Musiken som kompositör och regissör är en uppsats om hur vi som utövande sångare och kompositörer omedvetet verkar i en tradition som har sina rötter i en kompositionsteknik och estetik som hade sin storhetstid för tre till fyrahundra år sedan, nämligen affektläran.Som bas för min undersökning ligger min egen komposition, operan ?Post office?, med ettlibretto baserat på Charles Bukowskis roman med samma namn. Operan är komponerad utan att jag hade någon som helst kännedom om affektläran, och jag ställer därför frågan om jagomedvetet har komponerat utifrån en tradition som går tillbaka till 1600- och 1700-talet. Jaghar använt mig av en analysmetod där jag väljer ut vissa stycken ur operan, vilka sedan haranalyserats textligt och musikaliskt utifrån affektlärans tekniker. Jag har även med hjälp av en observation av ett antal sångare, som fått framföra delar av min opera, undersökt om det retoriskt-gestiska agerandet i barockens opera omedvetet kan leva kvar hos dagens sångare.

The aim of this study was to explore how young students can be taught during their first year of learning English towards the A1 level according to The European Framework of Reference for Languages, and how the students understand their own learning. The study was carried out in two different classes but with the same teacher, who is qualified to teach English to young learners. The result is based on the analysis of a total of twelve observations of English lessons in two classes in school year one and eight group interviews with the students. Recurrent ingredients through all lessons were activities such as listening to teacher talk, watching films or film clips, Singing songs and doing rhymes, using drama activities, talking about the meaning of learning English, practicing guessing competence and learning new vocabulary. The teacher consistently talked about and taught different strategies for language learning.

Utifra?n barnro?stens fo?rutsa?ttningar har jag ba?de o?versiktligt och mer inga?ende studerat musikexempel fra?n barnskivor och dess anpassning till barnens eget ro?stla?ge. Fo?rskolor har via webbenka?t medverkat och angivit de skivor som de sja?lva anva?nder sig av.

My research interest in the upcoming paper is the increased need for promotion of schools. I. e. the individual school´s needs to be able to show its existence, in the huge flow and availability of information; schools and universities, study circles, streamed lectures on the Internet, public schools and private schools, different educational directions, et cetera. The schools? needs to market itself, make good PR and sell their pedagogical idea, and that has become increasingly important. My purpose is to clarify how music teachers, in the Swedish primary and secondary school, skills and competences are used in outreach activities within but also outside, the school premises.

Genom att välja ett kvantitativ metod, enkätundersökning, har jag valt att undersöka ämnesområdet med så liten påverkan som möjligt från mina egna uppfattningar och värderingar. Jag har haft en positivistisk ansats att spegla verkligheten genom att kvantifiera och bearbeta empirin med statistiska metoder. Resultatet visar att pedagoger i förskolan arbetar i en kvinnodominerande verksamhet med jämlik organisation där arbetslagen beslutar om verksamheten ska genomföra sångstund eller inte på sina avdelningar. 91 procent av de 43 pedagogerna uppger att de har sångstund varje vecka på sin avdelning, 58 procent har det varje dag.

The purpose of this paper is to study and describe the occurrence and conditions of aesthetic subjects and choral Singing in Swedish upper secondary schools 2014. The paper is based on seven recorded individual interviews with three music teachers, four principals and one director of education in three upper secondary schools in Sweden. The study uses discursive psychology and the interviews were analysed with focus on music teachers and school leaders interpretative repertoires and rhetorical strategies and how they use the language to legitimate aesthetic subjects in an upper secondary school context. In the most recent upper secondary school reform of 2011 the aesthetic subjects are no longer mandatory. Today there are different ways to provide opportunities for the students to participate in music activities but since the government no longer decides how it shall be implemented it is up to the management of each school to determine the activities.The statement made by the informants are interesting in relation to the status of music subjects, but due to the limited scope of the paper, no general conclusions can be drawn.

Forskning visar hur musiken inverkar på människans totala välbefinnande och kapacitet. Det finns studier som påvisar samband mellan musik och prestation och statistiskt sett har musikklasser bättre studieresultat än andra klasser. I denna studie har undersökts hur gymnasieelever själva upplever körsången i skolan, och rent specifikt om körsången kan påverka deras totala studieprestation. Undersökningen fokuserar kring att få en djupare inblick i hur dessa elever ser att deras egen personliga utveckling hänger samman med körsången i skolan. Vilka egenskaper och förmågor utvecklar körsången? Detta har sedan kopplats till rådande forskning om motivation, prestation och framgång.

Syftet med föreliggande studie är att undersöka hur fortbildning på ?Complete Vocal Institute?, CVI, påverkar och bidrar till sångpedagogers undervisningssätt. Bakgrundskapitlet ger en kort beskrivning av den fortbildning på ?Complete Vocal Institute? som informanterna i studien har gått. Vidare följer en presentation av komplett sångtekniks (CVT:s) grundare Cathrine Sadolin, hur CVT växte fram samt av metodens innebörd och funktion.

Är det självklart vilka låtar som skall behandlas under musiklektionerna? Är en bra låt alltid en bra låt när det kommer till själva lärandet? Denna uppsats fokuserar och tar upp just detta. Vad tycker och värderar musiklärare som viktigt när de väljer låtar och repertoar för kursen Instrument eller sång på gymnasiet? Detta kopplas sedan samman med Lucy Greens teorier kring det informella och formella lärandet, som till exempel handlar om elevers egna inflytande över musiken och deras egna inflytande över musiklektionernas repertoar.Denna uppsats är främst grundad i kvalitativa metoder. De utvalda lärarnas tankar och idéer är insamlat ifrån en internet - enkät där frågorna var mer eller mindre öppna.

To describe your profession can sometimes be hard. Everyone knows what a music teacher is and what her work includes. But what about a eurhythmic teacher - who knows what she does? By experience my answer is: not many. Inthis essay I have outlined differences in method and lecture planning between a eurhythmic and a music teacher, to be able to find out the answer to my research question - what a eurhythmic teacher can contribute to the school subject music.I chose an observation research where I observed a mixed class with children from fourth and fifth grade.

Along with other European farmland birds, the skylark (Alauda arvensis) has declined rapidly since the 1970?s. Between 1975 and 2003, the Swedish population of skylarks declined with 64 %. In Britain, the decline is often explained by alterations in farming practices in general and the shift from spring-sown to winter-sown cereals in particular. The dense vegetation structure of winter cereals is limiting the number of breeding attempts possible, causing the entire population to decline.

Society?s interest for environmental issues was reinforced in the 1960:s when the book by Rachel Carson, ?Silent Spring?, came out. She described a picture of a world without birds Singing and this got the environmental debate going. Today, this debate has reached the corporate world since stakeholders are putting pressure on companies to show greater environmental awareness. Many companies show uncertainty when they are faced with these new market demands.

ABSTRACTBjelkenbrant, Pernilla, 2006: ANC-galan i Göteborg 1985: en analys av sången Soweto som politisk mobilisering (The ANC gala in Gothenburg in 1985: an analysis of the song Soweto as a means of political mobilisation)The political scientists Abdul Karim Bangura, Ove Nordenmark and Tor Sellström, all believe that there, during the 1980s, existed a strong and unified ?Swedish? attitude against the South African apartheid system, and Sellström points out that this position had a strong anchorage in the ANC gala in Gothenburg in 1985. Over the past few years, Singing has been identified as playing a crucial role in the struggle against apartheid. The aim of this study is twofold: firstly it presents a comprehensive discussion on how song is generally considered a tool of political mobilisation, secondly it discusses how that process can be applied to the ANC-gala. Consequently, the theoretical discussion constitutes the initial part of the study.

Title: Belting in teaching. A study of views and teaching-procedure.The purpose of this study is to map how the Singing teachers at a Swedish college of music describe and implement the vocal technique 'belting' in their curriculum. This study is based on watching and interviewing six different teachers. The theoretical part deals with voice physiology and four different theories surrounding belting. The results show that the descriptions of belting vary between teachers and experts alike.

As we travel more and more by train it becomes increasingly important that the time we spend traveling, is of great quality. This has been the foundation of this master thesis and has shaped the outcome of it. The traveling experience, that is, the experience of the landscape that flashes by outside the train window, is an important aspect in railway planning and an aspect that should be taken into greater consideration. The purpose of this master thesis has been to examine how to compose or improve the travel experience for an already planned high speed railway and how the travel experience can be combined with other aspects, which have claims on the landscape. This thesis is based on a literature study and a case study of Ostlänken. The work describes Ostlänken, a planned high speed railway in Sweden between Järna and Linköping, with top speeds at 300-320 kilometers per hour.
