Antonovsky betonade vikten av ett salutogent perspektiv för att främja hälsa. Syfte: Att belysa vilka hälsofrämjande effekter hunden har på patienter inom vård och omsorg.

Uppsatsen har för avsikt att klargöra aspekter som finns inom ramen för estetisk verksamhet, ett kärnämne som alla gymnasieelever läser. Kursen har olika inriktningar så som bild, dans, drama, slöjd, musik och ämnar till att utveckla elevernas känslor och tankar i kreativ form. Arbetet är begränsat till att se hur bildämnet, inom estetisk verksamhet, kan påverka elevernas självbild och självkänsla, och hur ämnet kan ämnet kan utrusta dem till att bli de kreativa människor som arbetslivet så ofta efterfrågar. Vidare undersöker uppsatsen hur ämnet kan användas till att uppfostra eleverna till att bli demokratiska samhällsmedlemmar. Forskningen är fokuserad kring fem kvalitativa intervjuer med kvinnor i åldrarna 40-60 år.

The purpose of this study was to examine how some social workers in Sweden describe the social work with unaccompanied children. Emphasis was on the role of culture in social work with the unaccompanied children. I wanted to examine how the social workers describe their view on social work with unaccompanied. I also wanted to examine how the social workers describe their view at their own and the unaccompanied children?s cultural backgrounds influence on the social work with the unaccompanied.

The current research examined whether motives, traditional mass media consumption and individual differences (social activity and political interest) predicted the use of social media among a group of university students in China. In coherence with Uses and Gratifications assumptions the study found that the factors differentially predicted the extent of media use. Information seeking, social interaction and affinity were the main reasons for using social media. There was a negative correlation between television viewing and use of social media, in addition to a negative correlation between information seeking and use of the media. Results further suggest that social media are used to enhance social capital, since student?s being socially active offline, tend to use the media to a greater extent than those less active..

Den här uppsatsen syftar till att ta reda på om det finns något samband mellan social kompetens och stress. I uppsatsen presenteras vad social kompetens är och vad stress är. Sambandet har undersökts med hjälp av enkät med 16 slutna frågor, 8 som handlar om social kompetens och 8 som handlar om stress och en öppen fråga på slutet. Urvalet, som var ett bekvämlighetsurval, var 60 anställda på olika arbetsplatser i Karlskrona, av dem erhölls 52 svar. Med hjälp av en Pearsonkorrelation och en fenomenologisk analys visade det sig att det finns ett samband mellan social kompetens och stress..

The aim of this study was to look at introduction for staff in a social service office and the social workers experience off the first period at a new workplace. Qualitative interviews have been used as a method of investigating how social workers look at introduction in the workplace and how social workers have experience the first period at the workplace. The empirical material have been analysed by using the theory of Human Service Organizations, street-lever bureaucracy theory and theory concerning work environment. This papers first chapter presents the methodological preferences, the second chapter the theoretical perspective and the results of the study are presented in the third chapter followed by a discussion and ending comments in chapter four. My study showed that introduction is necessary in a complex organisation and could be a way to improve the social workers situation in social service organisations..

I detta arbete rapporteras hur vanligt det är att gymnasieelever har social fobi. Utöver detta beskrivs även den hjälp elever med social fobi erbjuds i skolan samt hur lärare bemöter dessa elever. För formulering och utvärdering av enkäterna har den inom psykiatrin använda definitionen av social fobi, DSM-IV, använts. Andelen gymnasieelever med social fobi uppskattas till 16,5 %. Utöver dessa elever med social fobi känner drygt 20 % oro och obehag vid sociala situationer utan att uppnå kriteriet för social fobi.

Bakgrund. På akutmottagningen är flödet av patienter stort och möten mellan sjuksköterskor och patienter är korta och tidspressade. Det primära för patienter på en akutmottagning är att sjuksköterskan vet vad som ska göras. Omvårdnad kan delas upp i två kategorier: instrumentell omvårdnad och emotionell omvårdnad. För att agera med omvårdnad, måste sjuksköterskan dels ha ett omhändertagande med teknisk kompetens och samtidigt stödja patientens emotionella behov.

In the age group 16-25 years, the Internet is the most powerful source of information. This age group is also the main user of social media. The purpose of this study was to investigate young people's experience of social media and any associations between social media and adolescents health by answering the questions: ?how does young people use social media?, ?what risks can occur in young people's use of social media? and ?how can social media influence young people's lifestyles?. The survey was conducted by a quantitative cross-sectional study using questionnaires.

Mitt syfte är att beskriva olika föreställningar om samverkan mellan musik och matematik samt erfarenheter och resultat av sådan samverkan i pedagogisk verksamhet. Studien är en litteratur-studie över ST Math + Music. Jag har även intervjuat två lärare på en svensk skola. Jag har be-skrivit samverkan genom överspridningseffekter, musikens inneboende matematik och undervis-ning i matematik med hjälp av musik. Resultaten tyder på att det finns såväl föreställningar om som erfarenheter av att integrering av musik och matematik kan ha en gynnsam inverkan när det gäller matematisk förståelse..

Jag ville undersöka attityder för att få ett underlag att fundera på om eleverna lär sig mer på VA än på andra timmar. Jag tänkte att om eleverna tycker VA är bra så får detta också bra studieresultat, men nu när jag tagit del av tidigare forskning och sett hur elever moti-verar sina uppfattningar så tycker jag inte ens att jag får stöd för slutsatsen att de som jobbar mer lär sig mer. Min positiva bild av VA har fått sig en törn. Är det kanske så att elever behöver lärarledd styrning för att lyckas bra i skolan? Är det kanske först då som vi ger samtliga elever en ärlig chans till samma kunskapsinhämtning?Är Utim överhuvudtaget något som man ska satsa på, eller ska man ha en tydligare styr-ning uppifrån om vad de olika ämnena ska innehålla för att eleverna ska nå målen?.

This study examines the connection between social capital and involvement within voluntary associations; involvement is defined either as being a member in an association or a member who has some kind of assignment in an association. The study also examines if there is a difference between two social economic groups regarding the attainment and transformation of social capital through being involved in a voluntary association.Social capital is defined as social trust and the willingness of collective action.The result of the research shows there is a slight connection between the involvement in voluntary associations and social capital. It shows that people who are members of a voluntary association often have higher social capital than those who are not members of any voluntary association at all. The study also shows that there is a difference in attainment of social capital between those who have some kind of assignment in a voluntary association and general members.When studying social capital and involvement in voluntary associations it is also of interest to take social class into the analysis, because the study shows that people with a lower education had increased social capital when they were members in an association compared to the members with a higher education..

The purpose of our study is to describe and understand whether, and if so, how social workers in school and in social services construct computer gaming adolescents as a social problem. We chose social workers who encounter adolescents with different problems. We have conducted qualitative interviews with vignettes to capture the social workers' reasoning about computer gaming adolescents and how they handle this in their work. The study shows that all social workers we interviewed had encountered adolescents with troubling computer gaming habits. In the study, all agree that computer gaming becomes a problem when it leads to deviant behaviour such as not going to school, staying up all night and so on.
