Marknadsföring, relationer och nätverk hos forskningsbibliotek - en beskrivning och analys
The major aim of the thesis is to describe the networks, relations and marketing of some university libraries and their customers in the year 2000. I illustrate how these issues interact and whether they have changed due to the recent development of technology and if so, how. The thesis is based on interviews with two directors of libraries and two librarians at two different libraries. A small survey with 16 questionnaires has also been performed in order to get a more general view on librarians' opinions in these questions. The thesis mainly shows that the networks in which the respondents take part primarily exist in the library sphere and towards the universities.

On December 20, 2001, the Swedish citizen Mehdi Ghezali was captured on the border between Afghanistan and Pakistan. Ghezali spent the following 930 days in U.S. captivity, without being charged with any crime. My aim in this essay is to analyze how Ghezali was portrayed in three Swedish newspapers under and after his captivity, two nationwide and one local newspaper based in Ghezali's hometown. My purpose is to see whether Ghezali's identity is constructed differently in the three newspapers, as regards The Other, Stereotypization, etc.

Digital marketing has been changing continuously and rapidly since the introduction of Web2.0 ten years ago (Lin, Li, Deng, & Lee, 2013). Companies are now engaging their users intheir digital marketing by providing with interactive contents in digital campaigns. The digitalcampaigns are getting more converge with SNS (social networking sites) in order to let the usershare the content with others and therefore the e-WOM (electronic word of mouth) helps thecompanies digital campaigns to be shared by more users (Moran, Muzellec, & Nolan, 2014).The interactive content in the digital campaigns have shown to provide for engaged users andtherefore leads to loyal users. The reason for this has its roots in the culture of consumptionthat has brought our everyday consumption to a whole new level where we no longer justconsumes a product, we are the brand (Davis, 2013).The study, Click here for solidarity, aims to explain the interactive phases and rhetorical elementsthat companies use to engage the user to interact with the content of the digital campaigns.The study is based on four digital campaigns in four different market areas in order to providewith an overall picture of how companies work with interactive and rhetorical elements. Thusthe study falls into the area of marketing and branding.

The aim of this thesis was to look to the organization of people through social media and the Internet. Our study was conducted with a current event in focus. We began our study by examine the protests that had arisen as a result of that the American proposed law called "Stop Online Piracy Act" (SOPA)was presented. With our main focus on SOPA we began to investigate those discussions and debates that during a limited period of time were conducted on a large social news site, Reddit.com, which is a form of social media. We focused on the way that people expressed themselves over social mediawhen it comes to political issues and also whether or not Internet activism can have an effect in the society.

This c-level essay examines Sweden?s municipalities? tourist sites in web development in relation to web 2.0. The study?s main purpose is to give a general overview of how Swedish municipalities use the web as a communication channel for their tourism information. The study also examines differences between large and small municipalities, because smaller enterprises have different conditions than larger enterprisers.

Litteraturen innehåller tre olika områden över hur företag enligt teorin bör agera i de socialamedierna. De tre områden som litteraturen resulterade i var den sociala webben, kommunikationoch marknadsföring. Syftet med undersökningen har varit att utreda på vilket sätt de teoretisktfastslagna områdena relaterar till användarnas upplevelse av områdena. Syftet utreds genom enfallstudie där Nordea har varit undersökningens studieobjekt och sociala medier representerats avFacebook. Syftet resulterade i följande huvudfrågeställning: Hur förhåller sig Nordeas Facebooksidasaktiva användare till Nordeas medverkan på Facebook? Undersökningens empiri samladesin genom en kvantitativ metod som ämnade svara på frågeställningen.

Kandidatarbetet undersöker och diskuterar frågeställningen "Vilket socialt
ansvar har jag som grafisk formgivare i skapandet av skönhetsidealen?".
Kandidatarbetet fokuserar på att skapa en diskussion kring ämnet skönhetsideal,
hur dessa påverkar unga kvinnor samt vilka möjligheter det finns för att bryta
samhällsnormer och göra en förändring, en större skillnad.
Utifrån mitt forskringsresultatet kring skönhetshistorian och dess utveckling
under åren,
har jag skapat en produktion i form av modeillustrationer.
Jag tycker inte att samhället inser hur kraftfullt påverkade vi har blivit av
media och modebranschen under de senaste åren. Även de som inte är intresserade
av mode och skönhet. Vi som jobbar inom medie- och reklambranschen är den
tredje statsmakten.

Yttrandefrihet eller utrikespolitik? : En diskursanalys av Muhammedkarikatyrerna i svensk dagspress
The aim of this study is to analyze the discussion on the publication of twelve caricatures of the prophet Muhammad, in two Swedish newspapers ? Dagens Nyheter and Sydsvenska Dagbladet. The caricatures were originally published in the Danish newspaper Jyllands-Posten, in September 2005. Even though the violent protests and attacks against Danish interests gained major media attention in Sweden few ? if any ? major Swedish newspapers published the caricatures.Using Fairclough?s Critical Discourse Analysis (CDA), a theory and a method that critically examines the relationship between text, the discourse practice in which text is produced and consumed, and the wider social practice, this study examines why Swedish newspapers chose not to publish any caricatures.The study concludes that the relationship between orders of discourse continuously affect, and is also affected by, Swedish media content.

We are living in network society, where information and communication together with the technical development stands in the centre. Characteristic for network society is quick changes, new meaning of time and space, convergence and new possibilities of communication. Network society contains new technical developments, several with thepurpose to improve the possibilities of communication between human beings, which in some ways creates new social demands and expectations. In this study, I focus on the Internet, which is an important channel for the information, communication and marketing in network society. As whole network society, the Internet is constantly developing.This study, implemented with qualitative interviews, has the purpose to give new, deep and interesting knowledge about business to business companies? communication and marketing on the Internet.
?Hela våran uppväxt har liksom blivit offentlig? : En kvalitativ studie kring hur en grupp gymnasieelever ser på sitt eget och andras identitetsskapande i förhållande till media.
Syfte: Syftet med denna studie är att undersöka hur en grupp gymnasieelever ser på sitt eget och andras identitetsskapande i förhållande till media. Frågeställningar:? Vilken inverkan anser deltagarna att media har på deras sociala kön och kroppsuppfattning?? Ser deltagarna någon skillnad på hur killar och tjejer förhåller sig till media i sitt identitetskapande?? Vad anser deltagarna att de normer och ideal som media förmedlar innebär för derasidentitetsskapande? Sammanfattning:Vår datainsamlingsmetod har bestått av två kvalitativa gruppintervjuer som genomförts på gymnasieskolor med deltagare som går sitt tredje år. Vid analysen av den insamlade empirin har vår teoretiska utgångspunkt varit Socialkonstruktionism och fenomenologin vår förståelsegrund. Vid analysen har vi använt oss utav IPA ? metoden.

The purpose was to describehow a person strategically can proceed to build an identity on the internet toget benefits in the job seeking process in the media industry and to describethe importance of the digital identity in the recruitment process in a smallertown. We?ve used a qualitative approach and made eight interviews withrecruiters from the media and also people who have built a digital identity.We?ve used Bauman?s theory about consumer society, Montoya?s eight lawsof personal branding and also theories about profiling, and communicationsplanning to analyze the material.

?Corporate Social Responsibility?- Ansvarstagande i praktiken : En studie om hur H&M, Lindex & KappAhl säger sig arbeta med socialt ansvar
Background: The global responsibility for multinational companies is a current matter of subject. Now when the world increasingly is getting globalized, economic growth is created, which brings a bigger demand of responsibility on companies. The leading companies from every industry is often becoming the frame for how the production process works and is therefore exposed to outer pressure which, for example, is coming from consumers and the media. Since consumers at present are more aware of what they are buying and where it comes from, it is important that the companies take social responsibility. We have therefore studied three big companies within the clothing industry to see in witch way they are taking their social responsibility.Purpose: Our purpose was to explore how companies within the clothing industry describe their work with Corporate Social Responsibility, code of conducts and where the incentive behind this work is coming from.Method: We have, through a qualitative study, examined how three large companies work with Corporate Social Responsibility.
Below-the-line : En fallstudie av små företags tillämpning av marknadskommunikation med fokus på below-the-line metoder
This study aims to research how small companies that operate on the Swedish home electronic-market utilize marketing communications to communicate their message. The focus of this study has been to research these companies use of below-the-line activities in their marketing communications. Interviews have been conducted with representatives from each of the three companies Neonode, Jens of Sweden and Tonium, that compose the selection from the population in this study. The use of below-the-line activities in small companies is mainly motivated by lower cost, which suit small company budgets. Below-the-line activities are also used for branding and the creation of credibility among the consumers when the target audience does not yet know the brand.
