Abstract: Facebook in the Public Sector - qualitative interviewstudy with The Swedish maritime Administration, the Swedish Meteorological and Hydrological Institute, the Swedish prison and Probation services and the municipality of Katrineholm about their precense on Facebook.In my bachelor?s thesis I have studied how three government authority and one municipality uses or don?t use Facebook in their communication towards the citizens. I have chosen to study four different cases, to see if there are any significant similarities or differences between how the different services are working with their communication. I have chosen to explore my cases through semi-structured qualitative interviews, where I met communications officers of every organisation face to face.I have found out that there is not one right way to communicate through Facebook, every organisations decisions must be based on their own mission, aims and objectives. And I have seen that both the transmitter and the receiver need to mature into the new acting of this new channel - Facebook..

The Anybus CompactCom modules are today using the Anybus NP30 processor. These modules are used for communication between industrial machines and larger network protocols. The communication loads on these systems are increasing every day and the limiting factor for the system is the processor.HMS, the company that develops the Anybus CompactCom, has shown interest for a benchmark test between the old processor and a new processor, ARM Cortex-M3. This project includes that benchmark. To be able to get results that reflect reality a test environment was created to simulate Anybus CompactCom conditions.

The purpose of this study was to research the way people choose to present them self and how the communication on an internet dating site is used.

This is a thesis on the Intranet use in the European Parliament. We investigated the use from a multilingual point of view, but also from a communication perspective. What we wanted to know was how a multilingual group, with presumably different computer skills, in the organisation handle the Intranet information. What are the positive and negative effects of a multilingual information exchange over an Intranet? To find out, we sent a questionnaire as an e-mail attachment to all members of a chosen committee and their assistants.

Internal communication is very important for the success of an organization. The county council Landstinget i Värmland is a large organization with many managers on different positions. Every one of these managers gets an email every week, with the message that a new manager letter, called Chef, is published on the intranet. With my paper I am examining what the managers think of this letter, how they use it and if managers on different positions differ from each other in opinions about and use of the letter. I want to find out if there is a need of Chef as a part of the internal communication of Landstinget i Värmland.To answer these questions, I have chosen a quantitative method in the form of a questionnaire which is send to all the receivers of the manager letter.

Användandet av Internet ökar varje år och företag blir i takt med detta mer och mer beroende av att kunna erbjuda sina kunder tjänster här. Ett hot mot dessa tjänster är den distribuerade belastningsattacken. En belastningsattacks mål är att göra en server på Internet otillgänglig för vanliga användare genom att antingen överbelasta den med stora mängder data för att skada serverns bandbredd eller att göra ett stort antal uppkopplingsförfrågningar för att skada serverns kapacitet att behandla meddelanden. Vid en distribuerad belastningsattack använder en angripare sig av många datorer på Internet vilka inte är dennes egna för att göra sin attack mycket starkare. The purpose of this thesis is to examine how the public libraries work towards SFI (Swedish For Immigrants) based on the views of the overseeing librarians. To study this we have asked the following research questions:What distinguishes the public libraries? work towards SFI according to the responsible librarians? What distinguishes the communication between SFI teachers and the librarians according to the responsible librarians? What opinions are held by the librarians in regards to their work with SFI?We have used a semi structured interview method with seven librarians in charge of the activities with SFI at small and medium sized public libraries in a rural area of Sweden. The theoretical framework is composed of Marianne Andersson and Dorte Skot-Hansen?s model for analysis of the local public library profile and the authors? definition of collaboration.

Abstract The purpose of writing this thesis was to improve methods during requirements engineering phase. Usercentred system engineering has some problem areas, which are examined and verified to create a new guideline for developers. This guideline tends to make requirements engineering more effective and help developers create more concrete requirements. It is not uncommon that system development projects ends up with unsatisfied users or delay in deliveries. The reasons are different kinds of communication problems between users and developers during verification of requirements.

Aim: Many people react negatively when they find out that I work as an estate agent. They believe that estate agents earn more money then they should. What many do not know is how hard we must work and that it doesn´t suit someone who is looking for an 8-17 work. As an estate agent I thought it would be interesting to found out why the estate agents have such a bad reputation.Method: This essay is based on the interviews with estate agents and branch organizations but also on newspaper articles about real estate agents. Theory is collected marketing, where I have concentrate on concepts of branding, positioning, communication and image.Result & Conclusions: The factors, which I found in my investigation, that have an effect to the bad reputation are; media, commission, the customers and the bidding.

Klustring innebär att flera servrar arbetar tillsammans och på så sätt klarar av en uppgift som en ensam server inte skulle klara. Klustring kan också användas för att säkra drift med hjälp av en eller ett flertal servrar som väntar i startgropen om den aktiva servern som tillhandahåller tjänsten går ner. Detta examensarbete utfördes genom att först undersöka vilka kluster­lösningar som fanns tillgängliga. Därefter utfördes intervjuer med företag som använde sig av olika typer av klustring. Laborationer gjordes för vidare undersökning av några av de mjukvaror som de intervjuade företagen använde. Det upptäcktes att variationen av lösningar hos de intervjuade företagen inte var så stor som förväntat innan arbetet påbörjades. Efter genomförd litteraturstudien och intervjumaterialet, för att sedan ge rekommendationer på vilka lösningar som bör väljas av exempelföretag utifrån vilka krav och kriterier som finns hos dessa..
