En resa för ett träd : En hermeneutisk studie om attityder till klimatkompensering av flygresor

The purpose of this paper is to examine the attitudes and willingness towards climate compensation in air travel. The study discuss if people feel a personal responsibility about the environment. Earlier research shows that tourists are positive towards climate compensation, but in reality very few use this service. The main question is: Which are the reasons for travellers not to use climate compensation? The used methodology is qualitative and based on ten interviews with people who have travelled by air one or several times since January 2007, when the service was first established.

?Din katalog ? tjänster från Konsult och Service? presenterar de tjänster som förvaltningen Konsult och Service inom Västerås Stad (läs kommun) erbjuder. Katalogen är två år gammal och mitt examensarbete har gått ut på att uppdatera och omarbeta katalogen efter de förhållanden som råder nu.Jag har analyserat katalogen, såväl text- som bildmässigt. Katalogens sändare, chefer inom Konsult och Service, har i intervjuer givit sina synpunkter på befintlig katalog. De har även bidragit med underlag till nya texter.

The study examines selectivity of the customer base and scarcity of a product?s effect on attitude and value towards a product or service. A questionnaire study is made from three different situations. The result varied depending on the situation; however it was found that selectivity of the customer base and scarcity has a great impact on the attitude and the perceived value towards a product or service. Selectivity of the customer base was found having the highest level of impact on both attitude and perceived value.

This paper deals with how seamen onboard merchant ships flying the Swedish flag apprehendthe culture, information and leisure possibilities that offer them by the Swedish GovernrnentSeamen's Service, HKF.The objective with this work is two folded: first of all suggest some actions to be taken inorder to improve the situation for seamen, based on the results from interviews with crewsonboard three merchant ships.Secondly, draw the attention to HKF's activity in general and to the activity of the SwedishSeamen's Library in particular, for people working within libraries.The result of this examination shows that people onboard really regards the service carriedout by HKF as very good in general, but there are some activities which hopefully can beimproved. However, perhaps the most important role can be played by the shipping companies,based on the wishes that came about from the seamen. These conclusions and discussion aredealt within chapter 8..

DDoS: Ett evolverande fenomen / DDoS: An evolving phenomenon

Internetfenomenet ?Distributed Denial of Service?, förkortat DDoS, beskrivs ofta som ett av de största hoten mot Internet idag. Genom att utnyttja den grundläggande strukturen i kommunikation mellan nätverk och datorer kan kriminella blockera och stänga ute webbplatser och -tjänster från användare, samtidigt som det är mycket svårt för offret och myndigheter att någonsin identifiera den eller de skyldiga. Enorma globala nätverk av ovetande människors infekterade datorer fjärrstyrs till att utföra angrepp mot alla sorters organisationer på Internet med olika motiv, som finansiella, politiska eller för ren vandalism. Syftet med det här arbetet är att göra en dagsaktuell kartläggning över läget kring DDoS-angrepp och titta på statistik över de mest förekommande angreppstyperna, och se om den nyare publicerade forskningen kan svara på de pågående och framträdande trender som kan ses.

Konkursprediktion inom service- och informationsteknikbranschen : En undersökning baserad på Altmans studie 1968

Under de senaste åren finns en ökad uppmärksamhet i att kunna förutspå konkurs och andra former av ekonomiska kriser. Vissa forskare menar att konkursprediktion har varit huvudforskningsämne inom redovisning och finans sedan Altmans studie från 1968. Under åren har flera modeller vuxit fram och tidigare forskning har påvisat att konkurs kan förutspås med en hög grad av tillförlitlighet.Denna uppsats har som utgångspunkt Altmans studie från 1968. 66 företag har undersökts i tre år mellan åren 2000 och 2010, varav hälften av företagen har inlett konkurs och den resterande hälften är så kallade friska företag (ej konkurs). Detta i syfte för att undersöka om Altmans konkurspredektionsmodell Z??-score kan appliceras på svenska företag inom service och informationsteknikbranschen.De 33 friska företagen har jämförts mot de 33 konkursförsatta företagen och sedan sammanslagits för en total procentuell klassificering.Vår studie visar att 14 av 33 konkurssatta företag visar tecken på konkurs ett år innan konkurs inleddes.

The purpose of this essay is to examine how the editorial office to the TV-programs Gokväll,Mitt i naturen and Plus use social media. To achieve the purpose qualitative interviews wereconducted with three Web Editors, one for each program. This essay is based on theories onhow companies can and should work with social media from Andreas M. Kaplan andMichael Haenlin among other writers and scholars from Sweden. The convergence concepttheory with particular focus on media convergence and branding has also been applied in thestudy.

The purpose of this Masters thesis is to study students perception of the services that the library staff provides and the library staffs opinion of the students perceptions. With the concept service we mean the treatment, the attitudes and the qualities that exist between the library staff and their users. Our purpose is also to examine how the users experienced services quality. Our survey was conducted at an academic library with questionnaires to both students and library staff. We analysed the result of the survey by using three theories by Lundmark, Keen and Grönroos and Monthelie.

The purpose of this thesis is to develop a total cost model for container transports and create a tool that calculates a suitable transport quantity from an economic view, which fulfills the demands on delivery service. To achieve this purpose the following questions will be answered:Which costs are affected by the decision between the two transport alternatives LCL and FCL?   How does the decision of sending product LCL or FCL influence the delivery service?  How can a tool be constructed to simplify the decision-making process regarding the choice of sending products LCL or FCL?  Method ? A total cost model was developed. This model is supported from existing literature.

 Abstract  Interest in Lean grows and spreads to the public from industrial and service sectors. Lean is currently used in administrative processes and it is called Administration but can administration be Lean? The aim of our study is to develop a useful model for a successful implementation of Lean Administration by using various scientific articles, books and information from the case study.The part of the purpose is to: ? Identify critical success factors that arise? Identify the challenges arising from the implementation of Lean Administration.We have studied a Division within Distribution at GE Healthcare in Uppsala. The model that we have developed provides challenges and success factors for a successful implementation.In order to succeed in implementation, a culture that promotes continuous improvement must exist in the organization. A key success factor is to understand Lean Administrations structure and principles.

I have investigated how municipalities support children with ADHD. I have interviewed persons responsible in five different municipalities. The persons have had the authority to decide how the support funds are to be shared in the municipality. Mostly I was interested to know if the support was the same in all these municipalities and if the children with ADHD really got the help and support they were entitled to. I discovered that the support varied; in some the children were correctly diagnosed but in others municipalities I was not convince.

AbstractThis degree project is about having meetings in The Swedish Social Insurance Agency, which is awide organisation. This work will concentrate on one of the projects going on within theorganisation which is travel-free meetings, where they are building a video meeting system thatallows the employees in the organisation to be able to meet with each other through the use ofvideoconferencing instead of physical meetings.In this work we will show how Kaikaku (radical system changes) along with Kaizen (continuouschange) can support an organisation to become more efficient and reduce wastage. We have donethis work in an organisation that is present in over one hundred locations in Sweden.The Social Insurance Agency has over 13 000 employees at over one hundred locations inSweden.The organisation has to be close to their customers and provide the best service aspossible. To be able to work in a uniform way, the employees get together and have meetings.Some meetings are just progress meetings and takes perhaps no more than two hours to complete.However, if seven employees from seven different locations need to have meetings, in the worstcase, they all have to meet in a common place.This is expensive for the organisation in travel costs, time and absence from work, but thetravelling also contributes to environmental pollution if the employees are travelling by a fuelpoweredvehicle.A whole day could go lost for having a meeting in about two hours if all sevenemployees went from their own cities to e.g. Stockholm for the meeting.Muda (wastage) of travel created several different types of Muda, namely:? Myndighetscentret ? En kvalitativ studie av myndigheters lokalbehov och en utveckling av ett kontorshotellskoncept

Aim: This paper aims to produce a serviced office concept adjusted to Statens fastighetsverk. The concept will make SFV:s properties more attractive for renting. Method: Information has been collected from interviews with 13 different serviced office companies, one serviced office agent and eleven government authorities. Also litterateur, reports and internet have been used in gathering information.I will use following questions:¨      How is the serviced office concept designed?¨      Which customer segment should SFV direct to and what need does the segment have?¨      How shall a marketing plan look like for the concept?¨      How should a concept designed for SFV look like? Result & Conclusions: Serviced office space is a company that letting functional workspace with access to shared facilities e.g. reception, office machines, internet, phone and more.
