Syftet med denna undersökning är att ta reda på huruvida generaliseringar om kön påverkar uppfattningen om texter. 1979 gjordes en undersökning som visade att en och samma text blev mottagen på olika sätt beroende på vem som sades vara textens källa. Genom att upprepa 1979 års undersökning ämnar denna uppsats att ta reda på om det har skett någon förändring gällande generaliseringarna sedan dess, samt att vidare diskutera orsaker samt eventuella risker med detta. Undersökningen 2008 kan konstatera försämrade eller oförändrade resultat för den kvinnliga källan gällande samtliga egenskaper, medan den kan påvisa förbättringar för den manliga. Det går dock att diskutera det faktum att det i mitt material finns tendenser till att skillnaderna i resultaten mellan den kvinnliga källan och den manliga tycks ha minskat..

The purpose of this study was to examine how social work professionals view their professional role and how they think about the concept of social work. I also wanted to investigate what they believe characterize a professional social work. For the purposes of this study, I chose a qualitative approach in which I interviewed five people linked to the social work. The theories which I have assumed in the analysis of the results are power theory, organization theory and professional theory. The results of this study show that the respondents believe that a professional social work is performed by someone who has training and experience in the field.

The first vampire film I ever saw was Interview with a vampire. ?I haven?t been human for two hundred years?, opened up not only the film, but a whole new world I knew nothing about. The world, as it were, opened its doors to me again after I had seen the film adaption of Stephenie Meyers Twilight. Sverige har senaste året drabbats av två händelser som delvis omformat den politiska diskursen kring politiskt motiverat våld. Olika aktörer har använt sig av olika metoder för att ta kontroll över meningstillskrivningen kopplad till dessa händelser. Det som är intressant och som går igenom alla dessa metoder är språkets roll och funktion att göra sådana fält meningsfulla, det vill säga representera det sociala, politiska, kulturella och ekonomiska. Genom en diskursteoretisk metod har den nuvarande studien försökt besvara frågor om hur social och politisk identitet formuleras i en diskursiv ram i det virtuella rummet. Viktiga analytiska frågor har bland annat varit hur det virtuella rummet konstitueras genom diskursiva praktiker och vilka diskursiva strategier som används för att producera kollektiv identitet.

The purpose of this study was to enlighten the views of male social work students on; the social work profession, social work status and their career options. Also, the study aimed at getting these students angles of approach on the fact that they, being men, are a minority group within the profession of social work. Some of the main questions were: Why does not social work as a profession seem to attract men? What about the status of the profession of social work? What were the thoughts of male social work students about this? What advantages or disadvantages did they recognise, being a minority in the profession? The method used in this study was doing separate interviews. All of the interviewed students were convinced that they had a better chance of getting a job.

In Sweden the social assistance from a historical perspective, has been a part of the social legislation, since the 18th century. In that time called poor relief. Through the centuries this has established the social assistance we have today. With focus on the child, we have attempted to illustrate how the social workers consider the child perspective when they are dealing with the social assistance.
