Our study aims at investigating the unit manager?s, within LSS, perceiveddiscretion, when people with Down´s syndrome develop Alzheimer?s disease. We wanted to know what they perceive as limiting factors or facilitators in order to meet changing and/or emerging needs, as well as how they interpret their discretion in relation to this. We have conducted semi-structured qualitative interviews with five unit mangers within LSS.When analyzing the interview material, we have used a theoretical approach from a street-level bureaucracy and from the unit managers? perceiveddiscretion point of view.Our study?s result demonstrate that the unit managers are experiencing a wide discretion and do not feel a need to widen their identifieddiscretion..

Vi kommer i vårt arbete att belysa hur elever med neuropsykiatrisk diagnos ser på skillnaderna med att gå i specialklass jämfört med att gå i vanlig klass. Vidare kartlägges om eleverna hade önskat eventuella förbättringar gällande undervisningssyftet. På skolorna finns det vanliga klasser, men även speciella klasser för elever med neuropsykiatriskt funktionshinder, såsom t.ex. ADHD, DAMP, ADD och Aspergers syndrom. Vi har genomfört semistrukturerade intervjuer med sex elever på två olika gymnasieskolor, där majoriteten av eleverna föredrog att gå i specialklass.

För att språket ska fungera normalt krävs ett samspel mellan uttrycksförmåga och förståelse av språk. Afasi är en språkstörning som kommer sig av en skada i de delar av hjärnan som påverkar språket. Att få afasi kan innebära en stor omställning i livet och ofta uppstår ett behov av anpassning av kommunikationen både för personen som fått afasi och personer i dess omgivning. Detta inkluderar även den vårdpersonal som arbetar nära personen med afasi. För att nå förståelse och kunna ge vård och omsorg av god kvalitet, måste tillräcklig kunskap om afasi finnas hos vårdpersonalen.

In 2001 the World Health Organization (WHO) issued a revised global recommendation for exclusive breastfeeding for a child ´s first six months. The aim of this study was to investigate what information parents receiving from the Child Health Care about introduction of solids to breastfed infants and if they follow the recommendation. A further aim is to document reasons for introduction of solids at the selected time and describe what food parents start with.The method has a descriptive and a qualitative design. Users of several Swedish parenting websites were asked to participate in the study. A total of 27 users completed the anonymous open-ended questions posted on the websites.

Fieldstudys on 22 farms (23 silos) to study relationships between the actual particle size of the maize silage and the theoretical length of cut. The measure of theoretical length of cut were stated by the farmers and not measured by us. Particle size of maize silage was determined using the New Penn State Forage Particle Separator. SLU Skara made a special sieve for us, that had larger holes than de original sieves. The samples were shaken after instructions and then the material was weighted. We have also been taking out samples for microbiological analyses from the silos on 13 of the farms.

This present study is a result of a research that I made . My purpose is to find out how the debate about inclusion looked like back in the history. My research was about the view we had absolut inclusion in the history, I also made some interviewes among teachers and students in the schools of today. I wanted to se their views about inclusion today and I wanted to know their opinions about inclusion. Did the students and the teachers have prejudice against other students with functional disabilities as Down syndrom and blindness? What was their thoughts about inclusion of students with differents functional disabilities?One more task I had with this study I made was to raise another debate about inclusion .! Keywords: Inclusion and funtional disabilities.

The purpose of this thesis is to investigate the functions of the public library for parents of infants and how they see the ideal library. The research questions are: How do parents of infants use the library and what are their experience of it? What opinions and wishes do parents of infants have regarding the library? How can library services be developed to better match the needs of the parents of infants? The theoretical approach is based on Marianne Andersson and Dorte Skot-Hansen?s model of the public library?s functions and the model of classification by Ellen-Merete Duvold and Gunnar Sæbø. To answer my research questions I have carried out three focus-group interviews with parents of infants. The study revealed that the public library functions as a cultural centre, a social centre, a knowledge centre and, to a certain extent, an information centre for the parents.

AbstraktStudien syftar till att undersöka hur chefer upplever att medarbetares generationstillhörighet har betydelse för deras ledarskap. Men också att studera på vilket sätt cheferna beskriver innebörden av begrepp så som generation och ledarskap. I samhällsdebatten pratas det flitigt om generationer och vad som skiljer dem åt. På arbetsmarknaden pågår det ett stort generationsskifte. Men hur spelar detta in i chefsroller och deras ledarskap? Tidigare forskning visar att generation Y, X och Baby boom skiljer sig åt och genom det behöver ett differentierat ledarskap.

Babies born prematurely are deprived of normal sensorimotor stimulation when placed in an artificial environment, the incubator. The aim of this project was to design a series of products that could promote the baby?s emotional and neurological development, and to facilitate parental bonding. The products designed in this project has a theoretical basis on the research available today on cognitive and emotional development in children born prematurely. They were developed in close cooperation with a group of parents and nurses in a neonatal intensive care unit.Presence is a product collection for developmental care, consisting of a mattress, a figure and a necklace. The mattress has vibration sensors that transfer the mother?s heart beat and speakers with recorded heartbeat and her voice.

Syfte: Syftet med denna studie är att undersöka bildens betydelse som ett verktyg, en artefakt, för att utveckla kommunikationen tillsammans med två elever som har diagnosen Charge. Syftet är också att personalen runt eleverna ska öka sin förmåga att se kommunikationen som redan finns och fungerar.Teori: Kommunikation, samspel och språk påverkar oss mycket i vår vardag. Grundsärskolans kursplan betonar att människan genom kommunikationen utvecklar sin identitet. Charge syndrom innebär för individen en svårighet i att samordna sina sinnen. Här talar man också om det proprioceptiska och det vestibulära sinnet vilka har stor inverkan på hur individen upplever sin egen kropp.

Akutvårdspersonal utsätts allt mera för svårare katastrofer och olyckor. Vilket leder till en ökad press på personalen. Syftet med denna studie var att belysa hur akutvårdspersonalen bearbetar traumatiska händelser för att inte utveckla post-traumatiskt stress syndrom. Metoden var en litteraturstudie. Artiklarna analyserades med Lundman och Graneheims (2008) kvalitativa innehållsanalys.18 artiklar analyserades.

Background: Women are recommended to breastfeed exclusively for six month; despite this the frequency of breastfeeding duration is decreasing in Sweden. Research indicates that there is an association between attitudes towards breastfeeding and perceived difficulties and initiation and duration of breastfeeding. The aim: to study women?s attitudes to breastfeeding and their perceived difficulties with breastfeeding expressed on parent oriented websites on the Internet. Method: Data consisting of users posts corresponding to the aim of the study were collected from two parent oriented websites on the Internet.

Fetma är ett tillstånd som har visat sig öka risken för utvecklandet av metabolt (MS) syndrom hos människa. MS karaktäriseras av fetma (framförallt bukfetma), insulinresistens (IR), diabe-tes mellitus och högt blodtryck. Idag anses fetma även vara en av orsakerna till utvecklandet av ekvint metabolt syndrom (EMS) som ses hos hästar. EMS liknar till stor del den sjuk-domsbild som ses hos människor med metabolt syndrom. Förutom fetma är regionala fettan-sättningar och IR vanligt förekommande hos dessa hästar som ofta även utvecklar fång.

Med mitt examensarbete vill jag förklara vad FMT-metoden är. Jag berättar kort musikterapins historia och jag ger också en förklaring på metoden. Förklarar kort Rett syndrom och autism. Jag beskriver vidare mitt praktikarbete där jag valt att undersöka vad det är i metoden som gör att det känns meningsfullt för adepten. Trots att jag inte kunnat se några större förändringar efter 15 gånger har adepterna ändå tyckt det varit roligt att komma till sessionerna.
