The purpose of this study was to examine how modern information and communication technology influence collective action within the framework of social movements. By studying the protests in the Arab World 2011, and focusing on the social movements in Suleimanya in northern Iraq, by observation taken on place, the essay discusses that collective action is closely related to the use of technology, for example cell phones and Internet.Result shows that modern communication technology has enabled immeasurable access andconnection between individuals throughout the world, which seems to be different from previouscollective action. The new communication channels in the form of social media, has been used for the dissemination of information and news, documentation, organization and membership recruitment in the social movements in the Arab World and Suleimanya. The purpose of this article is to examine how social workers may experience fear in their profession, how they and their organizations handle the fear and how the fear may affect their practice. To obtain the purpose, in-depth interviews were carried out with seven social workers from the southeastern part of Sweden. The experiences of fear were many and are summarized in four categories. Fear of treats and violence, fear of the responsibility in complicated situations and without optimal solution, fear of being regarded and judged as worthless and fear of being scrutinized with the risk of being stigmatized. The aim of this study was to examine the relations between sense of coherence (SOC), perceived social support and mood, the study also included gender and civil status in the analysis. In the analysis mood was the dependent variable. The study included 81 respondents, all students from Växjö university, who answered a survey with three parts: SOC 13, Mood Adjective Checklist (MACL), and an own constructed instrument that measured perceived social support. The result showed that those with a high SOC tended to have a greater mood. High scores on perceived social support also were related to a greater mood.

Undersökningen är riktat mot vårdanställda och reseledare då tidigare undersökning påvisat samband mellan social trötthet och reseledare. Undersökningen är av en kvantitativ metod i form av en enkät. Denna enkät skickades ut till sammanlagt 110 personer i service branschen (vårdanställda och reseledare).

Syftet med denna uppsats är att beskriva militärmusiken och den kommunala musikskolans framväxt dels på ett nationellt och dels på ett lokalt plan och hur dessa verksamheters vägar har korsats. Frågeställningarna är om militärmusiken har påverkat den kommunala musikskolans utveckling och om så är fallet vilka faktorer som har påverkat detta. Jag stöder mina antaganden på den tyske social- och personlighetspsykologen Kurt Lewins kraftfältsteori och ser de bägge verksamheterna som två fält. Det var svårt att hitta källor till detta arbete och jag har därför använt mig av två intervjuer i kombination med litteratur och arkivmaterial för att få svar på mina frågor. Det visar sig att många av de anställda militärmusikerna initialt tog timlärarjobb på kommunala musikskolan och därigenom påverkade utvecklingen positivt genom att ta med sig sin kompetens därifrån..

Uppsatsen undersöker empiriskt orsaker till de e-tjänster som utvecklas av kommuner. Metodologiskt gemomförs studien med en kvalitativ fallstudie av ett samarbete mellan ett antal kommuner, där syftet är att samverka kring e-tjänsteutveckling. De teoretiska utgångspunkterna för studien är hämtade från förvaltningsteoretiska idealmodeller och en skola kallad Social Shaping of Technology, vilket är en teori som fokuserar på sociala omständigheters påverkan av och på teknikutveckling. The purpose of this paper is to find more understanding for pupils in compensatory educational situations and get an idea about how they place themselves in the social hierarchy. In my study I have interviewed four pupils with different experiences from school with the common denominator of being placed in a special class during some hours of the week. The purpose of this placement is to get them to achieve better results in various subjects depending on their grade but this also means a social separation from friends in the ordinary class and this doesn't correspond well with the democratic idea of "one school for all".What I found was that these pupils categorize themselves different from each other and while two of the pupils find themselves very included in the school's social network the remaining two had problems functioning satisfactory in a social matter according to their own liking. The feeling of exclusion though can not be connected to their participation in the special class but rather to their earlier social experiences..

This study explores the different effects on attitude and behaviour three frequently used advertising techniques have. The techniques compared are social influence and egoistic and altruistic benefit-appeals. The results showed that ads featuring social influence had statistically significant higher mean values regarding attitude towards the ad compared to both the other ads, and significantly higher mean values regarding brand attitude compared to the ad appealing to egoistic motivations. Though, all advertising effectiveness measures used in this study - that is, attitude and intention variables - indicated that social influence was more effective than the other advertising messages.
