Hj?rtstopp inneb?r att hj?rtat slutar pumpa blod, vilket snabbt leder till syrebrist i kroppens organ.

This bachelor thesis is written as a part of the geography program at Stockholm University, Sweden, and the study was conducted from April to June 2012.Tuberculosis (TB) is an airborne disease and one of the most widespread infectious diseases in the world with more than nine million new cases each year (SMI 2012, digital source). The disease is a major source of death and suffering in many places and the number of deaths remains high despite the availability of highly efficacious treatment. To control and prevent further spread of TB, the mapping of the disease spatial distribution is of essential importance.In this study, maps were produced that shows the spatial distribution of TB between the years 2002 to 2011 in the municipality of Stockholm. These maps allow an analysis of the spatial distribution at a local scale over time.The aim of this paper is to study how the spatial distribution of TB has looked like in the municipality of Stockholm the last 10 years and to analyze why the spatial distribution of the disease looked like it did. This study is based on the hypothesis ?drift?.

According to the European Union waste hierarchy, waste should first of all be minimized. Reuse and material and energy recycling come next. Lastly the waste should be thrown at the refuse tip. In the inner city of Stockholm waste handling can be done in various types of ways. The solutions vary as a result of the type of architecture of the building and its condition.

An increasing global tourism offers great opportunities for Sweden as a tourist destination. However, an attractive destination requires competitive destination marketing strategies. Tourist destinations often include a complex network of stakeholders of small and large en-terprises that represent both the public and private sector. One condition for successful des-tination marketing is that all of these stakeholders collaborate in their marketing to create an integrated and powerful image. Another important aspect in terms of increasing the des-tinations competitiveness is that the local tourist companies are "export-oriented", in order to ensure that international tourists are looked after appropriately.This study has focused on the destination marketing of Stockholm.

Employer Branding handlar om att skapa ett starkt arbetsgivarvarumÀrke och hur medarbetarna förmedlar varumÀrket. Stockholm stad anvÀnder visionen "Ett Stockholm i vÀrldsklass" i sitt Employer Branding arbete. Endast lite forskning finns kring hur medarbetarna upplever sin organisation i samband med ett Employer Branding-byggande. Syftet med denna studie var att öka förstÄelsen för hur medarbetare i organisationen Stockholm stad upplever tillhörighet och delaktighet. En observation och fyra intervjuer genomfördes.

MÄnga byggprojekt hÄller pÄ att genomföras i Stockholm för att möta befolkningsökningen. Uppsatsens syfte Àr att ta reda pÄ och redovisa om och hur de involverade aktörerna i byggnationen av Hjorthagen, Norra DjurgÄrdsstaden i Stockholm arbetar med genus- och jÀmstÀlldhetsfrÄgor. FrÄgan Àr om Hjorthagen kommer att kunna bli en mer jÀmstÀlld stadsdel Àn de övriga i Stockholm. Hypotesen som uppsatsen fokuserat kring Àr att ambitionerna att skapa en ökad jÀmstÀllhet finns men att de inte införlivas.Den svenska staten försöker implementera jÀmstÀlldhetsarbetet inom de flesta omrÄden idag men samhÀllsplaneringen har inte visat nÄgot större intresse för detta. Det Àr Stockholms stad som har det övergripande ansvaret för den fysiska planeringen i Stockholm men ocksÄ för den sociala hÄllbarheten dÀr jÀmstÀlldhet rÀknas in.

Den hÀr uppsatsen Àr en kvalitativ analys om hur Stockholm stad har valt att anvÀnda sig utav eventkommunikation för att kommunicera ett budskap. Eftersom att event kan anvÀndas som strategi inom flera typer utav kommunikationsomrÄden, anvÀnds hÀr begrepp som kan relatera till flera av dessa omrÄden.För att komma i nÀrmare kontakt med eventet har intervjuer genomförts med projektledaren och kommunikationsansvarig för Kulturnatt Stockholm. Genom textanalys, retorisk analys och innehÄllsanalys studeras intervjusvaren och en reklamaffisch som utformats för att marknadsföra eventet.Det kan konstateras att det utformade syftet för eventet gÄr hand i hand med det kommunicerande budskapet och att Stockholms stads intressen kan Äterspeglas i reklamaffischen. .

The reconstruction of a central area in Stockholm named Slussen (The sluice) has frequently been portrayed and debated in media over the last few years, escalating around December 2011 when the major decision regarding Slussen was to be made by the city council. The area serves as a traffic node connecting the areas of Södermalm and Gamla Stan (Old town) together. The last major change of Slussen was completed in 1935, best described as a modernistic traffic and architectural piece of work. It is indisputably an area of importance for the city of Stockholm, its citizens and visitors. How has media reported the development of the New Slussen project?The analysis, and the conclusions drawn from it, will be based upon and performed with a quantitative content analysis and critical discourse analysis.

This study looks at how probation, client experiences, and criminal policy decisions affect recidivism in Sweden. Gaining a thorough grasp of how social, organizational, and political issues interact and impact the chances of rehabilitation and reintegration is the goal. Three research questions are addressed in the study: First, what are the causes of recidivism? Second, how is probation perceived by staff and clients in terms of control and support? Thirdly, what effects do political decisions have on probation services' operations and clients' chances for recovery?? A qualitative study was conducted with semi-structured interviews with twelve respondents, eight probation clients, three probation officers and one parliamentary politician. There were six themes that discussed the issue of recidivism from different perspectives, the collected data was analyzed through thematic content analysis.

This essay was written at Södertörn University during the spring semester of 2010, in the field of Business Administration, and more precisely within management and organization. The essay is based on a case study of the management of the staff working at the commuter train stations in Stockholm. The study consists of a number of interviews with the management staff and with the personnel working at the stations, where the aim of the study is to describe how management works within ISS Trafficare AB and what the personnel working at the stations think of it. ISS Trafficare AB is the entrepreneur who runs the commuter train stations in Stockholm by an agreement met with StockholmstÄg KB.The study is based on information from the interviews with the personnel and other material from ISS Trafficare AB. Research on the area of management have been used to put data into perspective and to further deepen our analysis and conclusions from the case.The essay shows that the management has tried to implement several changes on the organization in order to provide more service to the travelers.
