Projektmodell för införande av affärssystem : Ett konsultbolags implementeringsprocess i tjänsteföretag

Companies acquiring ERP systems are often dissatisfied with the project and therefore consultancy firms wish to make use of project models in order to achieve success in implementations. Since research on ERP implementations in service companies is limited, there is a need for mapping of critical activities in implementation projects in this line of business. Under these premises, the purpose of our master thesis is to develop a model for implementation of ERP systems, specified in activities, which can be used by mid-sized consultancy firms with mid-sized qualified service companies as customers.A literature study including project models, modern models and methodologies for ERP implementation, commonly existent activities, success factors and system development methods was carried out. Starting out with this, a theoretical model for ERP implementation was generated. In excess of this, a case study was conducted, where the implementation of the ERP system Microsoft Dynamics AX at the service company Eurostep, performed by the consultancy firm Medius, was studied.

BBIC i samverkan för barnets bästa

Purpose of this study is to investigate whether BBIC had an effect on the interaction between social services and schools. To find this out, a comparative study carried out between two municipalities in southern Sweden who has worked with the BBIC system different lengths of time. The empirical data is based on six qualitative interviews with heads of unit in social services, principals in secondary schools, and social workers who work with children- and youth investigations. The theoretical framework consists of Bronfenbrenners Ecology model, systems theory as organizational theory and the theory of autopoiesis, and Danermark model of collaboration. The results of the survey show that respondents do not find that their inter-organizational collaboration has been significantly affected by the implementation of BBIC, but that BBIC provides a good basis for collaboration due to the logic and structure of the system..

Skiljer sig beteendet mellan vargar i fångenskap och i det vilda?

Vargar hålls i fångenskap på djurparker och olika forskningsanläggningar för att man vill bedriva forskning och utbilda djurparksbesökare. Syftet med detta arbete är att undersöka om vargars beteende skiljer sig åt i fångenskap och i det vilda. Vargar har ett stort register av beteenden som innehåller allt ifrån förflyttning, jakt, lek, parning, valpuppfödning och hierarki. Vilda vargflockar består av familjeenheter med ett föräldrapar och deras icke-könsmogna avkommor medan vargflockar i fångenskap ofta består av ihopsatta individer som inte är besläktade med varandra. Detta medför att hierarkin ser olika ut i fångenskap gentemot i frihet.

Skogsindustrin har de senaste decennierna ökat anslag och ansträngningar för att utveckla nya och mer högförädlade produktsegment för att motverka trenden att substitut tar marknadsandelar från träprodukter. Innovation, marknadsföring och kundrelationer är traditionellt områden som skogsbranschen har åsidosatt då ansträngningar och kapital investerats på processutveckling. De är därmed, överlag, mindre erfarna på dessa områden än andra industrisektorer vilket resulterat i att nya produkter och innovationer sprids långsamt på marknaden samt att medvetenheten om dessa produkter bland slutkunder ofta är bristfällig. Mellanstruken panel är en industriellt målad panel med två lager färg som började produceras 2007 och kan anses vara innovativ vidareutveckling av den grundmålade panelen. I dagsläget säljer de flesta byggvaruhus produkten via beställningssortiment eller lagerhållning men användningen bland hantverkare är mindre utbredd. Medvetenheten om produkten är bristfällig och en mycket liten andel av slutkunderna har vetskap om mellanstruken panel. Syftet med studien är att utreda vilka hinder det finns bland de byggvaruhus som klassas som sen majoritet, enligt teorin om spridning av innovationer, att introduceras för och därefter börja sälja mellanstruken panel.

Executive summary This master thesis was originally based on a specific assignment given to the authors from ABB Full Service, a unit specializing in providing maintenance outsourcing: ?How can ABB Full Service expand its offering of providing fundamental maintenance by seamlessly incorporating the business concept with competencies and solutions from other ABB divisions?? The academic issue was developed throughout the thesis, resulting in the following formulation: ?From an organizational perspective; how can service providers bring continuous added value to intra-organizational outsourcing partnerships?? Many of the key findings of this thesis are reflected in the issue. The term intra-organizational outsourcing is a proposed addition to the terminology in the academic discourse on outsourcing. The definition of the term is: ? Where an organization outsources a business process interlinked with the physical operations, requiring the service provider to take over a preexisting unit and its employees.This is an accurate description of the form of outsourcing that ABB Full Service is engaged in.

As IT service departments in organisations are becoming more complex and customised, the indirect costs are increasing in relation to the total costs. The difficulty of fully estimating and identifying the spread of the cost in the IT service department is increasing. As a result, firms tend to budget the business unit as a total cost rather than as a spread of defined costs. In order to deal with this challenge an ABC calculation will be applied. The Time Driven ABC model will be conducted in OMX´s Servicedesk unit within the IT services.

The main purpose with this MA thesis is to examine how visually impaired, disabled and people with dyslexia define service quality at the public library of Linköping. The method that has been used is focus group interviews. A focus group consists of four to eight people who are joined together, without knowing each other before, to discuss a certain subject. The aim is to get a wide spread of answers. A secondary purpose is to examine how this method works.

The main focus of this study is to explore Swedish soldiers? experiences of the transition back to everyday life after international service missions. This includes the help and support that they have received and also what barriers to care they have experienced during the transition back to everyday life. The theoretical perspectives of this study are social identity and stigma theory. This study was performed using a qualitative method and includes six individual interviews with active duty officers within the Swedish armed forces.

Förekomst av MyBP-C mutationer hos katter med hypertrofisk kardiomyopati :

Hypertrophic cardiomyopathy (HCM) is the most commonly diagnosed cardiac disease in cats. The phenotype varies from mild focal thickening to severe concentric hypertrophy at the left ventricle. Two separate myosin binding protein C (MYBPC3) mutations have been identified in Maine coon cats (A31P and A74T) and one in Ragdoll cats. All three of them seem to cause familial HCM in an autosomal dominant pattern. The purpose of this study was to investigate the presence of these three mutations in population cats of different breeds with HCM in Sweden. The results may show if HCM is present in the absence of these mutations.

Transportation represents 10-15 % of wood supply costs. It is therefore important to improve efficiency in the transport system to decrease these costs. The aim of this study is to map the timber vehicle routing processes used by a sample of timber hauling contractors and to identify possible links between the vehicle routing process and service and economic variables. The study was carried out at Södra Skog in autumn 2008. 15 timber hauling contractors were sampled and interviewed about their work with timber transports.
