Energimätning och övervakning kan bidra till minskad energiförbrukning genom att hjälpa en användare att ta beslut över energianvändandet. Valet av examensarbete gjordes p.g.a. behovet att ge användarna möjlighet att påverka sin energiförbrukning och övervaka sina elprodukter. Ett koncept togs fram där toppvärden på spänning och ström, effektfaktor, spänning-ens vågform, aktiv, reaktiv och skenbar effekt mättes. Samtliga värden skickades till en server som lagrade informationen och innehöll en hem-sida för presentation.

The present study deals with the scope of action available to a social worker when analyzing, assessing and proposing measures regarding young persons experiencing social problems. The interest in the subject area emanates from the fact that the number of youth placed in different forms of round the clock out-of-home care in Sweden increases, whereas research in the subject shows that such placement gives few positive results and sometimes even has negative consequences for their development.The study investigates how the preconditions of the social worker influence their scope of possible action, in particular as regards their place of work, the situation of the individual dealt with, and the profession itself being one based both on scientific evidence and knowledge gained by experience. Lipsky?s theory on ?street-level bureaucracy? and Hasenfelds theory on human servicing organizations form the theoretical framework of the present study. The empirical input comes from interviews with focus groups of active social workers.The analysis of the interviews shows that social workers generally feel that they have a broad scope of action as far as the regulatory framework and office management are concerned.

Aim: To investigate if physical exercise in combination with coaching will reduce pain and improve knee function in patients with mild to moderate osteoarthritis in the knee compared to physical exercise alone.Method: The study consisted of 42 patients who were randomized to either an intervention group or a control group. Both groups followed a standardized training program at home, but the intervention group received additional support with regard to the aim of their training, as well as extra coaching during the training period of ten weeks. A Visual Analog Scale (VAS) was used to evaluate the patients? pain. A 10 metre walking test, the Index of Muscle Function (IMF) and the Knee injury and Osteoarthritis Outcome Score (KOOS) were also used to evaluate knee function.

Do the principals who have the pedagogical responsibility of the school find reading comprehension important? This is the underpinning of my thesis for the special teacher-training program. The survey was conducted through interviews with two principals. The results show that they believe reading comprehension is important but it has not been given priority in the organization. Effektiv kommunikation är oftast inte en av de starka sidorna hos veterinärer. 4 av 5 klagomålhos ansvarsnämnden handlar om missförstånd eller bristande engagemang.Syftet med den här studien är att undersöka hur skickligt veterinären kommunicerar sinrådgivning till mjölkföretagaren.Fem konkreta rådgivningssituationer med fem veterinärer utvärderades. Samtliga hadegenomgått Svensk Mjölks kurs ?Hälsopaket Mjölk?. Samtalen spelades in och analyseradesmed avseende på struktur, LSF (lyssna, summera, fortsätta ställa frågor), mål enligt SMART,öppna eller slutna frågor och balans i samtalet.Veterinärerna i undersökningen vet vad de i teorin bör göra för att använda effektivkommunikation, men de praktiserar inte detta i den grad de kunde göra.

In the current study, the aim was to investigate whether tail posture and motion can be an indicator of the emotional state of pigs and if the tail posture of the pig is affected by social breeding value (SBV), coping style and/or housing. Emotional state can be defined in two dimensions: valence and arousal. Two batches of 96 finishing pigs were studied in a one generation selection experiment with a 2x2 set up and were housed in a barren or straw bedded pen. In each pen, 6 pigs (3 male, 3 female) were housed. A back-test was done to determine the coping style of the pigs with two categories; high resister and low resister pigs.

A market survey has been used to select suitable hardware and software to be used in the design of an application that is able to count objects and that uses standard industrial network connection i.e. OPC data access and Microsoft?s .NET components over Ethernet.

Målet med detta examensarbete var att skapa ett program som ska detektera kanterna på brädor med en smart senor för att optimera fräslinjerna, vilket senare kommer att leda till minskat virkesspill. Men för att detta ska gå att göra krävs det att den smarta sensorn genomgår en kalibrering för att bl.a. omvandla mätpunkter till mm. I samband med kalibreringen behöver en utgångsposition bestämmas för att kunna säkerhetsställa att fräslinjerna hamnar rätt. Programmet ska även ha ett grafiskt användargränssnitt för att underlätta ändringar av inställningar och för att kunna beskåda brädan i en topografisk bild baserad på höjddata från den smarta sensorn.
