The aim of this Master?s thesis is to examine how gender is described in some of the most popular children?s picture books in year 2007 and 2008. The theory used is based on Berger?s and Luckmann?s theory about Social construction, Bjerrum Nielsen?s and Rudberg?s theory about Gender socialization, Gens? theory How girls becomes women and boys becomes men and Hirdman?s theory about Gender contracts. Our study examining how well the guidelines, from Skolverket (School Department), aboutgrades in the course "Samhällskunskap A" are implemented in the Swedish Upper SecondarySchool. The study focus on both teachers and students. To discover which knowledge the bothgroups have, we have used two different methods. The students have answered a survey,which was based on the phrases from the course plan "Samhällskunskap A" about grades. Thesurvey wanted to see how well the students could match the correct phrases with the gradesteps (the Swedish school uses three grade steps).

The purpose of this study has been to exam how sports professors interpret the term"friluftsliv" and in which way sports professors treat "friluftsliv" and staying outside inelementary school.The paper stems from the reasons to why sports professors believe that "friluftsliv" is hard topursue in elementary school.In order to carry out the purpose, five professors from four different schools have beeninterviewed. The choice of method been semi structured, qualitative, and individualinterviewing. The theoretical starting points are habitus- and ramfaktor theory.The conclusion of how sports professors find the term "friluftsliv", is that it is vieweddifferently depending on each ones individual background. The research showed that all fiveprofessors believed that Lgr11 has made the new curriculum much more clear and structured,also that "friluftsliv" is portrayed in a much more positive light.My study showed that these five professors aren't limited by the problems with "friluftsliv".Instead all five of them find it that the conditions for "friluftsliv" are good, and that the woodsare in direct connection with the woods..

Background: 2007 there was 42 000 fall related accidents in Sweden and they are expected to increase the next few years. Fall among elders results in both increasing economically costs and suffering, but they can be prevented. For example has physical exercise shown an increasing effect on the risk for falls. Aim: The aim of this literature review was to investigate what influence Tai Chi has on the risk for falling among elder. Method: A literature review was conducted where eleven scientific articles were analysed with inspiration of the content analysis.

Can meditation aid in a situation of conflict? This paper answers that question.The reason I chose to examine this topic is due to own positive experiences that convinced me of the link between meditation and conflict resolution. I wish to bring more light on this topic and to faciliate further research within the area.Through analyzing material on meditation, meditation and emotion and emotion and conflict, I find here that some of the effects of meditation has a positive effect on our emotions and also that we can work through meditation to learn about the way we act on our emotions and also how we can learn to act to our advantage. I also show how emotions play a vital role in conflicts between individuals and groups and that it is most urgent that we use what means we have to work conflict to our best use. I believe that conflict has it?s place in society and that good things can come from it, but that we can work with the conflict so that it does not escalate out of proportion.

The overall objective of our research is to understand  how social workers in social services protect the individual's autonomy, integrity and a coercive law which deprives the individual of his rights.In this study, we bring out social secretaries perspective on how they see the compulsory treatment and the problems that can arise in a detention. This study is based on the questions; How are power between social worker and client? What is the social secretary of the law on compulsory as a tool to help clients?We interviewed eight social workers who work specifically with compulsory treatment. We used the result to answer our questions. As a theoretical background, we chose to use the power perspective, the concepts of flexibility and freedom of action and categorizations.The results that emerged from our study are that compulsory treatment is considered to be a positive and negative thing.
