Att förebygga hot och våld mot socialsekreterare
The aim of the study was to examine if and how the social service and the social welfare secretary provides against threat and violence in the encounter with clients. The study is qualitative and carried out with six semi-structured interviews with social welfare secretaries and participation observations at the social welfare offices in three municipalities. The theoretical starting points used were symbolic interactionism and strange loops. The result shows that social service and social welfare secretaries both use measures to prevent threat and violence to occur. The precautionary measures mainly used by social services are ; looked doors, alarm device, loose objects removes and interview rooms are furnish in purpose for the social welfare secretary to flee the room at urgent need.
Social Construction of Crisis: The Constructed Realities of SAS Ground Service Employees Regarding the Preparatory Period of Strategy 2011 Organizational Development Program.
The thesis explores an ongoing dialectical process between different levels of employees including top management to workers of Scandinavian Airline Service (SAS) regarding a new change program and to find out the possible social construction among them. In particular, it searches for the constructed reality of SAS ground service employees at Malmö Airport with regard to the preparatory stage of SAS Strategy 2011. A possible ambiguity in dialectical process is explored as it relates to an organization?s ability to effectively influence the understanding and identity of its employees through discourse.
Med Lean i bagaget - En studie om Leans förmåga att öka produktiviteten av en bagagehanteringsprocess
Although Lean has received an increased amount of attention in the service context, research still has not established how successfully Lean manages to increase service productivity; since service productivity consists of both efficiency and quality. Research regarding productivity discusses the risk of a tradeoff between efficiency and quality in service production processes. Therefore, this thesis aims to explore if the tradeoff in a production setting with low variability in demand and low customer participation exists, after Lean has been implemented. With a qualitative approach, a case study has been conducted at Scandinavian Airlines Ground Handling to evaluate the effects of Lean in the baggage handling process. The result of the study shows that the tradeoff has not been overcome; efficiency has increased at the expense of quality.
Musikens innebörd och påverkan i elevers skolgång : En studie om hur musiken betraktas och används av elever och lärare i årskurs 8 och 9.
I have been using qualitative interviews to explore music's influence in school from a learning perspective, community perspective and identity-building perspective. I have visited two classes at two different schools to do these interviews with ten informants, both students and teachers. My interview questions were almost the same for both students and teachers, but differed in wording. My research is based on the informants? answers and relevant sources such as literary books, curricula and the Internet.After fieldwork was completed, I transcribed the interviews to further analyze them according to relevant theories, such as Bergman (2009) and Antal Lundström (1996).
E-learning : En empirisk undersökning om kunskapssynen hos fyra e-learningproducenter
Denna kandidatuppsats handlar om e-learning. Syftet med uppsatsen var att ta reda på vilken kunskapssyn som e-learningproducenterna ger uttryck för.Undersökningen avgränsades till fyra organisationer i Sverige som skapar e- learningutbildningar, vilka alltså kallas för e-learningproducenter i uppsatsen. Frågeställningen löd: Vilken kunskapssyn framträder hos organisationerna som deltagit i undersökningen?Syftet uppfylldes genom kvalitativa semistrukturerade intervjuer samt dokumentanalys.Därefter, med verktyget diskursanalys och med grund i teorier kring området, analyserades resultatet av undersökningen.Framför allt framträdde tendenser kring social och konstruktivistisk syn på lärande hos e-learningproducenterna. Dock kunde inte en enhetlig kunskapssyn för alla fyra e-learningproducenter urskiljas.De mest intressanta diskurserna var kunskap som mätbart, att kunderna inte köper pedagogik, respondenternas reflektioner kring kommunikation och interaktion samt problematisering kring teknikens begränsningar..
Nedläggning av service i levande landsbygder : En studie om servicen och dess föreställningar, utveckling och möjligheter
Syftet med uppsatsen har varit att undersöka hur de statliga föreställningarna om en fungerande service ser ut och sätta dem i relation till den faktiska utvecklingen på landsbygden, och även att undersöka alternativa lösningar till hur servicen på landsbygden kan bedrivas. Studien har fokuserat på svenska landsbygder generellt och för att söka svar på syftet har statliga myndigheters rapporter och dokument granskats där insikt har erhållits om hur servicen, något normativt bör vara. Genom metoder som kvalitativ textanalys av dessa rapporter, teoretiska ingångspunkter om landsbygdens nya ruralitet och tillgänglighet samt intervjuer med olika aktörer, dels om nytänkande servicelösningar och dels om landsbygdens servicesituation, sätts politik och praktik mot varandra. Det har visat sig att den politiska föreställningen om hur servicen bör vara ej till fullo överensstämmer med verkligheten. För att planera för en fungerande service på landsbygden krävs ett nytänkande med lösningar som beaktar dagens samhälle och det lokala, flexibilitet och innovationsrikedom..
SANNINGENS ÖGONBLICK En komparativ undersökning av ett stadsbiblioteks och en byggvaruhandels arbete med att möta sina besökare
The purpose of this thesis is to discuss how a Swedish public library approaches their costumers. I will show how a library interacts with their costumers compared to a business, which has a different economic work frame, a building materials supplier. My aim is to pinpoint differences and explore new methods for the library in order to improve their service.The theoretical frame of the thesis is based on Richard Norman's notion the Moment of truth. The moment of truth is the moment when a business has to convince their customer that they offer both the product, proficiency and service that the customer needs. Service encounters at two organizations have been observed and their differences and similarities compared.
Public service och sociala medier : En studie om hur redaktionerna pa? Morgonpasset i P3 och P3morgen anva?nder sociala medier som arbetsverktyg
The purpose of this study is to examine how the editorial staff from the Swedish radio program Morgonpasset i P3 and the Norwegian radio program P3morgen uses Facebook and Twitter and how they can use social media as a tool in the production. The purpose is also to examine how active both of the editorial staff are on Facebook and Twitter and which kind of language they use on Facebook and Twitter. The radio programs both work under a lot of similar conditions and are both controlled by public service in both countries. To conduct the study qualitative interviews was performed with the web editor Christoffer Malm from Morgonpasset i P3 and the radio presenter Silje Nordnes from P3morgen in combination with a quantitative content analysis. The study was conducted over a limited period of the autumn of 2013.
Betyg i gymnasiesärskolan : En studie kring elevers erfarenheter av att få betyg
The purpose of this study is to examine pupils´ experiences from getting grades in upper secondary education for pupils with learning disabilities and which impact this has on these pupils how they form and get formed as schoolchildren. Four pupils in upper secondary education for pupils with learning disabilities in a Swedish community have participated in qualitative semi-structured interviews. All analysis that has been made has focused on these pupils´ stories about getting grades. I have asked openly formulated questions so that the pupils themselves have had the possibility to highlight those experiences that they want to share.Three categories that I have used, with starting point from the questions in this study, to analyze the answers in the interview material is how the pupils talk about the bases for grading, the pupils´ self-awareness when they talk about their own grades and the pupils´ view when they talk about the importance of grades. The theoretical base of the study is policy enactment.One conclusion of this study is that both teachers and pupils in upper secondary education for pupils with learning disabilities often is based on other factors than what different policy documents says about what should be the ground for teachers grading.
De osynliga barnen? : en studie om Kriminalvården och Socialtjänstens arbete med barn till frihetsberövade föräldrar
The purpose of this essay was to look at how the Swedish Prison and Probation Service and the Social Service work with children who have parents in prison and what they can do to ease the contact between the children and their parents. In our study we have used different questions regarding parent role, gender, child perspective, contact possibilities and collaboration. We have interviewed six prison officers and five social workers in Skåne. We have also used previously written reports. Our conclusions are that the parent role is affected by imprisonment and more amongst the women than the men.
Serviceerbjudande : En jämförelse av skola och omsorg mellan Sverige och Virginia (USA).
Syfte: Mitt val av ämne härstammar från egna reflektioner och erfarenheter av att bo och leva i USA ett antal år. Jag har successivt insett att det är större skillnad mellan våra kulturer än vad jag hade förväntat mig. Med tre barn i skolan är kontaktytan mot utbildning stor och det går inte att undvika att göra jämförelser. Ämnet för uppsatsen landade i en jämförelse av serviceerbjudanden med skola och omsorg som tillämpningsområde. Syftet med uppsatsen är att med marknadsföring och service management som teoretisk bas beskriva och analysera serviceerbjudandet gentemot barnfamiljer i Virginia och Sverige.
Vision och verklighet - En fallstudie av hur biblioteket på Linnéskolan i Älmhult arbetar för att hjälpa eleverna nå upp till aktuella lärandemål
The purpose of this master thesis is to investigate if and how the school library in Linnéskolan in Älmhult is working towards the learning goals that can be find in the different school documents that are represented by the municipality of Älmhult. This includes goals for the school, for the school library and for the subject of social studies in the ninth grade. We also want to investigate if the school library helps the students to reach the learning goals and if there are any factors that can be improved in the school library. We have used an evidence based approach to define factors in the school library that can be improved. In the chapter that describes our theoretical approach, we have also discussed three different pedagogical theories; teacher-centered teaching, individual constructivism and social constructivism.
Motorikens betydelse för inlärning
AbstractMy purpose with this study is to find out if it helps children who have diffuculties with their concentration if they get to practise their motor behaviour knowledge during their day at the school to promote their learning capacity. My purpose is also to find out how schools works with motor behaviour training. To get answers to my questions have I done interviews with four educationalists and I have also used books and internet sites. Motor behaviour is of importance to how children learn things in the school, without a well working motor children gets difficulties to sit still and to concentrate. The children may put their energy at the wrong things in the classroom, when the energy instead should be need to learning things.
Kokning av vatten : En learning study om grundskoleelevers erfarenheter av vattenkokningsprocessen
En learning study om grundskoleelevers förklaring av vattenkokning och fasövergången har gjorts. Utifrån tidigare forskning har några delar av materians beskaffenhet och kokning av vatten valts ut och använts för att designa ett förtest som hjälper till att kartlägga elevernas tidigare kunskap. Alla elevers svar har analyserats och jämförts med varandra i likheter och skillnader. Några kritiska aspekter av lärandeobjektet valdes och en lektion som belyser de kritiska aspekterna av lärandeobjektet planerades. Genomförandet av lektionen filmades med fokus på att belysa kritiska aspekterna och filmen transkriberades för att studera samtalen under lektionen.

AbstractThe intention of our study was to examine the meaning of home of elderly women and men and how they experience their getting older. We also wanted to see how elderly women and men experience to receive home-help-service in their own home. The study was based on qualitative interviews with elderly women and men. The informants were five women and four men between the ages of 60-84 years. They all had everyday help from the home-help-service.
