GrishÀlsan inom KRAV-certifierad produktion har förÀndrats det senaste Ärtiondet och besiktningsstatistik utmÀrks numera av fler ledanmÀrkningar, lunginflammationer och leverskador orsakade av parasiter. Detta i kombination med en markant ökad smÄgrisdödlighet Àr bekymrande eftersom det strider mot den ökade vÀlfÀrd som KRAV efterstrÀvar och konsumenterna efterfrÄgar. NÀr djurvÀlfÀrd diskuteras mÄste man dock notera att detta Àr ett brett och svÄrbedömt begrepp som kan definieras pÄ olika sÀtt. Idag talas det framför allt om tre synsÀtt som utgÄr antingen frÄn djurets kÀnslor, dess hÀlsa och funktion eller hur naturligt det lever. KRAV-grisar fÄr genom djurhÄllningen utlopp för fler naturliga beteenden och dÀrmed ökat vÀlbefinnande men nÀr man ska vÀga detta mot den ökade ohÀlsan blir det svÄrt att avgöra vad som Àr viktigast. Det har dock utvecklats ett antal mÀtsystem för djurvÀlfÀrd som inkluderar flera kriterier.

Denna uppsats unders?ker hur inf?randet av metrobussar (Bus Rapid Transit, BRT) kan f?r?ndra motortrafikledernas roll inom G?teborgsregionens kollektivtrafiksystem, omfattande G?teborg, M?lndal och Partille (GMP). Syftet ?r att belysa planerares perspektiv p? metrobussarnas potential att fr?mja en h?llbar transportinfrastruktur. I en tid d?r h?llbara transportalternativ blir allt viktigare, utforskar studien hur metrobussar kan integreras i regionens befintliga system.

Detta examensarbete redovisar hÄllbarhetsanalys av tvÄ nybyggda hyresbostÀder. I studien stÀlls Àven frÄgan om analysen Àr möjlig att anvÀndas som ett rÄdgivande underlag för kommande bostadsprojekt.Inom ekologisk hÄllbarhet genomförs en studie av koldioxidekvivalenter i stommens material och i brukarfasen av energiförbrukningen. Inom social hÄllbarhet analyseras en enkÀt dÀr boende i husen ger sin syn pÄ husen. Inom den ekonomiska hÄllbarheten anvÀnds en översiktlig berÀkning av livscykelkostnad (LCC).Studien visar att husens material spelar roll för hur mycket koldioxidekvivalenter som ingÄr i husets stomme, med rekommendationen att noga analysera kommande projekt i avsikt att om möjligt minska utslÀpp av vÀxthusgaser. I brukarfasen rekommenderas att se över möjligheten att komplettera uppvÀrmning av varmvatten genom solenergi.

The Swedish government has proposed that 20 % of the cultivated land in Sweden should be organic by the year 2010 (The Swedish Board of Agriculture, 2008). In addition to this the production of organic food like milk, meat and egg should increase considerably. To reach the government?s goal it is necessary that the Swedish farmers get motivated to convert their production from conventional to organic. Milko is a dairy association that has chosen to focus on organic products, they want to be the leading organic dairy association, and therefore they have a large need for organic milk (Milko, 2008).

Idag finns ett vĂ€xande engagemang för hĂ„llbar dagvattenhantering. Ämnet Ă€r högaktuellt dĂ„ vi stĂ„r inför klimatförĂ€ndringar med fler skyfall och ökad nederbörd. Vi har ett stort ansvar att skapa en hĂ„llbar planering av vĂ„ra stĂ€der för att sĂ€kerstĂ€lla en god framtida livsmiljö för dagens och kommande generationer. Syftet med uppsatsen var att, genom litteraturstudier och intervjuer, undersöka hur Stockholms Stad arbetar för en hĂ„llbar dagvattenhantering, med fokus pĂ„ ekologisk dagvattenhantering (ED) genom styrande dokument. ED innefattas av en kombination av lokala Ă„tgĂ€rder och öppna dagvattenanlĂ€ggningar för att fördröja, minska och rena dagvattnet pĂ„ naturlig vĂ€g.

Syftet med uppsatsen Àr att bredda kunskapen om social konsekvensbeskrivning samt att undersöka dess potentiella effekt pÄ social hÄllbarhet, eftersom det Àr av största vikt att hitta konkreta arbetssÀtt för att uppnÄ ökad social hÄllbarhet. Genom en litteraturstudie undersöks i uppsatsens första del vad begreppet social konsekvensbeskrivning har för bakgrund, varför det föresprÄkas, hur en metod för genomförande skulle kunna se ut samt vilka utmaningar som finns. I uppsatsens andra del studeras tre artiklar som utvÀrderat effekten av att utföra social konsekvensbeskrivning. Litteraturstudiet resulterar i slutsatsen att social konsekvensbeskrivning har stor effekt pÄ social hÄllbarhet, pÄ flera olika sÀtt. Trots att metoden medför en hel del komplexa frÄgor att förhÄlla sig till finns det dÀrmed god anledning att utveckla arbetet med social konsekvensbeskrivning, för att vi tillsammans ska nÄ en mer socialt hÄllbar framtid..

The intension of this study is to investigate the interaction between teachers and social workers in two diffrent countys. The study is focused on how teachers act upon suspicions when there are children at risk and what kind of support the teacher gets from social workers. Another importent question is if the teachers know what kind of rules regarding to confidentiality and if it would be better for the pupils if there were no confidentiality.To get answers to my questions, i have interviewed teachers and social workers in both countys.In this study I assume that the power has three dimensions and that there are four levels of interaction.Due to the law about confidentiality the social worker has the power over the teachers. Because the law about confidentiality it is difficult for teachers and social workers to interact.If the teacher want help from social services, she or he must call the social worker because the social worker will not call the teacher. If the social worker want to help the teacher and give her advice, the social worker can do that without breaking confidentiality.

This study has a double purpose. First, it explores and maps out the use of quantitative key indicators in social performance reporting within a microfinance portfolio. This was done on behalf of Storebrand Asset Management, who would like to aggregate and report the social results of their microfinance investments to their customers. The study concludes that the extent of social reporting and types of indicators used varies, meaning that it is hard to aggregate data for use in further reporting. Thus, the work towards the goal of social reporting has only just begun.

I wrote this essay with the aim to explore, understand and get some insights into what it is that effects the possibilities to plan for ecological sustainability and make it happen. There is no clear definition of sustainable development but world top meetings and reports have developed goals and strategies. I will present some of the theory at hand but most of this essay is based on six interviews with planners at local governments from around the country. Several of the local governments are using the goals issued by the state government by putting them into their large scale plans. During the interviews some obstacles were identified, like a lack of resourses, disadvantaging powerstruktures, conflicts with marketeconomy and simply different meenings about what ecological sustainability is in practice. My method of getting information through interviews and documenting them by taking notes had, as all methods, it?s weakneses.

The purpose of this thesis is to examine how social workers perceive the concept of knowledge within social services, particularly within children and youth services. Our goal is also to study the employer's expectations and demands on graduate social workers. The main questions we address in this thesis are; What knowledge is seen as useful by employers and graduate social workers working in social welfare offices? To what extent does university education bring useful knowledge to the work being done by social workers? What practical knowledge is there in the workplace for social workers to learn? When recruiting, what expectations does the employer have of graduate social workers? What challenges are there with recruiting a graduate social worker?We have interviewed six social workers and four employers in the social childcare division in different municipalities in SkÄne region, Sweden. We have used epistemology in our analysis.

AbstractThe aim off this study is to research social workersÂŽ knowledge, use, risks and possibilities of social media in their work with clients. Because today the society is using social media networks in daily life and social media has become a tool in social work as well. How does social media and social work cooperate? And how does social media effect social workers? For example the website Facebook has grown huge and many people use it everyday. Where is the line between work and private life? To reach this knowledge in this study, qualitative interviews have been done with six social workers that work with children, youths and families.

This B.Sc. Thesis examines how Swedish Large Cap companies communicate CSR in social media. We describe the current state of CSR communication in four different social media channels, Twitter, Youtube, Facebook, and blogs. This research, supported by interviews with stakeholders and a quantitative survey, analyses the potential risks and benefits from communicating CSR via social media and provides concrete advice on the development of a CSR communication strategy for social media. Although some benefits have been realized, many companies have failed to truly reap the potential benefits from an effective social media strategy for CSR.

The main purpose of this study was to examine own and social influence on perfectionismwith individual athletes. The participants (n= 96) of this study represented ten different sportsand their ages was between 15 and 44. An interview with four of the participant wasconducted. The instruments used for this study was the Positive and Negative PerfectionismScale (Terry-Short et al., 1995) and for the interviews questions was based on own and socialinfluence. The results showed that there was a relationship between positive perfectionismand own influence, negative perfectionism and own influence, negative perfectionism andsocial influence.

Today the school is a given place for preventing social problems. The school struggles continuously to live up to the expectations of balancing preventive social work with pedagogy in a satisfactory way.The purpose of this essay is to get a picture of priorities of social work in school. I want to know what it is that affects and controls the principal's decision about what kind of social project they will accept and be a part of.This essay shows that only one of the eleven principals interviewed apply projects based on evidence when they decide about participation in a social project. Instead, the decisions are based on references from other schools. The reason why the principals do not base their judgement on projects which are based on evidence is because they consider the search for results too time consuming.When there is no requirement that a certain part of the social work in a school must be based on evidence, it leads to the children taking part in different social projects which we can not guarantee are good for them.One solution can be to guide the principals through a national social teachingplan, which can assure that social work based on evidence are being applied in the municipality schools as well as the independent schools..
