The purpose with this study was to investigate how parents experience their situation in life, having personal assistance at home to support their small children with disabilities. Different areas were investigated. What made them apply for personal assistance? How does the support affect the family and their parenthood? What would it mean if their children would not have personal assistance? The study was made using a qualitative method and the material was gathered through interviews. A combination of symbolic interactionism and system theory were used as theoretical perspectives.

Amyotrofisk Laterskleros (ALS) är en neurologisk sjukdom som endast drabbar det motoriska nervsystemet vilket leder till förlamning och slutligen döden, överlevnaden är 3-5 år. Det finns inget botemedel mot sjukdomen, endast symtomatisk behandling. Lidande kan gestalta sig på olika sätt, välbefinnande är en unik upplevelse och högst individuell. En vårdrelation mellan en patient med denna diagnos och vårdpersonalen bör ges utrymme och präglas utav patientens önskemål. En ökad förståelse gentemot dessa patienters upplevelse är centralt och av stor betydelse för vårdrelationen.

The word mathematics is often associated to addition, subtraction, division or multiplication. This is not the kind of mathematics that belongs to pre-school. In my essay I have chosen to write about how mathematics is used in pre-school. In the literature it is written that the best way of becoming familiar with mathematics, is to integrate it in the every day life but that there are educators that use traditional mathematics education in pre-school. Uppsatsen är en kvalitativ studie av bilderböcker, från 1970-talet och 2000-talet. I början av uppsatsen presenteras en historisk tillbakablick i bilderbokens historia för att skapa förståelse för hur bilderboken är uppbyggd och vad den innehåller idag.Studien behandlar olika teman i bilderböcker, förskola, döden, skilsmässa och invandring. Med fokus på ett visst tema från 1970-talet, sedan har denna jämförts med en bok från 2000-talet som analyserats med samma utgångspunkter.Inspirerade av en tidigare studie har vi utgått från följande frågor för vår analys: hur samspelar text och bild i bilderboken? Hur beskriver bilden händelsen i boken? Stämmer skildringen i boken överens med sin tid samt vad finns det för skillnader respektive likheter i våra utvalda bilderböcker inom särskilda teman, i jämförelse 1970-tal samt 2000-tal?I resultat och analys presenteras böckerna, vad de handlar om, en deskriptiv analys av vardera bok och en jämförande analys. Sedan skrivs en sammanfattande analys, då de båda tidsepokerna, 1970-tal och 2000-tal jämförs.

This study aims to explore how employment of people with intellectual disabilities has grown from only a few participants in the 1960 to be a statutory right. The aim is further to describe the progress and how theories about disability, normalization and social integration relate to the activity. Particular attention is given to the conditions of the labour market and how it influences the activity. Does the ambition to get activity closer the labour market changes and if there are changing, in what way? Is it important that employment resemble or can lead to a common work? The method is to study and analysis periodicals and newspapers articles and make interviews.

This study investigates how tagging is being used in a new way when members of a Swedish dating site get to tag themselves in an act of self-presentation with the aim of meeting new people. In the study seven members of the dating site Mazily were interviewed about their self-presentation, tagging and identity formation there. The questions concerned how they formed their own tags, but also how they interpret and use other members' tags in their search for a potential partner.I have been using queer theories for this study, in order to find out what kind of norms and structures that lie behind and affect the members' behaviour on the website. My study finds that the interviewed members to a high degree reflect about both their own and other members tagging and self-presentations. Although they spend quite some time trying to analyse other people on the website they have a great sense of understanding that a person may give two very different impressions on the site and offline.

This is an empirical study based on Physical Education and health (PE) teachers' experiences and builds on, for the study, significant literature. The study is about PE teachers? consideration of gender in the assessment as well as in the selection of lesson content. Semi-structured interviews were employed as method for the data collecting process. Four teachers were interviewed, teachers of PE in elementary and upper secondary school with varied length of professional experience and ages.

Today patients are more aware of their rights regarding their own care. They are more informed, more engaged and have more and individual requirements, which leads to increased demands for information and participation increases. The Health Act sets out the patients´ right to participation. Participation increases patient satisfaction with care, promotes healing and increases adherence to health care advise. The patient doesn´t always experience participation in their own care to the extent they wish, which suggests that nurse?s does not always succeed in getting the patient involved.

The purpose of this master thesis is to examine some pre-school teacher's and parent's perceptions about communication within the pre-school context and how this can be described in terms of conceptual dichotomy.The empirical investigation consists of a qualitative study, where data have been collected by interviewing two focus groups and one single parent.The main theoretical tools which the study uses as its premiss is Derridas' theory of hospitality and Habermas' theory of deliberative dialogues. The study also considers the conception of the intermediate domain as an arena for communication between parents and pre-school teachers, and further more the conception of stereotyping in social and cultural contexts.In order to explore these processes I have used the qualitative method of interpretation; Hermeneutic, also with a narrative approach to the analysis.The results and the analysis of the data show that the interviewed parent and pre-school teachers have a poor sense of knowing how much influence to give to each other. The parents were not satisfied with the level of open communication and how the pre-school teachers share information of the activities..

The purpose of this thesis is to bring insight into and understanding of how the market for emission rights in Europe currently works and what problems it is currently facing. The research can be said to be based on positive theory, in the sense that it is grounded more on empirical theory on the subject than normative theory. Furthermore, a qualitative approach to generating data has been used. This has led to a pattern mode of explanation, where understanding a unique and complex field is the focus. The theoretical perspective utilized in this thesis is mainly based on empirical research on similar market-based systems for emission control.

With a hermeneutical method using narratology this thesis is interpreting the auteure Lars von Trier´s discussed movie Antichrist. On one hand within the limits of the hermeneutic Paul Riceours analysis of structure is used to reconstruct the narrative of the film out of the different part of discourses that I have construed in my first reading to find out a deeper comprehension of the relation between the characters and their relations to the different discourses. On the other hand the discourses which extracts out of His and Hers actions and statements are related to the clues that I´ve found out from interviews with von Trier regarding Antichrist where he, among other things, touches upon philosophical work of Friedrich Nietzsche and his own disregard about protestantism and religion. All in all this first phase of interpretation is termed the different horizons which I finally interprete and coalesce with my subjects comprehension on a metadiegetic and meta-metadiegetic level. By this a ?fusion of horizons? in the sense of Hans-Georg Gadamer can take place, which directly leads into the big scene of Relevations.

Syftet men uppsatsen är att göra en kartläggning av perspektiv på graffiti i det offentliga rummet. Detta görs genom kvalitativa intervjuer av semi-strukturell karaktär med sju olika aktörer som på olika sätt spelar en roll i konflikten om graffitins existens i det offentliga. Uppsatsen präglas av ett humanistgeografisk perspektiv och undersöker även hur dessa sju aktörer upplever det offentliga rummet. Det teoretisk ramverket för uppsatsen är Doreen Massey´s Sense of place. Som också utgör det huvudsakliga källmaterialet.

Our main focus was the crime reporters? use of the medium Flashback, and attitude towards their own use of media ethics in relation to the medium Flashback.Flashback as a medium is not obliged to any media ethics and lacks a legally accountable publisher. In the search for information about committed crimes people tends to visit Flashback for the information that the traditional media cannot offer.
