The system tungsten-oxygen has potential of being suitable for decorative coatings since ceramic coatings are often hard and wear resistant, and since modulations in oxygen content or incorporation of small ions could give bright colours. The aim of this report was to investigate the relationship between process parameters and  the properties of the films, with the wear resistance being of special interest.Samples with tungsten to oxygen ratios in the range of 100:0 to 25:75 at% were made using reactive sputter deposition, either with constant gas flow, or gas flow controlled by optical emission of the plasma. The hysteresis of the system, which means that a certain gas flow will cause different pressure and/or target voltage depending on in what way the flow is reached, makes it interesting to control the process where the system makes the steep change from metallic tungsten to ceramic tungsten oxide. This is difficult and thus requires precise control equipment.The samples were analysed using X-ray diffraction, X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy and an empirical wear test suitable for small components like cell phone cover for example, in order to characterize the structure, composition and wear resistance of the coatings. The results could be divided into three groups: (I) tungsten-like, with very low oxygen content; (II) mixed phase and (III) tungsten oxide like, with oxygen content close to 75 at%.

Ett typiskt användningsområde för denna typ av förpackningar är inom sjukvård för transport av läkemedel, organ och andra biologiska produkter.Problemet som denna rapport behandlar är att ta fram en sådan förpackning för hingstsperma som skulle kunna skickas med posten. Sperman behövde först kylas ned från rumstemperatur till 5°C under tio timmar innan den skulle hållas vid denna temperatur i ytterligare 24 timmar. För att lösa detta användes en kombination av isolering och fasomvandlingsmaterial vars egenskap att lagra energi gör att en konstant temperatur kan hållas under en längre tid.

De senaste åren har skolsköterskans roll förändrats till att fokusera på att främja hälsa, i vilket det ingår att stödja barn med behov av särskilt stöd. Syftet med studien var att beskriva skolsköterskors upplevelse av att stödja barn med särskilda behov i grundskolan. Datainsamling gjordes genom semistrukturerade intervjuer med sju skolsköterskor. Tematisk innehållsanalys användes för att analysera intervjutexten och resulterade i två teman: Att uppmärksamma barnen på deras villkor och Att vid varje möte alltid vara närvarande. Temat: Att uppmärksamma barnen på deras villkor hade två kategorier: Att arbeta för alla barns hälsa och lika värde; Att samarbeta för att stödja alla barn att nå sina mål.

The background for this degree thesis is a need to replace the existing seal used to protect equipment containing secret or sensitive equipment used by Swedish Defence. The target design should satisfy both the need for tamper evidence and reduce Life Cycle Cost. In developing a new design for a seal, additional benefits such as improved logistics support and indication of attack methods such as heat and solvents have been considered.The lack of guiding principles for end users of seals became evident during the interviews. Major concerns for the future are education of users, information about actions if a seal is broken and user liability.The design work was divided into several phases. A feasibility study was performed including investigation of theory of labels, materials and possible technologies.

The amount of cargo has since the 1970s increased in Sweden and the road traffic accounts for a large part of the transported volume. In Stockholm County the amount of cargo is calculated to be doubled in size from year 2001 to 2020 which means a greater need for transport is required. Much of these transports are being carried out by haulage companies of varying sizes which acts externally as carriers for their customers. All of this despite a greater awareness, laws and demands regarding environmental performance.The trend shows that the haulage industry in Sweden are moving towards fewer but larger haulage companies, which means that the competition is getting tougher for the smaller haulage companies. Smaller haulage companies and research about their competitive strategies is a neglected part of this industry.

The transformation of the Swedish Armed Forces is bringing about major changes in many areas. Indirect fire is one capability affected by these changes. Financial savings, a shrinking organization and higher eligibility requirements mean that fewer soldiers will gain access to exclusive high-tech support resources such as the JAS 39 Gripen aircraft and the ARCHER artillery system. This thesis aims to examine whether access to indirect fire capability can be increased through the use of civilian products and communication networks. Technology development in the civilian mobile communications area is exponential and nations such as the USA, facing challenges similar to those of the Swedish Armed Forces, devote substantial resources to research and development.

This places very high demands on the technology used and it is important that it function and develops to meet current and future growing needs.

Biogas mainly consists of methane and carbon dioxide, where methane is theenergy-rich gas, and is naturally created when organic matter breaks down in absenceof oxygen, also known as anaerobic digestion. A biogas plant re-creates the anaerobicconditions inside a digester where the organic substrate is fed into and digests toproduce biogas. The gas is then used to produce energy by combustion and can beseen as a completely renewable fuel.Today, energy from biogas is used primarily by major stakeholders such asmunicipalities and thus the plants become very large with high investment- andconstruction costs. There are currently few small plants in Sweden, even though thepotential for agriculture and medium-sized to smaller farms to become self-sufficientin terms of electricity and heat is great. Farms have a natural stock of digestibleorganic material in form of manure or crops for example, which are constantlyavailable.

Detta examensarbete har gjorts på uppdrag av, och i samarbete med Getinge Sterilization. Syftet med detta projekt har varit att ta fram en lösning som gör vagnarna i SMART-vagnsserien mer lättmanövrerade, då användare idag upplever dessa som svårmanövrerade. Handtaget och vagnens hjulkonfiguration identifierades som de faktorer som främst påverkar vagnarnas manövreringsförmåga. Arbetet riktades därför in på att ta fram ett nytt handtag och en ny hjulkonfiguration som löser manövreringsproblemet. Tillsammans med Getinge togs därefter en kravprofil fram med krav och önskemål för de nya lösningarna.I ett första skede togs en rad principlösningar fram på tänkbara lösningar till problemet i form av enklare skisser.

This makes it hard for both manufacturers and resellers to gain market shares and reach reasonable profit margins only by selling products. Therefore Swecon who is reseller for Volvo Construction Equipment tries to find alternative methods and ways to increase their profit. An alternative source of income could be to develop the range of services that are connected to the ground products.PurposeThe purpose of the thesis is to examine how Swecon in southern Sweden can improve their offers of existing services connected to the ground product and investigate the demand of new such services.MethodThis study is based on a qualitative study of five of Swecons local offices and five of Swecons customers. The empirical framework is mostly based on personal interviews but in some cases information was retrieved by using phone interviews.

Forskning kring reflektion, metakognition, värdering och bedömning kopplas som centrala element till portfolioarbetet.Studiens teoretiska utgångspunkt är den fenomenografiska forskningsansatsen och som metod har använts en halvstrukturerad intervjuform. Undersökningsgruppen innefattar nio elever i år 5- 6, samt fem pedagoger.Resultatet visar på kvalitativa skillnader i uppfattningar av vilket lärande som utvecklas hos elever genom portfolioarbete.

För att komma fram till ett svar har kvalitativa intervjuer gjorts med pedagoger. Det finns olika synsätt på och olika definitioner av religion, vilket litteraturen visar i uppsatsen. Litteraturen fastställer också att det finns olika utövanden i en och samma religion. Ninian Smart (1989) menar att för att förstå en religion krävs det även att man studerar hur religionen praktiseras av människorna. Uppsatsen behandlar även litteratur om hur skolans roll ser ut. Birger Lendahls (1986) anser att förståelse kan erhållas vid möten mellan elever och människor från olika religioner.
