This study is about how to develop younger teens problem solving ability and their social competence. The study carried through by using a qualitative method, two observations and ten interviews. The observations where preparatory for the structured interviews. The respondents where pupils in a class were it is an ongoing project which purpose is to develop childrens problem solving ability and social Skills with cognitive training and an empowerment based reasoning model that is called rahyab. Rahyab is a Persian word and it means path- finding.

The main purpose of this Master´s thesis is to examine how Swedish librari-ans manage and relate to social problems within the service to young visitors. To reach understanding in this subject, qualitative interviews with six Swedish public librarians have been conducted. As a theoretical framework the ideas of interactions and identity have been used. These concepts together with attitude and behavior, form the theoreti-cal model upon which the analysis of the material is based. The outcome of the study shows that social problems exists and affect the library staff?s daily work.

The aim of this thesis is to investigate how students in higher education use talking books. This has been inves-tigated through qualitative interviews with nine students. The intention has been to find out how they use talk-ing books and why they have chosen to do it in the way they have, looking specifically on whether there are strategies shared by most of the interviewees.As a theoretical basis of the thesis I have chosen a study, described by Sigrid Hongset, where dyslectic pu-pils tried using printed text and text on tape, as well as both simultaneously. George Kingsley Zipfs ?Principle of least effort? will act as a supplemental theory.The interviews show that the students use talking books in different ways.

The aim of this Masters thesis is to analyse school librarians and teachers perspective of childrens reading and reading progress, the impact of informational texts on childrens reading and how school librarians and teachers work/teach to improve their students understanding of informational texts. We also intend to study what consequences school librarians and teachers believe that childrens reduced understanding of informational texts can have in the long run and how this could be improved. The theories applied encompass different literature-pedagogical strategies, theories about reading purpose and direction of the reading process together with a theory that shows the school librarys function in the education. The empirical material has been collected through interviews with one school librarian and one teacher at three different schools. The material has then been analysed and interpreted from theories and earlier research.

Dementia is a concept that describes different conditions when memory and cognitive abilities degenerate. Approximately 140 000 persons in Sweden suffers from some kind of dementia. Many are stricken with behavioral and psychological symptoms of dementia, BPSD. The aim of this study was to illuminate nursing staff?s experiences of caring for persons suffering from dementia and BPSD within municipal and institutional care.

The telenursing service deals with offering the public guidance as what to do with their health and illness concern. More specifically this service includes triage, support, advice, education, referral, information and coordination. To conduct telephone advice is a complicated task to perform and put specific demands of the nurse?s communication Skills.The purpose of this study was to critically review the impact of telephone counseling focused on context of implementation, perspective, design and clinical relevance by a sample of studies within the field.The critical review focused on inconsistencies in the material. Strengths and weaknesses of the studies were explored, with emphasis on detecting areas of skill gaps.Twelve of thirteen studies were made in the context of telenursing.

Abstract The purpose of this paper is to investigate teachers´attitudes to and work with outdoor education in preschool. The aim is also to identify the opportunities and barriers that exist to conduct outdoor education. In my research I have interviewed six preschool teachers in a medium sized municipality, where five of the teachers worked in the suburbs to the Big City and one teacher worked in the downtown Big City. All respondents in the study were in favor of conducting outdoor education. The respondents claimed that it promoted children´s health and motor Skills. The result also shows that the teachers saw a great opportunity for learning related to outdoor education, by using the resources of nature.

Studiens syfte är att undersöka vad pedagoger på två förskolor i en kommun anser om den fysiska rörelsens betydelse för motorisk utveckling och inlärning. Vi vill även ta reda på hur pedagogerna arbetar med rörelse och hur de ser på sin egen roll som pedagog när det gäller rörelsens betydelse för barns motoriska utveckling och inlärning. För att nå vårt syfte har vi intervjuat två arbetslag bestående av sju pedagoger.

The purpose is to explore and describe norms and values concerning emotions and emotional expression inSweden and Greece from an emotionsociological perspective. Do emotional regimes on a national level existand if they do, how do they differ? To answer this question qualitative interviews have been conducted withnine Greek/Swedes, men and women of different ages, who have lived in both countries and who speak bothlanguages. A quantitative survey study, employing a survey previously used in a Swedish study about emotions,has also been undertaken. Previous studies have shown that emotional regimes do differ historically and acrosscultures, but no study so far has focused on the differences between examples of North European and SouthEuropean cultures.The theoretical framework consists mainly of Hochschild´s theories about feeling/display rules and emotionwork, but the analysis also draws on Collin´s theory of interaction ritual chains and on Sociology of Emotionsmore broadly.The results suggest that different national regimes can be distinguished primarily in terms of display rules andin the Skills of emotional alternations.

Bakgrund: Alumninätverk är ett nätverk för tidigare anställda på ett företag eller för examinerade studenter från högskola eller universitet. Alumninätverk är ovanligt i Sverige, men i USA jobbar företagen aktivt med detta. I avslutningsskedet av en anställning kommer alumni in som en del i Employer Branding processen då ett företag vill behålla kontakten med sina före detta medarbetare.Syfte: Syftet med föreliggande studie är att få fördjupad kunskap om de för- och nackdelar som företag upplever med att inrätta alumninätverk och vilken effekt det får när ett företag inrättar ett alumninätverk.Metod: För att uppnå syftet med denna uppsats har jag genomfört en kvalitativ undersökning där jag intervjuat ett konsultföretag inom området alumninätverk för att erhålla ett expertutlåtande och fyra företag som idag driver alumninätverk för sina tidigare anställda.Slutsats: Alla företag jag har intervjuat är överens om att fördelarna med ett alumninätverk är många. Bumerangrekryteringsmöjligheten, ambassadörskapet, affärsnätverket och möjligheten att utveckla en kundkontakt i framtiden är fördelarna som främst tas upp. Min slutsats är att fler företag bör börja arbeta med alumninätverk för jag tror att generation Y kräver en strategisk Employer Brandprocess där alumni är en viktig del.

If guidance counselors are to do as good a job as possible, they need to have as much comprehensive information as possible when it comes to possible career paths for their clients. To get on the way to get this information I, in this study, examined how musicians - specifically flute players career paths could seem. I examen this by doing five interviewees. This study is for guidance counselors, so they hade a more solid foundation to stand on, but also for aspiring musicians to get new perspectives to consider when faced with career choices.The study is conducted through five interviews with professionals flutists; Agneta, Harry, Jenny, Eva and Pepita who all work or have recently worked as professional musicians or teachers. With professional musician, I mean the ones in one way or another is or has been employed musicians and also is in the same or higher level in terms of their music ability than those who are employed.

Interaktion är det komplexa samspel mellan interaktörer där meningsskapande skerinom kommunikativa sekvenser. Föreliggande studie syftar till att översätta ettbedömningsinstrument till svenska för bedömning av interaktion mellan barn medkommunikativ funktionsnedsättning och deras föräldrar. Instrumentet Coding of Parent-Child Interaction and Communication Skills Assessment är hämtat från studier avPennington et al. (1999; 2009) och prövas på två interaktionsdyader (barn i interaktionmed en förälder) före och efter genomgången föräldrakurs för att utvärdera ominstrumentet är användbart vid bedömningen av interaktion. Den svenska versionen avbedömningsinstrumentet innehåller koder med definitioner för identifiering avinteraktionsmönster.
