Flertalet frågor behandlas, såsom om konsten och konstnärer står inför ett paradigmskifte, varför det är fult att säga konst och pengar i samma mening och vad verksamma konstnärer tycker om situationen.Uppsatsen redogör för begreppet konstnär ur ett historisk och sociologiskt perspektiv. Förutsättningar för konstnären gås igenom med fokus på kulturpolitiken från 1974 tills idag, och marknaden. Fyra konstnärer har intervjuats för att skapa en bild av den realiteten som de verkar i, hur de ser på konstnärskapet och den bästa av världar..

In recent years, the Swedish railway track system has been neglected in terms of capacity and maintenance. To adapt the existing system to current traffic load there is a great need for extensive improvement and maintenance. Shortcomings are especially occurring on older embankments running over soft subgrades. To select the most suitable method for reinforcement of the embankment, it is important to evaluate different solutions from a life cycle cost perspective. In long-term perspective, it is often shown that a method with low investment cost causes a higher maintenance cost and a shorter technical lifetime.

Many companies have started to work with aspects that create aconsumer experience to meet the customers? new demands.

Examensarbetet Framtidens skolbänk som har utförts på avdelningen för maskinteknik vid Blekinge Tekniska högskola i samarbete med grundskolan Vittra Adolfsberg. Skolbänken är till för att möjliggöra ergonomiskt bra arbetsställningar i både sittande och stående position för alla elever oavsett längd och storlek. Dessutom ska skolbänken underlätta användandet av digitala undervisningsredskap såsom datorer och surfplattor. Examensarbetet består i att utveckla och konstruera en skolbänk som möjliggör detta utan att skolbänken blir för dyr eller för ömtålig för att kunna vara att reellt alternativ för alla skolor. Idag så är projektet på konceptstadiet men det finns definitivt möjligheter att någon variant på mitt förslag skulle kunna kommersialiseras då det i dagsläget inte finns några liknande produkter på marknaden..

How does the idea of entrepreneurship for young people relate to media discourses? We have analysed magazines on entrepreneurship from the perspective of Faircloghs critical discourse analysis method to see how the magazines, by there own position in the entrepreneurships discourse, relate the idea of young entrepreneurship. The society wants more people to start their own business, why? The issues of the shift from youth as social problems to youth as entrepreneurs is discussed in the thesis as well as the scope and content of this discourse as a possible new ideal for youth in Swedish society..

Management consulting firms are dependent on attracting and recruiting new talents since the human capital has a vital role in these types of organizations. In the following years a new generation, Generation Y, will to a large extent enter the labour market. According to several studies this generation has different characteristics than older generations.This thesis examines management consulting firms? views of Generation Y and which strategies they use to attract and retain the generation. The fact that the subjects are unexplored led the authors to conduct a qualitative study of seven management consulting firms through in-depth interviews.

Vätskor känns självklara och naturliga i vår vardag men de kan vara ganska komplexa och svår att simulera i exempelvis ett datorspel. Ett verklighetstroget vattenstänk i ett spel kan absolut ge en ökad realism i spelet och ge en förhöjd spelupplevelse.Detta arbete undersöker en teknik för att få en mer verklighetstrogen rörelse/beteende hos en vätska. Metoden bygger på att lösa Navier-Stokes algoritm som beskriver vätskors beteende på molekylär nivå, och beräkna en interaktion mellan partiklarna som representerar vätskan.Resultaten visar att en mer realistisk rörelse går att få fram jämfört med vad man kan få med ett enklare partikelsystem, men att antalet partiklar blir mycket begränsade. Prestanda hos datorer ökar ständigt och inom en snar framtid genom en utveckling av teknikern och närliggande metoder så kan den bli helt klart aktuell i nästa generations datorspel..

Science for Life Laboratory:s (SciLifeLabs) användarstöd inom bioinformatik brister inom en del områden som användarutbildning, organisation och kommunikation. För att kunna tillgodose den snabba utvecklingen av biotekniken (till exempel nästa generations sekvensering) och inte minst SciLifeLab är det viktigt att dessa brister åtgärdas. Efter att ha utfört en serie intervjuer med användare och leverantörer av SciLifeLabs sekvenseringstjänster har vi kommit fram till sex förslag för att täcka problemen inom de olika områdena. Förslagen sträcker sig från att vara enkla till mer omfattande att implementera. Resultaten är riktade mot SciLifeLabs sekvenseringsplattform och är utformade för att kunna implementeras i dagsläget samt anpassas till framtida utvecklingar. ABB Capacitors Ludvika started their LEAN-project in november 2010, but still has not the whole factory been introduced to the LEAN-tool called 5S. 5S is only implemented on the ?easiest? work-areas.By implementing 5S, at the workingstation called inburkningen, would make the workstation and the area around it much more structured, clean and systematized. The operators are a little bit skeptical to the work that includes continuous improvement today, because they can not see any progresses. If 5S were implememted the operators would be able to avoid searching for tools because with 5S, each tool will have a specified place at the workstation.5S would simplify the cooperation between the shifts, because 5S includes clear instructions for how the workstations will be cleaned after each shift.This report will include my recommendations, thoughts and opinions regarding however ABB Capacitors Ludvika should implement or not implement the LEAN-tool 5S.

The essays main intent is to examine whether there has been a proper implementation of the Council?s directive 1999/70/EG into Swedish law regarding the requirement for measures to prevent the abuse of successive fixed-term employment contracts. To achieve this purpose there is a need for an examination of current law. The essay also has some secondary purposes. One of these secondary purposes is the question of whether the implementation of the Council?s directive 1999/70/EG has lead to a reduction of the workers employment protection, which is closely connected to my main question and the violation case.

This work presents the way exiled Tibetans I?ve met view gender and equality. The world is becoming increasingly global and in order to educate future world citizens it is important to make sure that they learn about gender and equality. Males and Females have different cultures and where manly is the norm female is the exception, but it is important to try and level out these differences while children are still in school. This work originates from studies of literature and several interviews with exiled Tibetans in the Indian city of Dharamsala. They are Tibetans with different roles in the exile-Tibetan society and also of different generations and gender.

The aim of this paper is to analyze how syllabus plans for the course Swedish for immigrants have changed in the past 40 years. The paper focuses mainly on how different theories on learning in general and second language acquisition in particular have influenced the syllabus. Furthermore, the paper attempts to identify changes in how the teachers? role is described in the documents. My results indicate that syllabus plans from the 70?s were influenced by behaviorism, progressivism and the sociocultural view on learning, while syllabus plans from the 90?s and 00?s show only influences from the two latter perspectives.

Hälso- och sjukvård, handel och industri är de områden som har flest skiftarbetare. Med nattskiftinslag är skiftarbetet förenat med en rad negativa effekter på hälsa och säkerhet.

I artikeln Parallel Implementation of Linear Feedback Shift Registers for Low Power Applications, beskriver Menahem Lowy en metod för att konstruera slumptalsgeneratorer. Dessa är tänkta att vara effektsnålare än en vanlig enkel slumptalsgenerator, med återkopplat skiftregister. I det här examensarbetet har sex slumptalsgeneratorer konstruerats i VHDL. Två är baserade på Lowy?s metod och två är parallella varianter av dessa.

The purpose of this paper is to examine what problems cabbage growers have with the Swede Midge. The last few years the Swede Midge, Contarinia nasturtii, has become a larger problem for cabbage growers in several countries in Europe as well as in Sweden. In Canada the problems are so severe that the midge is classified as a quarantine pest and therefore certain rules have to be followed. I have collected facts of the biology, host plants and reproduction of the Swede Midge, as well as the growers experiences and the occurrence of the midge in Canada, Europe and Sweden. The Swede Midge is hard to control because of its short life cycle and the larvae are protected between the heartleaves of the plant. When the larva feeds on the growth point the plant becomes distorted, in some cases several heads develop or none at all. When the midge infests spring rape its flower buds become undeveloped and rosette like.
