The main purpose of the study was to analyse the well being of children placed in foster care for at least two years, in one sample municipality. An assessment was made of how the social service admistrated and took responsibility for these children in terms of schooling, physical and mental health. To further understand the situation of the children three areas of investigation were added concerning; teenage pregnancy, the mental health and mortality of the biological parents. To receive answers to those questions a qualitative interview method was used, with structured questions to social workers working with foster care. The author also studied journal notes and child investigations to receive a more comprehensive picture.

This master thesis is based on a general issue of quality in social services. I have chosen to illustrate through an empirical case, namely the position social responsibility coordinator and shortened SAS.This position is fairly new to the Swedish social services and has the overall mandate to monitor, develop and ensure quality.To study this, I have developed two analytic schemes. One is based on the concept of quality value components, the second is based on the concept of quality character components. These analytical schemes are used as the presented material. When I study mycase, I have used two methods, documents and questionnaires.In this study I will try to describe how new solutions to improve the quality of social services can conform and develop.

Den här studien syftar till ett belysa och problematisera kring antropologins närmande av det militära sammanhanget. 2007 utformade USA:s armé en plattform som skulle koordinera och hantera civil kompetens inom områdena antropologi och statsvetenskap. Ämnen som på olika sätt analyserar den ?mänskliga terrängen?. Konceptet ?Human Terrain System? lanserades där akademiker från samhällsvetenskaperna fick söka sig till den militära kontexten för att hjälpa militära beslutsfattare att förstå kulturen, de socioekonomiska förhållandena och religionens roll mm.Hur förhåller sig antropologer till Human Terrain System? Vilka perspektiv finns på antropologin som en del i en militär kontext? Genom att svara på dessa frågeställningar belyses olika resonemang på den tillämpbara antropologin i en militär kontext utifrån den rådande etiska debatten som återfinns inom disciplinen.Implementerandet av antropologiska kunskaper i en den militära kontexten har föranlett till en debatt inom den antropologiska disciplinen.

It used to be a demand that Social workers and personnel at Child and adolescence psychiatry had interdisciplinary collaboration, today it is more then a demand it is a requirement. The aim of this study was to understand how the personnel at the Social services and Child and adolescence psychiatry look at the cooperation between the two organizations in Sweden.To be able to accomplish this study we have interviewed four persons employed at the Social services and three persons employed at Child- and adolescencepsychiatry all of them were interviewed individually. To be able to analyze our material from the interviews we have used new institutional organization theory and Goffmans dramaturgic perspective at teams. The interviews showed that there is collaboration between the organizations on all levels, but that the organizations have different priorities.

The main purpose is to illuminate how a company links certain values to its brand in an effort to achieve a competitive position. We have done this by studying the government owned company Svenska Spel and its entrance on the netpokermarket. With Corporate Social Responsibility as a guidance for the company they wanted to offer Swedish gamblers an alternative to the, often morally dubious, international actors. Our thesis has taken an internal (corporate) as well as an external (consumer) perspective on the result of this strive. Our conclusions are that although Svenska Spel is successfully integrating social responsibility into their netpokerbusiness, they are facing a difficulty in making the consumer fully appreciate it.

Syftet med denna studie är att ta reda på det sociala arbete som sker i församlingar i Svenska kyrkan, med fokus på det diakonala arbetet. Frågeställningarna som ligger till grund för studien är:? Hur ser diakonernas sociala arbete generellt ut? ? Vilka är grunderna för det diakonala arbetets utformning? ? Vilka faktorer präglar arbetet; församlingens geografiska kontext, Svenska kyrkans riktlinjer, diakonernas tro, diakonernas egna intressen, etc? Metoden för att studera detta är kvalitativa intervjuer med sju olika diakoner, som arbetar i olika församlingar, med en spridning av den ekonomiska situationen i församlingen och bland dess medlemmar. För att analysera intervjuerna har ad hoc-modellen använts. Genom att göra jämförelser och se vilka mönster som finns har ett resultat framkommit.Resultat i studien är det bedrivs ett stort socialt arbete i församlingarna.

Denna undersökning syftar till att undersöka några lärares syn på social kompetens och hur de arbetar med det. Enligt forskning har akademisk kompetens och social kompetens en ömsesidig påverkan på utvecklandet av varandra. Forskningen är dock övervägande till fördel för att social kompetens är en förutsättning för lärande. Detta utgår även läroplanen från i och med dess prägling av det sociokulturella perspektivet. Sex lärare intervjuades angående deras syn på begreppet, hur de arbetar med det och vilken betydelse det har för lärandet.

Det huvudsakliga syftet med min uppsats var att läsa Brott och straff (1866) i en kristen teologisk kontext, där jag ville undersöka om de två trosinriktningarna i romanen förenades eller inte. Jag tog min utgångspunkt i att Raskolnikov gav uttryck för föreställningar inom Gud-är-död-teologin med betoning på Simone Weil och William Hamilton, och att Sonja gav uttryck för föreställningar inom den rysk-ortodoxa teologin.Vidare formulerade jag frågan: Kan man läsa Brott och straff som en egen gren inom kristen teologi? Jag tog hjälp av identitetsrekonstruktion som metod, med fokus på Ruard Ganzevoorts användning av termen.Resultatet är att man faktiskt kan läsa Brott och straff som en egen gren inom kristen teologi. Både Raskolnikov och Sonja har fått något i utbyte av varandra och sålunda rekonstruerat sina tidigare övertygelser och trosuppfattningar. Raskolnikovs identitet, som tidigare präglades av en övermänniskoteori och föreställningen om att Gud kanske inte finns, har påverkats av mötet med Sonja och övergett sina tidigare trosuppfattningar.

The purpose of this study is to describe the All inclusive concept and to what extent it can be described as sustainable from economic, social and environmental aspects. The empirical study is based mainly on qualitative interviews with four respondents. Two of the informants find the All inclusive concept to be sustainable while the other two are critical to the concept. Men are considered to have advantages in female-dominated professions because of their unique and desirable abilities. This paper aims to adress men's underpresentation in the female-dominated social work profession. The purpose is to explore the attitudes and experiences of men working in a minority group.

In recent years, more and more people have started to live double lives. Blogs, Facebook, YouTube and Twitter have created conditions so that we increasingly live virtual lives on the Internet. The gathering of people in this way entails both risks and opportunities for businesses. This study aims to explain how the phenomenon of social media has affected trade and service companies in a marketing and communication perspective. The idea for the essay came to us after we had observed how different behaviors in companies? concerning social media could vary a lot, and how we felt that this affected our personal view of the brands.

The aim of this study is to examine social workers? experiences of how the ADHD-diagnosis affects their work with children and youths living in foster care and how it affects the individuals and families themselves. The study is built upon five qualitative interviews and the results are analyzed through a theoretical framework that constitutes ADHD as not only the symptoms and the medical disorder but also as a social phenomenon where the disorder is socially constructed by the current society, norms, and knowledge. The study shows that the social workers? do not rely on the sole ADHD-diagnosis in the understanding and guidance of the children and their foster parents, but rather see the individual needs of each children.

This study sought to explore the juvenile crime prevention in Sweden which for the purpose of this report is seen as efforts towards preventing youth criminality and all forms of anti social behaviour by young people.In the study, interviews with six social workers working directly or indirectly with young offenders were conducted. The interview results were analyzed and subjected to transnational comparison with the practice in Kenya. The report explores existing literature on situational crime prevention, restorative justice, the link between drugs and crime, attachment to parents, peers and involvement in convectional activities, gender differences in criminality, partnerships in crime prevention and the juvenile justice system. It uses control, strain, feminist and social disorganization theories to explain the causes of delinquency, analyzes the perceptions of social workers and discusses what works in juvenile crime prevention. The report identifies the causes of delinquency in Kenya and in Sweden as well as the prevention programs that social workers perceive as effective in addressing youth crime.

AbstractIT can facilitate communication among individuals and connect people across geographical distances. On the contrary, citizens of the society who do not use communication technologies to some extent might feel excluded from the information society. As elderly citizens are already in a vulnerable position for the digital divide, communication technology becomes an important tool for interacting with friends and family. The social situation of elderly, 60 years of age and older, is a topic of current interest since they are the fastest growing age group in the world today. Further, social interaction becomes more important among elderly since it has a positive effect on well- being.

Den ökade konkurrensen som skapats under det senaste århundradet har gett upphov till att företag försöker finna vägar för att stärka och bibehålla sin ställning på marknaden. Lean har med åren blivit ett framgångsrikt ledningssystem som spridit sig från Japan och bilindustrin till övriga världen och till andra sektorer. Implementeringsmöjligheterna har diskuterats och analyserats i ett flertal artiklar som beaktar implementeringsprocessen och dess problematik. Den här uppsatsen syftar till att undersöka skillnader och likheter i framgångsfaktorer vid en Lean-implementering, som identifierats i teorin, inom ett detaljhandelsföretag i en svensk kontext. Omfattningen har begränsats för att få en fördjupad förståelse för problematiken kring implementering, därmed saknar studien generaliserbarhet. Studien är utformad som en kvalitativ fallstudie och empirin har inhämtats med hjälp av semistrukturerade intervjuer.
