Sjuksköterskans arbetsmiljö innebär ständig kontakt med bakterier och andra mikroorganismer. I denna miljö utgör händerna det viktigaste arbetsredskapet, men är samtidigt den största källan till smittspridning. Noggrannhet när det gäller handhygien är därför av största vikt i vårdandet av sjuka människor. Syftet med föreliggande studie var att undersöka sjuksköterskans kunskap om handhygien utifrån Handbok för hälso- och sjukvårdspersonal (2005). En empirisk studie med kvalitativ ansats genomfördes med urval av 21 sjuksköterskor.

AbstractIn this thesis we analyze how institutions describe the dichotomy between ?problem? and ?resource? when dealing with young adults. We also analyze the consequences of this dichotomy as it involves the younger generation's participation and group identity in today's society. Dichotomies and New Institutionalism Theory is the base for this case study completed in Malmö, Sweden. We have done eight qualitative interviews with politicians and employees in Malmö municipality and a quantitative content analysis of reference documents from both the Malmö and Swedish governments.

There are several factors influencing the profitability of production with sheep. Two of the most important factors are ewe fertility and lamb survival. Also growth capacity of the lambs is important. This paper aims to review correlations between the ewe?s fertility and maternal behavior and lamb survival.

The purpose of this thesis is to compare five different ranking algorithms for query expansion. The algorithms compared are f4, f4mod, porter, wpq, and emim. This is done using a TREC collection, a selection of topics, and relevance judgements. Relative recall is measured before and after the expansion of the query. The study shows that all of the algorithms manage to increase the relative recall, f4 being the one most successful..

This report is a documentation of a Master?s thesis of 20 credits performed at the educational program of Technical Product- and Production Development with Design at Halmstad University. The project is carried out in cooperation with Hafa AB in Halmstad.The purpose of this project was to bring forth a concept of a bathroom cabinet for Hafa?s new selection Young through creative design methods. The selection is supposed to attract the younger purchaser but also a target group that dare to experiment with home furnishing and appreciates new design.

Föreliggande uppsats syftar till att problematisera begreppet västerländskt ?kulturarv? i svenskämnets A- och B-kurser avseende litteraturundervisningen. Undersökningen studerar tre läroböckers litterära urval under epokerna renässansen, upplysningen och romantiken (år 1500 ? 1830) genom att kartlägga vilka gränser mellan ?Vi? och ?De Andra? som används och aktiveras, samt hur dessa gränser legitimeras. De läroböcker som undersöks är Natur & Kulturs BRUS #1/#2 (2006), Libers Litteraturen Lever (2005) samt Gleerups Möt Litteraturen (2008).

Nurse anesthetists have a key role in creating a safe environment and the opportunity to use different interventions to reduce the degree of anxiety.AimThe aim of the study was to examine which interventions may reduce anxiety in adult patients before and during both general, local and regional anesthesia.DesignSystematic literature review with a quantitative approach.ResultsSeveral studies indicate that gabapentin and pregabalin can reduce anxiety before and during anesthesia. The anxiety reducing effect appeared to be dose dependent. The naturopathic drugs Citrus aurantium blossom and Passiflora incarnata Linneaus were found to reduce anxiety before anesthesia.

For centuries inbreeding has been used to refine traits in dogs, making desired traits more hereditary and thereby, different breeds have been invented. Breed standards have been written for each of these breeds, describing in detail the different characteristics of each breed. When humans start to choose which animal to breed from, so called artificial selection, taste is put before function and the laws of nature, the natural selection, cease to apply. During this development, pedigree dogs have gone towards more and more extreme exterior characteristics and the dogs may have inherited various, more or less, severe problems for example compromised vision, impaired ability to move and difficulties to breathe. However they can still survive and reproduce because humans provide them with the conditions to do so.

The purpose of our essay is to investigate the trust in accountants. The method we used to investigate the trust was a survey and a questionnaire was used to collect the data. The data was gathered from three different groups, shareholders, lenders and tax authority. When we analysed the data we found out that the groups trust in accountants were neither strong nor weak. The results can be generalized on all the three groups because the observations were scattered around the means and we used random selection to collect the data.

Småföretagen har en betydande roll för ett lands ekonomi och Venture Capital fonderna spelar en viktig roll vid finansieringen av dessa företag då de har svårt att erhålla finansiering på vanligt vis. För att VC-fonderna i sin tur skall kunna bedriva sin verksamhet krävs det att de i sin tur erhåller finansiering från en investerare, som därför kommer att spela en viktig roll i denna process. Studien är baserad på en hermeneutisk kunskapssyn och vi valde att genom en kvalitativ metod utföra fem stycken intervjuer med investerare inom pensionsfonder och försäkringsbolag, som visat sig vara de största investerarna i VC-fonder. Vi ville få en förståelse och kartlägga processen i och med att en investerare väljer att investera i en VC-fond och även visa på de olika problemen som investeraren möter på vägen.Detta har vi genomfört genom huvudsakligen en deduktiv ansats, då vi i vår teori tagit upp mycket av de problem som kan uppstå vid en investering, för att sedan genom intervjuer undersöka om dessa problem även uppstår för investerare till VC-fonder. Vi menar att vi även bidrar med ny forskning inom området och i och med detta anser vi att vi har inslag av ett induktivt angreppssätt.Första steget består i att investeraren bedriver en ?screening process? vilket innebär att investeraren gör en aktiv utvärdering av VC-fonderna och dess bakomliggande team.

This retrospective study reviews and investigates type of dementia, related to co morbidity, symptoms of dementia, previus anaesthesia/surgery, intraoperative events and postoperative cognitive symptoms. The patient co morbidity was compared to occurrence in an age-matched population of 1095 individuals. Fifty-two patients with different types of dementia participated. Data was collected from patient journals.Compared to population, heredity for dementia, heart insufficiency, hypertension, depression and B12- deficiency was more frequent in the patients. B12- deficiency was common in vascular dementias and "burn-out syndrome" in early-onset AD.

SyfteMötet mellan kroppen som något socialt format och som något biologiskt mätbart som sker i idrott kan vara problematiskt vilket visat sig genom tidigare forskning inom området. Olika sätt att se på kön kan göra att biologisk jämlikhet mellan män och kvinnor förutsätts där det finns skillnader eller att skillnader förutsätts där det inte finns några. Syftet med denna studie var att genom en systematisk litteraturgranskning belysa det tillämpade idrottsvetenskapliga forskningsfältets urval av försökspersoner och rapportering av dessa. Samt utifrån teorier kring kön och genus tolka resultatet av detta. Vidare var syftet att undersöka effekten av förstaförfattarens könskategori på val av urvalsgrupper och rapportering av dessa.

There's a good adherence to the vaccination of children, about 98% of all two year olds are vaccinated. Despite this, there are cases of whooping cough and measles in Sweden. The purpose of the study was to describe what motivates parents to not vaccinate and reflections and attiudes about vaccinations. The study had a descriptive design with qualitative approach. Eight parents who had chosen not to follow the National Board of Health?s vaccination program or whom had decided to completely abandon, participated in the study.

Fetma och psykisk ohälsa är två utbredda folkhälsoproblem som förutom att orsaka stor samsjuklighet, även ger stora ekonomiska förluster för samhällena. Den här systematiska litteraturstudien gjordes i syftet att undersöka eventuell förekomst av sambandet mellan fetma och psykisk ohälsa. I denna studie avses psykisk ohälsa som ångest, låg sinnesstämning och depression. Pub Med och Lib Hub användes för datainsamling. Vid urval av artiklarna var en av de huvudsakliga etiska principerna att artiklarna måste blivit granskade.
