Bakgrund: Tidigare präglades vården utifrån ett synsätt, där vårdgivaren styrde över vården. Detta synsätt har successivt övergått till att patienten bör vara mer delaktig och fatta egna beslut. Information påverkar även graden av delaktighet och förmågan att fatta beslut självständigt. Patientens delaktighet i vården styrks i patientlagen och sjuksköterskan har ett ansvar att bjuda in patienten till delaktighet. Syftet: Att beskriva patientens upplevelser av delaktighet i vården.

Syftet med studien var att undersöka patientupplevelsen vid behandling med sömnapnéskena hos patienter med diagnosen obstruktiv sömnapné utförda i allmän tandvårdspraxis. Studien genomfördes som en tvärsnittsundersökning i en av de större regionerna i Sverige, region Skåne. Undersökningen var retrospektiv i sin design och bestod av en enkät sänd till de patienter med en verifierad obstruktiv sömnapné som fått sin odontologiska behandling som ett led i sjukdomsbehandling. Behandlingen skulle ha pågått minst 6 månader. Enkäten skickades ut till 1148 patienter, varav 738 svarade (64 %).

The purpose of this study was to describe patients? experiences when living with a venous leg ulcer in physical, psychological and social perspectives. The articles used to describe this condition were found in the databases: PubMed and Cinahl. Ten articles were included in the result: five with a qualitative approach, two with a quantitative approach and three with both qualitative and quantitative approaches. The results were presented through three headings: physical, psychological and social.

In this essay I have investigated how two families, with children, who have food allergies, experience what support and what treatment they get in preschool for their difficulties. I have interviewed two children and two parents. The study shows that the interviewed parents believe that more knowledge in the community and among staff in preschool, about food allergies, is needed. Parents wish that the staff should write an action plan that describes how to deal with children who have food allergies and that preschool invites parents and children to record results. It is important to consider an inclusive attitude so that children don?t feels excluded.There is some research going on around this subject and researchers agree that the incidence of food allergies in the society is growing, but that it is difficult to be able to present a certain theory why, and what the underlying factors are.

Sömnen är livsviktig för alla människor eftersom det är den tid då kroppen återhämtar sig och behovet av sömn blir därför speciellt viktigt vid sjukdom. Forskning har visat att sjukhusmiljön inte alltid är optimal för att främja sömn, något som vi själva också upplevt under kliniska studier. Syftet med studien var att klargöra vilken betydelse sömn har och hur sömnen kan förstås i relation till hälsa och välbefinnande för patienten i sjukhusmiljön. Studien är en begreppsanalys där sömn har sökts och analyserats i lexikon, vetenskapliga artiklar och facklitteratur. Resultatet visar att sömnen är den tid då kroppen samlar kraft och immunförsvaret byggs upp.

Länsförsäkringar in Värmland, Sweden, had during the year 2003 a total level of 6.1 percent of people on the sick-list, which was higher than average in the business (4,5%) and for salaried employees in the private sector (3,3%). The average age of those put on sick-list was 47 years, whish is four years higher than the average for the whole LF-group. The cost for the total amount of people being on sick-list at LF-company (6,1%) was estimated to 1 500 kkr, according to a calculation model coming from Försäkringskassan. For every percent the sick level could be reduced, the company would save 239 kkr. To map out the state of health of each and every collaborator in LF, the company offered all employees to make a health profile at the company's health service, Clarahälsan AB.

BackgroundMigraine is a comprehensive endemic disease who is affecting both women and men, but with higher prevalence among women because of hormonal factors. Risk factors for the disease are female gender, hereditariness, depression and socio-economic factors. Migraine can be triggered by factors like stress, menstruation, irregular routines for sleep and unbalanced meals and diet. Migraine is a condition that causes a big suffering for the affected individuals.AimThe aim of this study was to describe individuals' experiences of how migraine is affecting the daily life, out of the aspects like working life, family life and social life.MethodA literature overview was maintained, and eight qualitative studies and two quantitative studies between the years 2003- 2014 were analyzed.ResultsThe analysis of the articles lead to one main theme; "Guilt, compensating and restrictions" and seven subthemes "Not being able to perform their best", "Met with incomprehension", "Not being able to take care of home and children", "Not enough", "Avoiding activities", "Always be prepared" and "Living with restrictions".ConclusionMigraine is affecting the daily life among these individuals in a great extent. The disease makes it hard to perform well at work.

This report deals with RFID systems and how to detect nearby tags with the Mifare standard using only a microcontroller and an antenna circuit.The aim was to investigate whether there was any possibility to continuously search for a nearby tag for a system operated with batteries without compromising   the lifespan of the battery. At this time the system would take too long time to wake up and look for a tag to give a satisfactory battery lifespan, which should be done a couple of times every second.The report has two issues, namely:Is it possible to direct the microprocessor to detect and identify a nearby tag after the Mifare standard?What hardware is required for this to be possible?As the research method to provide answers to the above questions an action research was used. This approach has meant that the group worked on information retrieval, examined existing solutions, tested their own solutions and documented the results.The group examined an existing solution that can search for nearby tags with minimal energy consumption. An antenna circuit was built that was connected to the processor.

BAKGRUND: Sömn är ett mänskligt behov som behövs för kroppens läkning. Patienterupplever ofta att sömnen inte blir tillfredsställd på sjukhus. Faktorer som uppges ge endålig sömn på sjukhus är miljön, kroppslig och emotionell påverkan hos patienten samtsjuksköterskans arbete. Det är viktigt att sjuksköterskan har kunskaper om åtgärder somfrämjar patienters sömn.SYFTE: Syftet är att beskriva åtgärder som sjuksköterskan kan tillämpa för att främjapatienters sömn på sjukhus.METOD: En litteraturstudie där tio vetenskapliga artiklar analyserades. Datainsamlingenoch analysförfarandet utgick från Fribergs (2006) modell för litteraturöversikter.RESULTAT: Ur analysen framkom fyra teman; beröring, avkoppling genom att lyssna påmusik, reducering av ljud och ljus samt att tillgodose patientens individuella önskemål ochfysiologiska behov.

Workers Educational Association, took part in the great changes of society and in the modernizing process in the period of 1920-1949. The examination is based upon three journals of educational material that were connected with W.E.A. The question at issue is to show how the people behind W.E.A. aimed to educate and indeed educated the workers to modern people and moreso to see how the articles in fact were written and to analyse in what way they turn to the workers and get their attention.

En enkätundersökning sändes ut till tandhygienister (n=79), som arbetade på samtliga Specialistkliniker för Parodontologi i Sverige under maj månad 2005. Syftet var att undersöka vilka faktorer som ansågs vara av betydelse för att uppnå goda och bestående resultat av munhygieninstruktioner hos patienter som behandlas för parodontit, samt vilka faktorer man ansåg försämrade möjligheten att uppnå framgångsrika resultat. Följande faktorer undersöktes; patientfaktorer, instruktionsmetoder, hjälpmedel vid munhygien och vårdmiljö. Resultatet visade att stressituationer hos patienten och återbud till bokade behandlingar var betydande faktorer som försvårade goda och framgångsrika resultat för att uppnå god munhygien. Extremt viktig faktor ansågs tandhälsoinformation vara, speciellt personlig sådan, där tandhygienistens engagemang och även vårdmiljön spelade stor roll.

SUMMARYPrevious research has shown that there is a connection between the doorways and postoperative wound infections. Despite recommendations from Socialstyrelsen and the individual hospitals' PM there is still high traffic in the operating theatres. In a hybrid theatre environment combined X-ray techniques of surgery, resulting in it being further two categories inside the operating theatre. This may generate an increase in traffic flow. The study is a prospective, non-participant observation study conducted in the spring of 2013 at a university hospital in western Sweden.

Introduktion: En god tandhälsa innebär att tänderna och munhålan är fria från smärtaeller obehag, samt att det finns en god tuggfunktion. Tandhälsa är en del av denallmänna hälsan och bidrar till välbefinnande hos människor.Syftet med studien var att undersöka kunskaper om tandhälsa och munhygienvanorhos 16-19- åringar med invandrarbakgrund. Ett ytterligare syfte var att undersökaderas uppfattningar om munhälsa.Material och metod: Studien är empirisk och kvantitativ och utfördes medanvändning av en enkät. Datainsamlingen gjordes vid tre gymnasieskolor i södraSverige. Två klasser från varje gymnasieskola valdes ut som hade högt antal elevermed invandrarbakgrund.

In today?s world urbanisation is an on-going process, cities are growing and becoming denser, and places for recreation gain value. Therefore, urban parks are much appreciated by people living in cities. When the first public parks where planned, their main function was to increase health, hygiene, education and social life. In the middle of 19th century the meaning of public parks to people?s wellbeing gained attention and parks were planned to provide space for lively activities. AbstractThe intention of our study is to examine how the view of homeless people and their life situation looks according to a selection of persons, which in their work get into contact with homeless people. The study is based on a qualitative method that includes interviews.The result of the study is based on interviews with eight persons working in the social services, volunteer organisations, the police and a security organisation. The majority of the persons that have been interviewed are normalising homeless people; they do not look upon them as different. At the same time they have the opinion that homeless people live a tougher life and that they have to fight more for their living than other people. The persons that we have interviewed share the view that homeless people live under a constant pressure of finding a place to sleep.
