Companies that are facing the global market are put in to new challenges in order to streamline its business. One industry that has realized that changes are necessary is the construction industry, it is an industry witch is far behind the development of introducing information technology-tools systems in there business. It has shown there is a relation between high IT usage and high productivity, which is one of the reasons to why companies in the construction industry should purchase a business system especially for procurement. However, companies that have purchased a business system are facing difficulties in having their employees using it for its purpose. People react differently to changes and that?s why variations in quantities exist for usage of information technology-tools.

The functionalism started in southern Europe after world war one and got its breakthrough in Sweden with the Stockholm Exhibition in 1930. Poverty caused many people living in overcrowded conditions which the functionalists wanted to change by using less expensive materials and giving healthier living conditions to the people. The industrialization brought new materials and working methods which made this possible. The Swedish functional style is recognised by its light plaster facing and nearly horizontal roofs. Also the garden design of that time was influenced by the functionalistic ideas. The garden was now introduced as a pleasure garden for not only the rich but for everyone.

The purpose of this thesis is library work in exile, more specifically The Kurdish library in Stockholm (?Kurdiska biblioteket?). The Kurds have a long history of exile, forming a part of their national and cultural identity. I have therefore chosen in the analysis three concepts: nationalism, ethnicity and culture. The Kurdish library is unique and is different from a traditional library in many ways.

Aim: This paper aims to produce a serviced office concept adjusted to Statens fastighetsverk. The concept will make SFV:s properties more attractive for renting. Method: Information has been collected from interviews with 13 different serviced office companies, one serviced office agent and eleven government authorities. Also litterateur, reports and internet have been used in gathering information.I will use following questions:¨      How is the serviced office concept designed?¨      Which customer segment should SFV direct to and what need does the segment have?¨      How shall a marketing plan look like for the concept?¨      How should a concept designed for SFV look like? Result & Conclusions: Serviced office space is a company that letting functional workspace with access to shared facilities e.g. reception, office machines, internet, phone and more.

The purpose of this thesis is to achieve a greater understanding of how the social workers at the family unit in one of Stockholm municipalities comprehend the work environment at the workplace. Our aim is also to find out how the work environment can affect the health of the social workers in the form of their wellbeing and comfort at the workplace. In order to answer our purpose we conducted interviews of all social workers at the family unit in one of Stockholm municipalities that describe how they experience the work-environment in the workplace and how it influences their health.  We have analyzed the interview material in a thematic analysis based on three theoretical perspectives; SOC, claim ? control - support and Human relations. We have also coupled the interview material to the background chapter in this thesis that describes how a good working environment should be structured.  The chosen method characterizes an abductive process.

Informationssäkerhet har idag en viktig roll inom organisationer. Det finns undersökningar som visar på att attacker ökar för varje år. För säkerhetskritiska organisationer som kommuner är det därför viktigt att man har uppdaterad säkerhetsteknik, då man lätt kan falla efter i det snabbt utvecklande ämnet informationsteknik. Uppgiften som gavs av Nexus AB var att kartlägga och utvärdera en kommuns informationssäkerhet. De ville få reda på hur det egentligen låg till med informationssäkerheten i en Stockholmskommun.

Destination marketing looks different from that of traditional marketing, since the product, in this case the destination, consists of several different parts compared to a good. A destination is marketed as a process where the consumption takes place at the same time as the production. Destination marketing organizations, DMO?s, are responsible for the marketing of a destination. Since destinations consist of several parts such as the train trip to the destination, restaurant visits, shopping, hotel stays etc., it is difficult for the DMO?s to fully control how a tourist perceive the destination.

Bakgrund: Uppfattningen har la?nge varit att Attention-deficit/hyperactivity disorder, ADHD, a?r en diagnos som va?xer bort och inte kvarsta?r in i vuxenlivet och da?rav har forskning runt ADHD, fram till det senaste decenniet, na?stan uteslutande bedrivits runt barn. Da? symtomyttringen ter sig annorlunda hos vuxna a?n hos barn saknas kunskap och fo?rsta?else bland annat inom va?rden och om hur dessa vuxna ska va?rdas och bemo?tas. Fo?r att va?rda vuxna med ADHD pa? ett medma?nskligt sa?tt beho?vs kunskap om hur de upplever sin ha?lsa ma?tt som livskvalitet. Syfte: Studien syftar till att beskriva hur vuxnas livskvalitet pa?verkas av ADHD.Metod: Litteraturstudie med kvalitativa och kvantitativa artiklar som underlag.

Denna studie utforskar fotgängares möjligheter att orientera sig och ta sig fram i stadsmiljöer. Orienterbarhet kan förväntas få en allt större betydelse i samband med att gångtrafiken får en viktigare roll i städers transportsystem. Samtidigt vistas allt fler människor i omgivningar de är sämre förtrogna med, till följd av den ökade mobiliteten som globaliseringen har medfört. Uppgiften för denna studie är därför att utforska orienterbarhetens betydelse för staden och dess invånare, att kartlägga orienteringssituationen i Stockholm och att undersöka hur den kan förbättras.Studien inleds med en genomgång av teorier och resonemang gällande orienterbarhet, vil- ken fungerar som en teoretisk bakgrund till de efterföljande delarna. Orienterbarhet definieras här som en egenskap som beskriver svårighetsgraden att bestämma sin position och planera sin rörelse i en stadsmiljö.

We acknowledge the lack of empirical studies of the performance of analyst target prices in the Swedish stock market by examining the profitability of target prices for stocks publicly traded on the Stockholm Stock Exchange. We use consensus target prices issued between 2006-2010 and create two different strategies to observe the abnormal returns generated during this period. Going long in the top decile stocks with the best target prices and going short in the bottom decile stocks with the worst target prices generates a statistically significant abnormal buy-and-hold return of 8.9%. An active strategy with daily portfolio rebalancing and a timely response to target price changes generates a less significant monthly alpha of 1.4% against CAPM. The results show to be robust against the size effect discovered by Fama and French.

Globaliseringen har försatt Stockholm i en konkurrenssituation gentemot världens städer. För att bemöta konkurrensen har Stockholms stad bland annat valt att satsa stora resurser på stadsbyggnadsprojektet Norra Djurgårdsstaden. Förhoppningen är att det ska bli en miljöstadsdel i världsklass som samtidigt ska representera Stockholms stads arbete kring ett modernt och hållbart stadsbyggande. På så sätt ska Norra Djurgårdsstaden fungera som ett skyltfönster för Stockholm som stad. Hållbart stadsbyggande innefattar tre aspekter; ekologiska, ekonomiska och sociala. Syftet med vår kandidatuppsats är att undersöka den sociala hållbarheten i Norra Djurgårdsstaden och hur arbetet med den har bedrivits i den bebyggda miljön.

The purpose of this master?s thesis is to study resource allocation among district libraries within Stockholm?s City Library (SSB) on three different occasions ? 1996, 2001 and 2005 ? and to examine whether there exist any inconsistency between the state of the allocation of resources and what might be considered reasonable. During the course of the study, it became apparent that some measurements are more relevant than others when determining whether the allocation of resources is reasonably fair. The most relevant ratio is the share of net cost per capita in relation to population and the population?s composition of children, youngsters and persons with foreign background as a result of relevant political governing documents giving priority to these three groups.

Projekt ?Förbifart Stockholm? startade år 2009 och är en av tidernas största projekt i Sverige. Examensarbetet tar upp den geotekniska, hydrologiska och geologiska aspekten kring projektet ?Förbifart Stockholm?. Mer exakt så studerades sättningar på grund av grundvattensänkningar, men också så kallade pågående sättningar.

Studien beskriver prevalensen av Otodectes cynotis (öronskabb) i två geografiskt skilda regioner i Sverige. I studien ingår 107 tamkatter som inkom för kastration till någon av klinikerna Djurakuten i Stockholm eller Alingsås djurklinik utanför Göteborg under perioden 01-05-2012 till 18-09-2012. Katterna otoskoperades och en provtagning med öronsvabb för mikroskopering genomfördes. I studien ingick även en frågeenkät till djurägarna för att utvärdera olika faktorer som kan ha betydelse för förekomsten av öronskabb. Sammantaget observerades en prevalens av öronskabb på ca 10%.
